               teeth  flash,  lips  pulling  back  in  the  façade  of  a  grin  that  doesn’t  reach  her  eyes.   not  at  first.    “   oh  brother,  i  see  nothing  to  justify.   but  if  i  do  come  face  to  face  with  some  entity  claiming  to  be  the  reason  for  my  existence,  i’ll  be  sure  to  give  them  your  regards.   ”   if  such  a  person  even  existed  in  the  first  place,  a  fact  she  was  very  much  in  doubt  of.  

               “   unless  you’re  speaking  of  our  mother,  in  which  case  she  hopefully  won’t  be  around  long  enough  for  proper  conversation.   ”   seeing  as  how  she  was  technically  the  reason  for  their  existence,  and  at  the  very  least  the  reason  for  how  they’ve  existed  for  centuries  now.   that  didn’t  mean  a  conversation  with  her  was  something  she  wanted,  however.

               weird   way   to   imply   that   you   have   met   as   least   one   god.   but   it   really   had   not   been   that   much   of   a   big   deal.   people   meet   their   gods   whenever   they   die.   what   makes   you   special   for   it.   you   cannot   even   remember   it.
