Izzet Storm Enabling Package - $16.39
request by @mrsnufflegums
The Izzet Guild is known for three things; casting flashy spells, making cool contraptions, and having those contraptions blow up in their face. Mrsnufflegums wants us to find ways to cast as many spells as possible in a turn. Short of Omniscience, we have a few options.
Goblin Electromancer - $0.15 A nice, cheap cost reducer for our spells.
Baral, Chief of Compliance - $4.66 Another cheap cost reducer. Baral has the added benefit of card rummaging when you counter a spell.
Eye of the Storm - $1.27 Never settle for one measly spell again. Now you can play your spell and every single spell cast before that.
Paradox Engine - $7.51 Get a few mana rocks on board, cast a few spells, and never run out of mana. Combo it with Arjun and have at it.
Possibility Storm - $0.42 Now you can have two Storm triggers for the price of one! Not to mention the chance that the board wipe someone is counting on or the removal of your key pieces now may be nullified.
Jace’s Sanctum - $0.66 More mana couponing! You can now help get those spells on top of your library too. Goes great with Possbility Storm.
Seal of the Guildpact - $0.69 Holy mana saving abilities, Batman! mono-color spells cost one generic less and multi-colors cost two generic less. I mean, this is a spellslinging deck that needs cost reducers AND IT’S SHINING RIGHT ON THE IZZET SYMBOL!
Primal Amulet/Primal Wellspring - $2.03 This one is so new, it’s hard to say if it’ll go up in price or drop. Nevertheless, this card will be invaluable in spellslinger decks. Starts as a cost reducer, finishes as a spell copying land. The best of both worlds for Spellslingers.
There you have it, folks. Just a few ways to help get that Storm count up before your drop a Grapeshot. Regardless of your commander, you should easily be able to get this up and going. Keep the storm raging and…
Victory shall be yours.
