“Mm, we’ll get him those little things that look like sleeping bags but they’re for your baby, to keep them warm while in a stroller. We can put him in that and take him out,” Oliver says, smiling at the idea. “I’m sure he’ll love snow.” Yawning, he takes a sip of the drink the waitress brought back as Kit orders his food.

Kit chuckles at the thought before ordering his food and leaning back, Banner straining his neck to look at him. The teenager grips the spot where his son’s thigh connects to the rest of his body and squeezes gently, the boy smiling and cooing as if trying to laugh. “I can’t wait until he start giving us those belly giggles” He states, looking at Oliver when the waitress leaves.

“He’s going to feel like we’re the paparazzi,” Ollie nods with a grin, cooing when Banner spits up. “He looks like it,” the man grabs a burp cloth from their diaper bag and wipes off the small amount of spit up from the boys clothes and then re-tangles their legs together. The waitress walks over and takes their drink orders before leaving again. “I’ve missed you KitKat,” Oliver smiles.

“Daddy dressed you all nice and then you throw up on it but you feel better now huh?” Kit coos at the little boy who is now looking up at him, smiling. He looks toward his husband and smiles “I’ve missed you too Olliepop. I’m kind of glad that you recommended dinner because I would have been stuck in the house all night and I kind of wanted to put it off as long as possible. It’s going to be harder to take Banner out when it starts to snow”

“Only if you’re sure…we can have him come over and you can see toniht, okay?” Ollie smiles tenderly, leaning over and pressing a kiss to his husbands lips. When they get out, he laughs and nods. “I think he’ll love Italian,” he decides as they walk inside. Getting a booth, they go and sit down, the hostess telling them the waitress will be right there. Ollie looks over at Kit and Banner and quickly pulls out his phone, snapping a picture.

The teenager doesn’t know that his husband is taking a picture until he hears the small noise coming from his phone and looks up with a smile to match. “Can you imagine how many pictures he’s going to have of him by the time he’s old enough to tell us not to take pictures? His entire life is going to be in pictures I swear!” He laughs, tangling their legs and kissing his son’s cheeks while he fusses before spitting up and cooing making Kit laugh loudly. “I guess he feels better”

“O-Oh…yeah, I mean…” Oliver bites his lip, not sure exactly how to handle it. “I…I want you to be comfortable with whoever…maybe Spence can come over tonight and just hang, and then we can ask whomever you’d like tomorrow?” Oliver suggests, running his long fingers through his dark hair, pulling up to the restaurant. “I don’t want you to have to worry about it all baby…”

He wants to tell him that he will worry about it no matter who takes care of Banner but he sighs softly before smiling. “Saturday night we’re going on a date and Banner is going to have a sleep over with Spence...” He says, trying to get himself into the thought that his son was going to be okay with whoever took care of him. Plus it wasn’t like they would be gone for very long. “Do you think Banner will like Italian? I ate it a lot when I was pregnant with him so maybe he’ll had an aversion to pasta....in which case, he can no longer be a part of this family” He chuckles, pulling the baby out of his car seat and wrapping him in a blanket, Banner cooing up at his father.

Laughing, Oliver nods, heading towards their favorite Italian place. “So I was thinking maybe we should go on a date on Saturday if you don’t have much work. Spence said he could watch Banner,” the man says, turning left onto a different street. He’s happy he has friends who are willing to help out with Banner.

Kit bites his lip in hesitation “That sounds fun...but can we leave him with my parents instead?” He asks, feeling horrible for not allowing anybody but him and Oliver and his parents to care for Banner. He has been like this since Banner was just born, a protectiveness falling over him like none other. It was scary, being so attached to his baby that he had to leave school early most days, just to make sure Banner was still alive, even though logically he knew that Oliver was a great dad, that he wouldn’t let anything bad happen to their son. It was the same with his parents and Spencer, he knew they would take great care of him but he just couldn’t fathom leaving Banner with him. “Um... unless Spencer wants to come over so I can see how he is with him first...”

“I’m good with whatever. We could do the deli, or italian, or the Diner?” Ollie suggests as he pulls to the front of Dalton.

Kit thinks on it for a moment before his stomach growls “Italian, definitely Italian” He chuckles, leaning back against the seat and watching the school disappear behind them. Kit was exhausted from practice, he knew that his endurance still wasn’t as close to where he wanted it to be but he hoped that it would improve as the season went on.

Oliver grabs Kit’s bag and takes it to the car so Kit can be close to their son. He drives a bit closer to the field, smiling when he sees Kit walking up, Ollie in his arms, his husband smiling. He knows it’s been rough for Kit, not being able to be there for Banner constantly. Ollie gets out and opens the door to help get Banner in his seat.

He’s apprehensive to put Banner in his car seat but does it for the sole purpose of his safety, biting his lip and climbing into the passenger’s seat. “What do you want for dinner?” He asks, curiously, buckling his own seat belt.

“You’re not out of shape,” Oliver assures, kissing Kit’s forehead. “Well, we watched Finding Nemo, because he looks really interested every time Dory gets on the screen. He spit up his milk all over himself this afternoon so I gave him a bath, and then we built our fort and took a nice little nap,” the man goes through the day. “But I can tell he missed you a lot.” 

The teenager laughs “We’re going to have to buy more soap if this continues, little man” He coos, cradling Banner in his arms and tickling his stomach. Banner, so far had been a quiet baby but he was always fussy after eating and Kit was starting to think he had some form of infant acid reflux.

Jumping slightly at the sudden contact, Oliver smiles and then flips around, Banner looking as if he realizes his Papa is so close. He cries out softly and Ollie hands him to Kit after Kit’s ready to take him. “We’ve both missed you lots,” he murmurs, kissing Kit’s cheek. “How was practice?”

Kit takes Banner without hesitation, bringing their noses together and letting the infant curl against his chest, cooing softly. “It was alright. I can tell that I’m not in shape yet but I think by the middle of the season I should be okay and back to normal” He grins, kissing his husband “What did you two do all day? Besides making forts?” He asks, kissing the infant’s head while Banner tried to eat his fists.

Ollie gets Banner in his car seat, the boy fussing until his Daddy starts singing a lullabye. Moving to the drivers seat, he buckles up and pulls out of their driveway, singing the whole way to Dalton. When he arrives, he pulls around to the fields. Not spotting his husband, he parks and grabs Banner out of the seat, the boy making noises as he heads down to the large field, seeing a few people.

“Hi.” Kit grins, wrapping his arms around his husband and child in a surprise back hug, kissing the base of his neck and snaking his arms around him so that they rested on the baby’s back alongside his husband’s. He’s still in his lacrosse uniform, has his bag on his back and stick placed in it’s holster on the side.”Hi handsomes.” He coos, making sure to address both of his boys.

Kit: Yay! Make sure he's strapped in okay..?

Ollie: I can come get you? We could go out to eat or something?

Kit: Yes please! I miss you and the baby lots right now

Ollie: If I show him every day, he'll catch on eventually.

Ollie: Where are you?

Kit: School. Lacrosse practice ran late tonight.

Kit: He's two months old...:P

Ollie: And your point?

Kit: I don't have one. I was just stating that you taught our son to make a fort at two months old forgetting that you'll have to re-teach him soon.
