this is the only place that feels appropriate but as a non dan and phil-er...well see, y'all say phan so there's that - but as someone who was mostly tuned in peripherally and maybe saw 20 vids total from beginning to now, their couple announcement is cute. i keep smiling over it.
i can't stop thinking how glad i am that they had each other to lean on for a decade plus but i also can't help but wonder how very lonely it could have possibly been in that world alone together with eyes on you, the paranoia, literally growing up and developing as a person, learning love and acceptance but those extra layers and weight of EVERYTHING. like 2 isn't alone, even with whatever support is around but it can still be lonely when you're the only two going through it, especially as young people from when they first started.
it is really a painstaking task to stay closeted. tumblr being the rainbow connection ass platform that it is, i am sure many understand. i remember how cut off from people i felt when i couldn't express my full feelings or feel like myself.
i'm glad they've freed themselves in that regard and like with any public figures, i hope people would be safe and chill about them and not scary or extra creepy or something.
one thing I can't stop thinking about is if they'll find themselves actually enjoying going out eventually because maybe they aren't the percentage of "we like staying inside" that they initially thought.
anyway, this wouldn't have made any sense in my journal.
