being a strong believer of distraction as a way of protection, yeeun had took the liberty of turning up her music, turning down the ghosts and everything else, and gone on to dive into the korean history notes she’d taken down a couple of days earlier. she kind of wish she hadn’t been so casual about it back then when she’d still had the option to be thorough, because god, how vague she could be on paper.
of course, her occasionally vague nature was not limited to notes only: had she only acted a bit more interested earlier when her friends had tried to get her to hang out she wouldn’t have had to deal with this kind of paranormal activity. because ghosts, unreasonably enough, seemed to only like solitary places, at least that was they showed in the movies. it didn’t make a lot of sense to yeeun: if they really wanted to be so bothersome, wouldn’t it be better to haunt a ddeokbokki stand?
she should note that down though, maybe make it happen once she had the funds to finance a movie.
until then however, she was just sitting there, feeling utterly sorry for herself, and doing her best to resist the urge to put on the ghost busters theme song (it was one thing to ignore, another to actively provoke) there were so many wars to remember. history always focused on wars, probably because they were easy to put on tests and most people could actually agree on that they were awful.
from there on agreement seemed impossible, but it was a nice concept to keep in mind. probably kept people hopeful.
besides, she really wasn’t appreciating kiseop’s stab-jokes. if there was anything that she did not appreciate, it would have to be jokes where the discontinuation of her existence was the punch-line. she wasn’t seriously offended, of course, only enough to throw a medium-sized book in his general direction and hope for a headshot. but he wasn’t there, not yet, so he wouldn’t have to worry about that.
( sms to : kiso-oppa ) just enter through the main entrance!! i’m on the first floor
( sms to : kiso-oppa ) just around the corner!! you’ll see me ~
she did not feel like leaving this safe space, not for the moment. besides, a little walking wouldn’t kill him.
as soon as she’d pressed send, she got up from where she sat, more reluctant than she had any right to be, and practically dragged her feet behind her over towards the door to the hallway. leaning on the wall, yeeun had a decent view of the hallway and a firm enough position to handle the inevitable jumpscare that would hit her once he came around the corner.
some things didn’t get easier just because you knew they were coming. she was excited for him to arrive, of course, but she could think of thousands of situations she’d rather be in. all she had to do was to get the paper done, leave it on her teachers desk, and if they’d made it thus far, they could leave.
