Grandmaster of the Tengu Clan of Arctika; a clan once at odds with the Lin Kuei and now holds a rocky truce with them under the will of Lord Liu Kang.
Their people possess fire magic naturally (it’s the most common in the au) and have always been in Arctika— unlike the Lin Kuei who’s ancestors come from another realm (really old merger between some other realm and Earthrealm, forgotten about mostly.) They typically fight over land with the Lin Kuei which is why the truce is in place. It’s a new arrangement that Lae himself made with Bi-Han. Most elders don’t care for it which is why when the Cyber Lin Kuei Initiative came into play the Tengu were swift to break the alliance and side with the red dragon for both arms and protection.
Hashtag cursed bloodline moment errrm, he and his father- and his father’s father and those before that have been plagued with a bird demon form because why not. I don’t have any actual notes on this other than it’s kinda just an excuse to play around with a monster form or whatever. Changed his scythe to a guandao esc thing erm bcs I didn’t want to draw a scythe.
His old redesign from forever ago (I got rid of the weird ginger hair— kinda - his hair is actually still an orange color just not as ugly. It’s rlly the same just touched up a bit ngl.
I am a very poor writer so I get insanely nervous explaining my ideas for anything, but I have so many ideas right now and I've seen so many cool "healed Bi-han" or "post Khaos Reigns" ideas that I'm just going to share mine anyway lol
My idea is that the damage of becoming Noob is too much to ever be "healed" and that if he could ever be fully healed it would take many lifetimes. So, Liu Kang helps Bi-han manage the Khaos energy and stabilizes him but for the most part Bi-han is back at square one if he wants to be a "good guy". His Cryomancy that he was so proficient in is forever off the table as the khaos energy within him shatters and destabilizes any sort of ice construct he'd make. So, he has to master and rebuild a strong magical foundation with darkness as his primary element.
He'd be able to use Khaos magic and that would be exponentially stronger than his shadow magic but using it recklessly does corrupt him. Knowing that, he'd wander the realms looking for ways to manage and control his khaos magic and strengthen his shadow magic. Knowing he could kill titans with it, I'd like to think he'd never really choose to completely abandon khaos magic and that he'd always be a wildcard with it. I like the idea that he'd have to control the impulse to use that power recklessly. Every time he uses khaos power is a calculated risk, and everyone just needs to pray he is good at math when he uses khaos to get anything done.
Lastly, it is a bit mean of me, but I also like to keep him looking more like Noob and less like Sub-Zero because looking less human would mean that he cannot wander around Earthrealm freely anymore. So, if Earthrealm was in trouble and Liu Kang asked him to help, he'd literally have to work in the shadows- No personal glory. He'd have to help because he wanted to do the right thing and no other reason. Plus, I think wandering the other realms would be good for him. Maybe he'd better understand other characters and be less judgmental of others by the end (maybe... hopefully).

He’s strange, pondering the hunting knife or something… sigh he’s so cute.
Something about sitting in the cold until you can’t feel cold anymore 2 ignore the fact that you’re actively trying to fade into the air or something.
They should probably have a mental health screening b4 you’re allowed to join the Lin Kuei and then regular ones so that you’re allowed to hold power. That being said— they do not have those and that is why Sektor is Bi-Han’s confidant… unfortunately for everyone who is not apart of the family, Sektor is more than a little…. Bizarre…
With an intense case of body dysmorphia and signs of a compulsive disorder Sektor runs his troops like the marines. His body is about 65% metal and circuitry. The closer he gets to 100% the more comfortable he feels in his body. He was not born a cryomancer yet he serves the Lin Kuei with his intellect.
Lowkey kinda like lizard in the sense that he thinks everyone would be 100% happier as a robot.
Cyrax on the other hand brightens the room she’s in. She’s friendly to an extent, believing there’s a time and place for joking around and she’s about one of the few Lin Kuei assassins with a healthy work life balance. She’s of course best friends with Kuai and Tomas, and acquaintances with Hanzo. She misses the ‘cyberization’ of the Lin Kuei narrowly, leaving the clan to join the Shirai Ryu with Kuai and Tomas. By then she gets her suit still, learning how to repair it based off the stolen blueprints and making sure that Sektor can’t spy on them through it.
Frost is an ambitious recruit to the Lin Kuei— a trainee who only joined after desperately begging to be let in. When she was a child the lin Kuei had protected her and she looked up to them. She was never a cryomancer at birth, yet she somehow managed to become one, much to the elder Lin Kuei members m’ surprise. She’s rather self sufficient, doing things that would gain her trust with the grandmaster and Sektor. It helps that Bi-Han unintentionally has a yes man magnet attached at all times. His meetings are literally an echo chamber sometimes. She has ties to the black dragon, often sneaking off base to meet them… why? No one exactly knows and yet she’s never been caught.
Design stuff
The ‘ref’ sheets will always be incredibly lazy I fear they’re just so I have a view of the colors and a vague idea of what the characters should look like if I am to draw them.
Sektor- Couldn’t decide if I wanted to keep him a woman or not and just forgo whatever the hell was the relationship in mk1 but i decided that it’s infinitely more interesting for me if the body he’s in isn’t the one he was born with. Ahhh I am the woker… hehe yeah
Cyrax- I reallly realllly like girl Cyrax and her personality she’s so cute and I’m glad they didn’t give her some weird fab or smth. Love the idea of her just flipping all over the place no real notes I just. Awwwwweas
Frost- She’s got a stupid lesbian cut and frosted tips- something something blue hair and pronouns. Shes all smug and shit like she’s not pumped full of whatever I decide to call the temp V knock off in this universe.

Lin Kuei & Shirai Ryu pt 1

The rivalry between the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu has been disregarded since the start of the timeline. Liu Kang wrote it so they were allied. (Because… duh.. it makes no sense for them to be enemies when you needa be fighting these other mfs.
Noob saibot and wraith(?) scorpion still happen in this timeline but just in different ways.
Biggest change other than the feud being gone is that Kuai Liang is NOT Scorpion. I like many others still dk why tf they did that so it’s not happening.
I am by no means an actual writer this might be ass.
Hanzo is next in line to be the grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu but his temperament and brashness has proven to be a hindrance… and his seemingly intimate relationship with the second heir to the Lin Kuei… the elders are not fond of this.
Kuai, still Tundra at the start of the AU, is more or less the same. He is close friends with Tomas and is the one to have found him in Arctika’s forests.
Tomas is notably a little strange. He’s tall, hides behind his hair often and is seemingly more focused on his work or the movies he’s allowed to watch as a reward. Something about him is off even though he tries his hardest to keep up this perfect soldier persona. He still keeps his mother’s hunting knife (even with his main weapon being the karambit), as it’s the last thing he has of her.
Bi-Han is the current grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, after his father’s passing he was pushed into the role rather young being made to grow up faster than the others. He’s stern but well meaning, even if he doesn’t know how to soften his words he is rather family oriented only wanting the best for the Lin Kuei and its allies.. even if that means he has to take a few brutal shortcuts.

I actually didn’t gaf abt the uniforms they’ll definitely change as I draw them. Erm height variation is hard for me for some reason. I need to draw more full bodies.
Colors may also change but I wanted Bi-Han to be more pale than Kuai, Tomas to be flushed and a little grim and for Hanzo to be the most tanned out of the bunch since he’s a fire type and likely sees more sun than the others.
I wanted Tomas to be tall and lanky because ermm… idk let’s make the half demon awkward and stand out.
Bi-han is supposed to be skinner than Kuai and more boxy- less healthy muscle maybe and more of a build that’s like yeah he’s strong and has muscle but he sometimes overlooks having to eat and hardly sits down to do so.
No real notes for Kuai, he’s a cyan rather than dark blue, he got his scar in a training accident.
No definite ages but Bi-Han is the eldest, Hanzo is like a few months older than Kuai, and Tomas is the youngest.
Actual criminals lmfao but the style decreased bad.
I was supposed to properly make Kung Jin but erm, my brain was like you wanna draw the black dragon. So I did. These r the general members (other than the nameless cannon fodder in the background of stuff) they’re probably higher ranking than the guys they have watching other people, running their bs about.
With my au I really wanted to isolate the stories more sort of? Not everyone needs to travel the realms all the time. Some of them have at least once but they don’t have access like that.

As a general overview- these guys are like big time criminals. Think like corrupt Gotham pd when the falcones were running it. They smuggle weapons, kill for hire, drugs. It makes quick money? They did it.

Kira’s here too. Her personality changed a bit, uhm since Kobra kinda mellowed out she’s coo coo. Manic asf but I love her, might put her with scarlet only bc they’re redheads.
Kobra grew up on the streets and ofc got snatched up by the black dragon and their ‘let’s turn kids into thugs for us’ program! He was a quick learner and an eager student. After all it was free food, free clothes— what could he lose as a kid that ran away with just the clothes on his back??

I don’t exactly know where this AU will go. Not going to lie it’s made for my ocs. Like… I’m not changing anything crazy unless I just didn’t like it. (I’m redoing ALL of khaos reigns but I’ll get there.) I’ll make separate posts for the characters later.
