Her grandmothers screams in that courthouse… My God…. Chills. It even shook the officer and he lost it… you knew she was telling the truth. How he sleeps at night… I don’t know.
There have been many conversations about how countries who are rich in natural resources are now stricken with political instability and poverty due to colonialism. Look at Democratic Republic of Congo. It is the 2nd largest country in Africa with fertile land, tonnes of natural resources and a diverse population.
But, for the past 30 years, the country is going through a genocide and illegal extraction of their resources. Rebel groups, such as AFC and M23 (backed by Rwanda), are inflicting extreme famine and violence against the Congolese people! ! !
There has been attempts to hold Rwanda or at least the rebel groups accountable. A peace agreement has been signed between DRC and Rwanda in June 27th, 2025. But it doesn't last. The ceasefire has been violated in 2 weeks! Then 'US' signs the peace deal with DRC and Rwanda on December 5th, 2025. Now there is African Union, led by Togo, to mediate the peace process on January 17th to 18th, 2026. Nothing has been confirmed as yet. So we have to do our part! Boycott tech companies, donate to fundraisers and grassroots organizations, and protest in the streets!
Please consider helping out a student from DR Congo! His name is Barnabé and he has kidney failure! He is in dire need for a transplant! €3,712 out of €4,000 has been raised. There is €288 left to go! I have given €10, but you're more than welcome to contribute any amount!
His fundraiser is legitimate! It has been set up by Agissons Ensemble, a grassroots organization in Goma, DR Congo. They provide aid and support to displaced families on the ground. Check out their link.tree!

another thing about the black christian stuff is the “only depicting jesus as white even within our communities” makes perfect sense bc majority black americans unfortunately believe only a good white man can save them, they belief in white jesus today and back during chattel slavery was just essentially begging to be seen as a worthy enough black to be freed and spared from torture, rape, family separation, experimentation, the list goes on “if we just pray enough and believe enough with our whole hearts jesus will extend his hand to us” and that goes right into respectability politics, “if we are proper enough and sanitized from blackness and get these degrees and talk a certain way and denounce bad blacks then the white man will see us as an exception and let us into prosperity” its the same exact thing, jesus is supposed to be the good white man that can be reasoned with, who will listen and give u rights and love if you obey enough
majority of black american christians either can’t or purposefully wont depict god as anything but white bc it scary to realize if you want better for urself / ur people u personally have to fight for it, it will not be handed over to u by the white man, no matter how much you tap dance and talk “right” or how much money you make, there is no level of “goodness” that erases blackness but to admit that is to admit u have been waiting and being obedient and performing for nothing, no one wants to hear that they wasted their time or life or essentially castrated themselves in hopes to be “let into heaven” (white society) its very very useful that jesus stays white in black communities bc exceptionalism leading to freedom is easier to stomach than “the oppressor will never respect you and there is nothing you can do to get away from blackness”
So much of life is just the battle between you and the things you’ll do to avoid experiencing pain. I think about this a lot I think this is truly it half the time like you can break most things down to this I think this is [dj khaled voice] the key
Poverty sucks bc what do you mean Lola just got 400 bucks but bc of hotel feels and no apartment half of it's gonna be gone. And she has to pay for her English proficiency test ($200 USD) AND find an apartment. But she can't do all this with the same 400 dollars, especially not since we don't know when an apartment is going to become available or even where.
Thank you to all the people who've donated so far. You're doing the real work of making sure this woman lives to see another day. She still needs help though, and she still has the goal of getting to Germany for safety and so she can finally actually thrive.

I hope I'm not asking too much by asking for help to get her a new laptop so that she can get a new job online. A new laptop would run her about 300-500 dollars in Nigeria, depending on the brand. Is there a way we can get allies to finance this quickly so that she can get back to work and make money for herself?
Lola also needs $360 to pay off late hotel fees and afford the next two or three days!! Are there any allies who can help a trans woman stay off the streets?
I am so very serious when I say that minors should have a legal and easily reinforceable right to say "I don't want to live with my parents (or other adult caretakers)/I don't want to be around that person/I don't want to go to that place" and actually get their wish accommodated. So much childhood trauma could be avoided or ended if children actually had the right to leave the situation or the person hurting them.

It is with a broken heart that we have to share the worst news imaginable with the NGU community. This weekend, the IOF bombed the neighborhood of Yahya Al-Habil and his family. Little Omar, Yahya’s 7-year-old brother who we have mentioned often, was martyred.
Both of Yahya’s brothers Khalil and Mohammed were being treated in different departments for the severe injuries they sustained from this attack, and did not get the chance to say goodbye to Omar. Their wounds were devastating, and both remain in very poor condition.
They now require ongoing, very expensive medical care, the sum of which for both their treatments is $10,000 usd. Donations have become stagnant and their situation is extremely desperate. Please help them survive and try to rebuild their lives.
Current: $6,538 of $15,480 usd—updated 31 Dec.
Need to raise: $8,942 usd
Hello, my name is Khalil, I'm 19 years old, from Gaza.
Previous updates are available here; vetting information in the last reblog; Khalil encourages anyone with questions to contact him on WhatsApp at +972 56-795-7368 for more information
Shrapnel damage from the bombardment that killed his baby brother caused injuries to Khalil’s liver and kidneys. These injuries have further deteriorated due to an inability to afford complete medical care. Both his kidneys and liver are now struggling. The untreated damage has progressed to the point that they are losing their ability to function.
🚨🚨These organs perform vital functions in the body. The body cannot function without them. If Khalil does not receive emergency intervention soon, he will die.🚨🚨
Kaia Ruby Tutwiler has been missing from Tahlequah since Jan. 2. She is only 16 years old, I encourage you to share the Instagram post that was made by the official Cherokee Nation page & spread the word around
as much as we must mourn and stand in solidarity with Renee Nicole Good, please do not forget the other victims of ice raids, who are not white.
Silverio Villegas González, a cook from mexico who was dropping his son off at daycare and was murdered
Jaime Alanis, a farmer from mexico who fell off a green house at the farm where he worked to send money to his wife and daughter
Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdez, a father and grandfather from Guatemala who was hit by a car
Josué Castro Rivera, a garden from Honduras who was struck by a car
And so many others who were killed or are dying in detention centres, prisons ect
racial bias is always something we must be aware of, Renee will be focused on because she was a white woman and a US citizen, but do not forget all the other victims of ICE, may they all rest in power
Serawit Gezahegn Dejene, from Ethiopia, who was kept in the Eloy concentration camp for 6 months despite being diagnosed with cancer
Marie Ange Blaise, from Haiti, who begged to see a doctor for her chest pains and was refused by ICE in Florida
Johnny Noviello, from Canada, Lorenzo Antonio Batrez Vargas, from Mexico, and Jean Wilson Brutus, from Haiti, whose families still have no answers about how they died in ICE custody
Shiraz Fatehali Sachwani, from Pakistan, who they kept detained for 5 months at a Texas concentration camp despite a history of liver and kidney issues
Fouad Saeed Abdulkadir, an imam from Eritrea, who was held in a concentration camp in Pennsylvania for a year and a half for the charge of applying incorrectly to a welfare program
24 other community members and loved ones died in ICE custody just in 2025
