Some design notes… as you can see, I didn’t stick super close to these concepts for the final piece, I ended up changing some things. I also would’ve loved putting some more thought into the outfits (clothes are such an important part of storytelling!) but alas, I was running out of time and kinda just threw something together.

there's something so satisfying in seeing a character make the same mistakes you make or seeing them possess the same faults you possess. the recognition of the self in the other and the confrontation, the self-reflection that comes with it. we're all a little ugly, a little flawed, a little imperfect, and that's the interesting part of life. if we were all perfect then there would be no spice to success and no joy in discovery. it is through acknowledging that there is ugliness that you can find beauty.

Idolish7 Valentines Gift Exchange - SIGNUPS OPEN!

If you didn't see the interest check post I made recently, this is a gift exchange where each person will make one gift and receive one gift in the style of a secret santa. Everyone who wants to join will fill out this form and list their favorite Idolish7 characters and themes, ships, ideas, etc. for fanworks they would like to receive. After that, compatible participants will be matched together and given their assignments!

Assignments will go out around November 21st, and the exchange/sharing date is Valentine's Day 2026 (February 14th), so everyone will have at least 2 1/2 months to work on their gifts.

Signups will close on November 14th, three weeks from now, so please fill it out before then if you'd like to participate!
