Trainertale Lesser Monster (Pokémon) Design Competition

This is likely the last competition we’ll have before the release of Episode 2! This one is a bit more unique and I needed some time to really think about how this was going to work.
Basically, in the future; Trainertale is going to be the second AU that you visit through the Echo portion of the game (with the first obviously being Underswap.) Trainertale is owned by @friisans (sorry this competition took so long to get set-up!)
It will play almost exactly as any Pokémon game would while you’re in that Echo. The battle system will be similar and so will the gameplay mechanics.
Here’s the problem: we can’t use any trademarked images or creations from Pokémon. Aye, it’s unfortunate - but Nintendo has been shutting down anything that’s considered a “fangame,” due to their ridiculous policies. They even shut down some dude’s Pokémon-themed party once.
So! I’ve devised a plan! Our will be called “Lesser Monsters.” That’s where you, the community, comes in. Lesser Monsters are basically the Underground’s version of what Pokémon are (even if the game doesn’t take place in the Underground.)
So, here are the details:
You will create and design your own “Lesser Monster,” for use in our fangame. Upon submission, you permanently allow us to use (but not give ourselves credit for) your creation in our fangame: UNDERFELL. You must abide by these guidelines, or it’s likely your creation won’t be considered:
1. It must not be similar to anything trademarked by Nintendo in any form.
2. It must not have any trademarked images, names or designs from Pokémon in any form.
3. You must mention @underfellfangame in your post or I will not be able to see the submission!
Additionally, here’s what’s required from your Lesser Monster to consider it a valid entry:
1. A design for your Lesser Monster! Either a sketch or full-blown drawing, it doesn’t have to be amazing! We won’t be using your art in-game, it will be redrawn by our artist. Your design must be completely unique & original (we will be checking!) and fit in the world of UNDERTALE (as if UNDERTALE had their own version of Pokémon.)
2. A name! You must give your Lesser Monster a name, of course!
3. Its type! Fire, ice, whatever, what have you!
4. (Optional) An evolved form!
5. And lastly, a shiny recolor!
There is no definite limit to how many submissions we will accept. You can design and submit as many Lesser Monsters as you’d like. It simply is determined by our own limits and how many Lesser Monsters we think will be appropriate to use in the Echo (which is planned to be only around 30 minutes to an hour, maybe more.) This does NOT mean your Lesser Monster design will absolutely make it in, however. We can’t use everyone’s. I will be picking winners as submissions come in as opposed to picking them all at once on a given date.
Contest Deadline: 12/24/2018
Upon being chosen, you will get:
1. Your Tumblr name in the “Special Thanks,” credits.
2. Usage of your Lesser Monster design in UNDERFELL!
3. “Contest Winner,” role on our Discord server.
