Fabric manufacturers will produce material wider than is needed to avoid shrinkage during the dyeing process. The fabric off-cuts usually end up in a landfill. So instead, some suppliers have been turning potential waste into some great yarn! This yarn is a cotton/elastane blend, in other words, T-shirt material. Because of the way this yarn is produced, the supplier can’t guarantee color choices, so when I place my order I don’t know what colors I’m getting until the box arrives at my shop (kind of exciting).
