I just do not understand the thinking behind the argument that aborting a baby and ending its life is the merciful thing to do if the child may face some struggles in life such as poverty, disability, etc. Some of the world’s greatest people had difficult childhoods. Killing a baby because it might have a hard life is not merciful and it’s not an excuse for abortion. People deserve to live, even if you think their life won’t be worth it.

Dear Pro-Life Community,

I’m writing this after seeing the responses to an anonymous ask I got, where the anon claimed to have had two abortions and was preparing to have a third. My response was that I hoped she would reconsider and that there was still help and support for her.

The other replies and messages had a very different tone. Some called her sick, others said she should go to hell. Still others were quick to call her a liar or a troll. This response saddened me, because I truly thought the modern pro-life movement was beyond that.

Whether a woman is considering abortion during her first pregnancy or has had 3, 5, 10, or any number of abortions, she is still valuable. She still needs support and love. She needs compassion, not anger. Yes, it’s sad to hear about those children who lost their lives, but anger won’t bring them back. However, love and compassion can help us reach someone who is very, very lost.

As I said above, some immediately called this woman a liar or a troll. While that’s possible, it really doesn’t matter. Whether or not the person who actually sent the ask to my inbox was post abortive and pregnant, the fact remains that by answering the way I did, I am modeling how pro-lifers should respond to post-abortive and abortion-minded people. A pro-life person who sees my response could use similar language when talking to a post-abortive person in real life. An actual post-abortive or abortion-minded person could see that there truly are pro-lifers who care about them.

What do they see if we respond with disgust and condemnation? Does that make them eager to seek help? Or does it confirm the stereotypes about pro-lifers and drive them further into the pro-choice side?

Remember that when you speak about abortion, you represent the pro-life movement. You’re never just speaking to other pro-lifers, because you never know when your audience includes someone who is post-abortive or who had a crisis pregnancy. Always speak with compassion. Always take the high road. Always set a good example for other pro-lifers and always be a good ambassador of the pro-life movement.

We are losing thousands of children a day to abortion. We don’t have time for hate.

I look forward to the day we look back on abortion from such a distance we can barely comprehend it. I want to see abortion the way we see slavery, as the appalling violation of human rights that it is.

I hope one day we can ask “how could women voluntarily kill their own children?” with same shock and horror we ask “how were people morally okay with owning and abusing other people?”.

We’re not there yet, and I don’t know when we will be, but I hope we’ll get there in our lifetime.

■ World War II is a sensitive subject in Poland, for good reason. They’ve gotten a bad reputation as somehow being involved or responsible for the concentration camps. The truth:

■ Over 50,000+ Polish people gave their lives to save the lives of over 450,000+ Jewish people. More than any other country. Poland is also the highest number of people honored by the Riteous Among Nations. Out of the 11 million killed in concentration camps, 6 million were Polish. The reason Poland was even chosen in the first place for the concentration camps was because Poland was the most religiously tolerant in Europe, and thus had the highest number of Jewish people. The concentration camps were German/Nazi. There was not a ‘Polish Concentration Camp’.

■ Propaganda in the aftermath of the war created the myth. Poland was the only country the Germans enforced the death penalty for aiding a Jew. Not just death for them, but their entire family. Yet still thousands of Polish helped.

Rose Tico Out of context it sounds wise. Witin the context, it's plain idiotic and makes no sense at all. SPOILERS AHEAD!!! How does she expect to win the war, then? Why is it okay when Admiral H sacrifices herself, but Finn doing it in an exact same manner is bad? And most importantly, what the heck does Rose think her sister Paige died for, what she was doing in her last moments? She was killing people and sacrificing herself. That's what she was doing. What were Luke, Han, Finn and Poe doing when they were shooting at stormtroopers? Killing them - because, sadly, this is what war is about - killing as many soldiers of an enemy army as you can. And as great as that would be, there's never a war that takes only from one side. And yes, there are moments and goals worth dying for. I'm not angry about Rose saving Finn. I'm angry because she spouted that nonsense right after it. And because this little sentence utterly butchered her entire character. This is the girl that joind the Resistance with her sister; Paige did everything she could to contribute to the war effort and yes, that involved killing people. Rose wants to continue her sister's legacy, to honour her sacrifice - heck, her introductory scene had her explain that she had already stopped soldiers from defecting and how she admired Finn and other well-known rebels; and was ready to zap Finn just to keep him in line (what if he was just trying to defect to spread love and respect and protest against the Resistance for resisting the FO and actually causing more deaths, huh?) . What next, is Rose going to demand they only defend themselves and never attack? How did the creators even come up such a stupid and unbelievable idea in the first place? Honestly, out of the whole film, this one stupid sentence irritated me the most. How can you put such a naive and impossible message that has Star WARS in the title?

You may say what you want about current Polish government, but you can’t deny that our PM Beata Szydło can be absolutely great.

It’s moments like these that make me proud I’m a Pole.

And then I saw positive reactions on Twitter and I started wondering... I agree that it was a good speech, a great one even, but... what Szydło said wasn’t anything new - it was the truth, nothing more and nothing less than that.

And only once I heard about Katie Hopkins did I realize something horrible.

Freedom of speech no longer exist in countries such as Great Britain, France or Germany. I heard about it several times already, but today it really came home just how ridiculous and dangerous it is becoming.

Yes, Hopkins’ tweet was quite stupid and it’s clear she didn’t think it through; but excluding the “final solution” words, what she said was, once again, the truth and nothing more or less than that. I’m sorry, as much as “supporting” people affected by terrorist attacks is heartwarming, writing “Love” on a big sheet of paper isn’t going to change anything. You having a bee tattoo won’t change anything. I can go and make myself some British tea to honour the memory of those who perished, and then eat some Polish food in memory of my deceased compatriots, but it still won’t change anything. It won’t stop the terrorists. It’s the biggest middle finger you could show all those people who died and suffered - and to all those who may die and suffer in the future because of lack of action.

That’s when it hit me - our Prime Minister’s speech got such positive feedback not just because she was correct; but because she wasn’t afraid to say how it is in times when telling the truth is forbidden. “Democracy” my ass.

Am I glad to live in Poland, one of the few European countries (along with Hungary) whose government speaks against this madness of political correctness and denying the facts.
