Brushbuddy embroidery, stitched with 1 strand of white floss on white canvas
Happy Brushbug Monday (new witch hat atelier episode) to all who observe it. You are observing the brushbug, correct?
I’m so happy to welcome Omelette to our family! He loves to nom on flowers and play in the ferns and generally get himself as messy as possible. Molly wasn’t too sure what to make of Omelette at first, but he now tolerates Omelette’s presence, especially if they are just soaking up the spring unshine.
I knew as soon as I saw this yarn (Lion Brand Landscapes Renewed Yarn Sherbet) it would be perfect for Omelette’s rosy maple moth colours. He’s entirely made without a plan or pattern. My first attempt was… disturbing… (think chest-burster) but I’m pretty happy with how he turned out! When starting to brush out his tail and ‘mane’ I was disappointed to discover that the yarn base is a mesh tube instead of strands, but the resulting texture seems very accurate to the description of Omelette’s pupating state 😂
I’m not sure if I’m happy with his antennae/external gills, so I may change them at some point. But for now, he is perfect!
Blocked the SilverNeedleTea shawl and I’m pleasantly surprised at how generally even the large holes turned out (they had me worried whilst crocheting). After it was dry I decided that it needed an extra element to really ‘pop’ the design, so I added some bead dangles (tigers eye stone & yellow crystal) on every edge point.

Was reading Rumpelstiltskin to my daughter and
Hey buddy your yarn seems to be... Turning into your drive band?
I did a reverse image search to see if I could find the art online instead of having to rely on my phone camera and alas. But I did find more spinning crimes. Now English isn't my first language so some of the terms might be off so forgive me.
No way you're hitting that treadle, buddy. I guess this is a cooperative effort. I do like the shiny spools.
Angle of the thread seems a bit off (it's going straight onto the spool instead of through an orifice?), but other than that this one looks pretty good. We've got a treadle, drive band, flyer, even a distaff.
Surely turning straw into gold couldn't have been some kind of metaphor. Rumple's got straight currency for you. Straight off the drive band. Even though he's also holding a thread.
This jolly boy's got an interesting long draw technique going on. Also can't reach the treadle. The artist got all the spinning wheel parts but didn't quite manage to put them together.
Hey, a walking wheel! But it's missing a spindle, instead putting the yarn straight onto the whorl.
Yeah I've got nothing
My cat Sna took the blanket photoshoot very seriously
Nothing makes my believe in being the youngest millenial (rather than the oldest gen z) stronger than interacting with gen z interns at work
And I'm not even talking about memes or whatever
Like what do you mean you're a 15-year-old in high school and have never used Word before? What do you mean you're a 22-year-old college student and have no idea how to use a printer or what an Excel sheet looks like?
Why is no one teaching these kids how to use a computer anymore??
hi knitters. My nana has arthritis (i believe osteo- specifically) and has not been able to knit for a while due to the pain, and for her birthday, I am thinking of putting together a box of tools and other products that would hopefully make the process less painful for her.
If you knit and have arthritis or similar conditions, would you mind suggesting products that have helped you? No budget on the kit overall, but I'd prefer that no individual purchase surpass, like, £100. thank you ❤️
Oops! You accidentally forgot about your tea for too long 🐥🌸
My beautiful embroidery displayed on my beautiful son
Oh great heavens i just realized how horribly tumblr compressed this image. Click for one willam times better quality
Best thing about watching my grandparents cat is that while I'm there I can rifle through the great Quilt Stash and bring out beautiful works of art to sleep under.
