“Thanks?” Elsa asked, raising an eyebrow at him as she looked around the bar for a second to see if the group she had come along with had noticed her departure. “Dealing edging to forgetting,” she replied as she picked up the glass placed before her. “I’m here with people and I know I am going to need at least two drinks before I can deal with them without rolling my eyes, snapping at them, or walking out.”
Knox chuckled at the odd look she gave him, shaking his head. “Nah, that wasn’t intended to be weird. That’s just the drink that’s giving me motivation to survive my first shift.” He explained, lifting his water from beneath the bar to take a sip. He placed it down as he nodded at her statement, offering her a half smile. “Understandable. I might recommend aiming for three before heading back, however. That might make it seem like you actually enjoy their presence.” After he rolled his shoulders, he slid his hands in his pockets and leaned against counter of the back of the bar so as to face her. “Did I catch your name yet?”
