Quick step between streetlights, Seven hurried across the sidewalk. The dark was something sheâd always been afraid of, even in adulthood, and was probably a fear sheâd never outgrow. Fear, however, was something sheâd gotten used to and learned to live with, welcoming the feeling like an old friend. She soon learned that the feeling itself couldnât hurt her, and while she was always afraid, she was rarely hurt. That was something she was more than happy to live with, given her escape for the lab where she was constantly hurt. She paused a moment, noticing someone whose footsteps sounded familiar. She turned, facing the stranger and taking note that it wasnât who sheâd thought. Instead of continuing her endeavor, Seven gawked at the stranger, an almost amused expression on her face. She hadnât encountered many people since sheâs woken up in Washington that morning, sleeping on a bench. She wasnât the best with words, so she didnât bother to speak, just watching the stranger.Â
kitty was a wanderer and a wonderer. she was from wonderland, after all. since sheâd arrived in washington, sheâd always ventured around. she usually worked nights anyways so it wasnât like she was a stranger to the dark. after taking a shower after her last client of the night, she was walking back to her home from the service building, and thatâs when she felt eyes on her. many people gave her judgmental looks when they watched her walk out, but at least what she was doing was legal. kitty looked around for a few seconds before her eyes fell on the person that was looking at her. âwhat? save your judgment, iâve heard it all,â she said.
