I would love to one day get a job in as an in house concept artist, creating amazing characters and worlds. for now I just post my doodles and others crafty arts

I have not updated in forever, I kinda fell off the boat for a bit between work and home life, plus one of those things where the more you stare at it the more you see your mistakes. But with dragon con coming up in less than a month I went into overdrive.

So I’m going to start off with this- I took some artistic liberties. I’m plumper than Ryder, so it take modifications and I can’t see behind me so well while measuring. BUT I think that’s the fun part.buildong this dang thing esp since it is my first time working with Eva foam. Btw I’ve probably spent like…. $40 on this whole thing because I had other supplies already.

The legs where being a pain because from going off the texture files they look like the white section only, and then I lightened them up and now I have a new piece to deal with.

I got them together and the strapping system isn’t completely worked out yet. But for now it is Velcro to my bottoms and a strapvaroind my thigh. A belt and garter system will be implemented after I get them all sealed and painted so I don’t run the risk of messing up all the straps. The belt is the artistic part I took because of how my waists sits compared to where it needs to be. It was really difficult to get it to fit right and needs a few more adjustments to make it sit flat. It will also be attacked to the undee belt to give it support. Dont want it riding up all crazy.

So as of right now for the legs belt: seal and paint, adjust belt. Torso: fix paint, reseal collar. Arms and shoulders: ???? Have some cut outs for the arms shoulders not atm. Hope you enjoy the face.

I think for my forearm that I’ll be using an EL light so I’ll be able to put in a speaker as well for all sam’s puns. The extra $10 will be worth it

So i made a OC on the mass effect amino because im super lame. Name: Kanaad Ral Nickname: Kana Age: 20 (Earth years) Race: Angara Eye color: Golden Yellow Skin: Light Purple to a light almost white blue Markings : Light blue ( almost white) Face markings | Light pink speckles Sex: Male Sexuality: Bi / Xenophilic Affiliation: Resistance Home Planet: Helus cluster | Faroang | Havarl Occupation: Botanist | Part time Linguist/Translator Class: Weapon of choice: Snipers. Loves his Isharey. Carries a Ferran with him for close quarters. Likes: Eating whole fruits, plants, large animals, sleeping, human pastries. Dislikes: HOT PLANETS, bitter foods, small noisy creatures, he does not generally trust asari ( they remind him of softer smarter kett) but does not show his bias. Accessories: necklace with a carved stone on it. Two piercings on right side of head. Background: Growing up on Aya for a short time during his childhood, he still considers Havarl his homeworld due to the fact being born there, and living there for more than half his life. He aspired to be a linguist growing up, but because of the Kett threat (and little use for linguistics on Havarl)  he followed his mother's footsteps and studied botany and agriculture. He currently lives on Havarl but has traveled to multiple colonies and planets in the cluster, one of his favorites being Voeld. Although the kett presence has been increasing, he has not had much contact with them, his Daar being nestled in the mountains makes it difficult to find. Personality: He is known for being quiet until you get to know him. He often can get stuck on tangents when he starts talking about plants or culture. Although he has a generally grumpy appearance, he is a overall kind person. His closest friends would describe him as eccentric in the sense that he thinks out loud and has been found on multiple occasions to talk to objects and plants. He is not terribly religious, but will mention things quietly if you are listening for it. Misc : -He has  a dream to ride a Rylkor. -The writing on his cloak has the runes Hagalaz, Algiz, Sowilo, and Berkano. Each represents different concepts such as Hagalaz, which can represent the wrath of nature. This is purely because the angarran language is not available. -When the initiative arrived, he was really interested in the alien species despite his distrust for them. After meeting and working with them on Havarl, he has taken a liking to them and wants to visit the Nexus one day.

A little story I was thinking of while drawing this I imagine Sara always shows him animals from the milky way like cats and fish. So while on shore leave Jaal would take her to his home planet showing her the animals and the forest. She's just so excited because all these cool creatures are around and she is just amazing. Since Jaal was raised there he is used to them, so he is just enjoying seeing his human running around all happy and in awe. About... 8 hours worth of drawing on Photoshop.

WIP of Jaal and Sara. This man has too many dang straps and lines in his outfit. I think I'm going to put some forest in the background, like they are walking around Havarl and a bunch of alien birds are flying overhead I've had a weird drawing block since graduating, like I have not been able to draw anything serious. But today I sat down and forced myself to draw a happy little fan art
