I love that even after using it to pick up the crypt key under the grate, Nancy still keeps the taffy on a stick. Gotta hold on to that dirty candy. Might need a snack later.

Tino: I'm here to offer my services. Nancy: I'd rather shower with a bear. Tino: It never stops being hurtful.

Because I’m starting CUR, I decided to research a little…these show what the Great Hall pictures look like in CUR, and what the real paintings look like.
In order from the top, the paintings are: Tomas de Iriarte by Joaquin Inza, Madam Freret-Dericour by Joseph Siffrein Duplessis, Lady Agnew of Locknaw by John Singer Sargent, Jean Daret self portrait, John Locke by Sir Godfrey Kneller, Pierre Quthe by Francois Clouet, Frances Sherborne Ridley Watts by John Singer Sargent, Karl Nesselrode by Franz Kruger, Prince Nikolai Saltykov by Franz Kruger, Count Alexander Alexeevich Bobrinsky by Franz Fruger, Douglas Vichers by John Singer Sargent, and Lord Dalhousie by John Singer Sargent
was fed up with my current project and decided to go hunting for the last Penvellyns - and I found Charles and Elinor!
Charles is Sir Brian Tuke by Hans Holbein the Younger, 1527/28 or 1532/34
Elinor is Portrait of Dara Nikolaevna Chvostova by Orest Kiprensky, 1814
Today was hard. I’m finding peace but it’s hard.
Earlier I talked with myself in the garage. I reminded myself that Star is safe. She is with Dobbie and she met Jesus. When I came in Bette was jumping and excited to see me. I accidentally said thank you Star but then I looked and accepted Bette’s love. I followed her to the couch and she was wagging her tail and when I sat down she sniffed my ear for a second… just like Star used to.
I think Star or God had Bette do that to let me know I was right about what I said. Star is safe and waiting for me.
I have a hard time believing it just because people say dogs don’t have souls only people but mom even said look at her and tell me she doesn’t have a soul. I am choosing to have faith now. Star is in heaven and will be there waiting for me with Cole and Misty and Coco and Tag and Smokey and all of the other pets we have had. Everyone of them. All of them. Maybe even Oscar. Definitely Oscar. Eventually Bette and Frankie and Blue and Kevin and James and Lyla.
Even so this is one of the hardest things I’ve felt. Just like with Dobbie and Poppie. Grief is hard but I have to remind myself of all the good and forget all the bad because loving an animal is worth it.

Hi all!!! Due to the recent flurry of emails from HeR that blantantly ignore their fans concerns, we would like to compile our own email to HeR from the fans.
This is still in the planning stages but thanks to my friend the wonderful Alyssa aka @ladylindaaa we have a google form to start us out- here’s the link!

We all really care about these games and while some of us may have enjoyed some of MID, the way they are promoting this game and ignoring any criticisms is rather childish and rediculous.
I’m not sure how much this will do, but I feel that we should at least try- at this point we really don’t have anything to lose.
Thanks all, stay beautiful👌
Hi, clue crew! Due to the recent marketing emails being sent out from HeR, I think it might be time to send them an email. This is obviously
I was gonna make a joke about how everyone keeps referencing the “family business” but that we still haven’t been told what the business even does. But then I saw this in Nancy’s notes
did I miss something? Or do we never get this information conveyed to us in a conversation at all during this game
I was also always confused about this because the one workshop/garage room has a cotton gin in it and other farm stuff and it’s implied that the estate was a plantation, but then they hit you with all those people dying in the factory— which was built on the island— because of poor ventilation (soonish iirc) after the Civil War. So then it makes it seem like it was never a plantation because there’s no reason why it wouldn’t have remained one, especially since they were only hiring people who “couldn’t afford to quit”. Also I don’t think they ever say what the factory was manufacturing. Regardless, I feel like HeR not directly explaining to us what the Thornton business is/was is part of them dancing around whether or not they had slaves.
It’s for sure Cotton. NC, SC, Georgia were hot beds for textile and cotton mills, and tufting rugs started in Georgia, so the mills turned into rug mills. In tufting rugs and rug mills (as well as ANY textile) you HAVE to have ventilation but back in the day that wasn’t always a thing like it is today.
“Black lung” or lung cancer was caused by cotton mills, the microscopic fibers would get in your lungs and tear you apart.
It most likely was the Thornton’s had a cotton plantation or mill back in the civil war and it grew into Cotton or more likely rug factories. It’s still true to this day Dalton, Chatham, and Sugar Valley have the largest Tufting mills except for over seas.
My family has been in textiles for years. And if you go anywhere in the US for rugs you go to Georgia.
“what did u do all day?”
“the empty one”
does this suggest that there is an actual human currently occupying the other bunk as we speak

The older your father got, Joy, the more he realized that life is nothing but memories. He realized that even bad memories have a place in a good life.
Well, at least quarantine gives me time to make new ND memes!
*Also, wtf is up with that girl’s hand on Nancy’s arm?? Is it just me, or is something...off, there?
I just went from playing ghost of thornton hall game #28 to message in a haunted mansion game #3 and I think I have some whiplash
