HP Fanfic culture shock (i guess)

There is a surpising amount of Dumbluldore-bashing hp fanfic on AO3, which I hadn't really noticed back when I was mostly reading Chinese fanfic.

Perhaps Dumbledore fits the image of a "normal" Asian elder so well that I thought he is though not perfect but quite common, while Western culture looks at the same figure and says, hell no.
