🕷️🕸️SPECIAL CDF ANNOUNCEMENT🕸️🕷️
Soooo I’m going to meet Darren Shan himself at one of his signings in November (SO EXCITED 🤩) and, as I know it’s hard for overseas fans to get to see him (or even UK fans as trains are so damn expensive here), with the help of our amazing @mikaverleth I’d love to put together a book of messages and fanart to give to Mr Shan from all of us!
We’ll keep it simple: imagine you’re going to see Darren yourself, and send in what you’d like to say to him (or give to him, in the case of fan art). We think it would make things extra heartfelt if you could hand-write your message, take a photo of it and send it to us! Any fanart can of course be submitted as a digital copy, or if you’re a traditional artist, a good photo or scan of your work.
Obviously what you’d like to say to Darren is personal to you, but as I want to be able to hand this over to him without worrying I’ll get put on a list somewhere, there are some submission rules:
No NSFW content please. Anything too explicit or offensive (as in racist/sexist/homophobic etc) will be taken out of the book.
Please don’t include your full name or address with your submission. You can give a single name (this can be your real first name, a nickname or just whatever name you choose) but don’t include surnames. In terms of addresses, don’t be afraid to say where you’re from but for the sake of your own privacy, please keep it vague. (For example: Love from Steve, Ireland; or Debbie, Florida, USA.)
Please do not include plagiarised or AI-generated material in your submission.
The deadline for submissions will be midnight (GMT) on Monday 6th October, to allow me time to assemble and order the photo book before I meet him in November. I’ll be posting updates on this process so you’ll all know when it arrives - and of course, when it’s been given to Darren!
