Kelly chuckled and shrugged. “Yep, and it’s alright. With everything going on I can never tell if people are staring because of the ASL, because of the baby bump, or just because they’re zoned out.” Kelly glanced down at her daughter and signed the man’s question for her daughter. She always wanted to make sure Cammi was as included in conversations as possible, especially since she was still getting used to her deafness. Once she did, the girl signed her name. “Her name is Cammi,” Kelly replied.
“How far along are you? If you don’t mind my asking.” Kieran smiled. He knelt down to the young child, “Hi! I’m K-I-E-R-A-N!” He tried to sign his name to her, slowly. Looking back up to her mother, “I’m Kieran, and I can pretty much only sign spell my name. Nice to meet you!”
