people also latch on to the most drastically over the top piece of music these bands would produce and only know them for that one piece of music - for example theyll know linkin park for ‘crawling in my skin’ for example and ignore the other four albums that arent that, like the one album which drew inspiration from soliloquy about the atom bomb and MLK speeches with songs like ‘waiting for the end’ or ‘battle symphony’ which are hopeful and upbeat
I know you’re defending Linkin Park, but slow your roll. You’re correct that Linkin Park made a concept album around social justice in a post-nuclear world, it was called A Thousand Suns, and did contain the song “waiting for the end”. They used sound bites from J. Robert Oppenheimer, speaking about the visceral reactions people had to the first A bomb test (The Radience), Mario Savio’s speech at Berkeley (Wretches and Kings), and MLK’s speech at Riverside Church, aka A Time to Break Silence (Wisdom, Justice, and Love). This album had a major impact on my world views in my mid twenties. It also had “Iridescent”, the theme song for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which is pretty much all anyone remembers the album for. But it also had “The Catalyst”, the music video for which had some seriously incendiary and revolutionary imagery.
“Battle Symphony” is from Linkin Park’s final album One More Light. The album is all about midlife regrets for stupid things done in youth, and also about mourning the loss of loved ones to suicide.
So yeah, Linkin Park is a damn good band with a hell of a lot to say that most people never heard because they only listened to the bangers on the radio.
Im physically crying
Keanu Reeves appreciation post ♥️
I love this man. He’s a wonderful example of a decent, moral wealthy person.
…….WHY DOES HE DO THIS!? MY GOD THIS MAN IS JUST FUCKING PERFECT!
I remember in one interview he said he had more money than he could ever spend in a single lifetime, so he just gives the money away. Outside of random strangers, he also gives most of it to various charities, and only grants himself a small stipend to live on, pay rent, buy food, etc.
Socialist king
This is a prime example of how rich people can literally change peoples lives with their pocket change if they cared, the notre damne shit just put it forward
@artists and people who post original content on tumblr
There’s an account on instagram @foxhole.king that reposts art and textposts from this fandom, they have almost 400 followers and when I confronted them about it they said that it was fine for them to repost it until the artist/posted asked for them to take it down! They just deleted a post because I argued with them, but there are dozens more on there
If yall see your stuff on there and want it taken down, I encourage you to go and check, leave a comment, make sure they know it’s not okay to steal things. They don’t have a tumblr and they take the things from pinterest, so they just don’t bother asking for credit.
Watch out for yourselves!
The original tweet is in response to a tweet about Ellen Maud who sought out medical help and was routinely told to just lose weight. She later died of cancer.
This is something I cannot advocate for enough

FLKSLDKDSLSFDJ
I believe you have this inverted. It’s the Gen-Z, Millennials and general snowflakes who NEED “Safe Spaces” and places to cower and cry and scream like a 3 year old brat who didn’t get what he most wanted for Christmas. Some colleges have even reported having to use large rooms filled with baby cribs to placate the overly-sensitive college-age students and let them relax until they feel safe enough to leave. Some of these kids stay all day there instead of going to classes. This is fucking batshit insane!
Okay boomer
