Welcome to the Garden!

Suppose it's time to make a proper introduction post! Hello there! We are Kitz, a queer furry system chock full of artists finally allowing ourselves the space to grow. Our talents include sculpture, jewelry making, crochet, digital art, and many others, and there's always someone eager to try out something new. 🌱 Depending on who has the reins at the time, our posting style can vary pretty heavily. We try to keep organized and try to keep up on image descriptions, but sometimes it gets away from us. If you need something tagged, or if you notice something missing, feel free to give us a heads up! You're welcome to stay, there's always room! If there's too many cooks in the Kitchen, we can mingle in the Garden! 🌻

We followed a lot of blogs today, some of which we have been quietly checking in on for years. I'd like to take a moment to say, that if we follow you and you would really rather we didn't, please feel free to block us. This also applies if our posts are clogging up a tag you frequent. We won't be upset, as tumblr is supposed to be an experience you are allowed to curate for yourself.

That being said, we are a messy creature. We have the socialization skills of a purse dog. We have been isolating ourselves from the greater internet for years, and we do not have much experience with interacting with others. Frequently, we have fears that we shouldn't be around others because we annoy or frustrate them, and that no matter what choice we make, it will be the wrong course of action. These fears tend to keep us from learning properly both how to handle ourselves, and how to handle being hurt by things that usually have no relevancy to us. We are learning. We are trying. That might not mean much right now to anyone else, and that's okay, but if we do not allow ourselves the space to be clumsy and messy, our fear will overrun us and we will fail for lack of trying. We cannot know the perfect course of action every time, and we cannot allow that to scare us away from learning what to do. We cannot keep running away and telling ourselves that we will come back when we are better. We cannot learn if we do not engage.

we had to beg our mom for Petz 5 after a friend showed us their copy of the game. when Noelle described the Cat Petterz game in her blog posts, we knew exactly what she was referencing. we were stoked that the game we also spent hours and hours in, modding to oblivion the same way she did, was now canon to the series that touched our lives so thoroughly.
