Australia help!?
I’m a 20 y/o Brit residing in London considering moving to Australia... (For a year or so anyway) I’m gonna throw out some ideas, things I’ll do and then a few questions I have and if anyone could throw any answers/opinions my way would be great, many thank:
So I’m a pool lifeguard, doing online a-levels (Bio+Chem) & working my way up scuba ladder. I want a new country & new start, travel is great and I’ve got a potential opening in a pool near Brisbane. I’m also super interested in volunteering in marine/coral wildlife protection projects and/or science/lab/bio stuff like that.
So naturally with London I don’t drive, what’s public transport like out there will it be a issue?
Is Brisbane the right place to go for working/volunteering with marine conservation, or is there any other locations that have a lot of focus towards that and the science behind it?
Are the spiders really the size of dinner plates/if I poke them with a stick will they leave?
Is Australia as mad expensive as London is/will I still cry over credit card and overdraft bills just to getting by?
Also would like to move over to Indonesia/Philippines/Thailand in later years to work more on conservation and that once I’ve finished my studies and gotten past dive master, is this an easy connection to make from Australia?
