Shoichi truly was a very kind and brave child. He chose to drag an unconscious, adult-sized person all the way across those tatami with a demon so close he could probably feel its slimy breath.

Honestly all of them were. I was always very impressed with young Kiyoshi holding out on himself in the drum house for days, without sleeping or food, terrified, yet brave enough to steal one of the drums and just keep surviving until help arrived. Teruko, besides being the youngest, still insisted on tagging along, to safe her brother and Shoichi of course never abandoned Zenitsu. Astounding children really, all three of them.
