Question for my trans followers
In my game Due Process (http://patreon.com/kivik) Iāve decided to give four playable character gender options: female, male, trans female, trans male.
For gameplay purposes, the trans gender options is meant to use alternative images: i.e. trans female will be female body with penis; trans male will be male body with vagina.
Iām aware that I have a fair few trans followers, so I wanted to take this opportunity to checkĀ if this would offend anyone - if I give gender options and make the above assumptions. Iām tempted to add (pre-op) to the trans gender options, but again I donāt know if this would seem offensive.
My whole reason for including trans gender option is for inclusive purposes, not a fetish for my game - so I feel itās really important that I get this right.
Would you prefer if I give the options and then also ask what genitals your character has? From a mechanics point of view, Iām only rendering 4 options: female, male, trans female and trans male - so the underlying meaning of the genital choices would essentially just mark your character as female when pulling the images. Again this is because the game isnāt about the genders in itself, and far as Iām concern a trans woman is just a woman and itās only when it comes to sex that theĀ āmode of sexā would differ.
