i quit my job bc my ex roommates r searching for me

my friend who works w him sent me this like a week ago and i ended up ghosting my job bc of it lmao!! the story goes like this, i was living w this couple bc we had been friends n my mom kicked me out. theres too much to explain in one post but fast forward a few months wherein i figure out theyre crazy, slack and microaggression filled creatures!! the boyfriend propositioned my roommate sam for sex twice bc the girlfriend told him sam would be cool w it bc shes a sex worker which skeeved sam out and she ended up staying elsewhere during our apartment search.

now im staying there n theyre having fights when they get home from work at 2 fucking am. the girlfriend is always coming onto me like ??? which was why i moved out of the apartment i was sharing w them in the dead of night when they werent there. fast forward a week or so and i get that message.

apparently my ex roommate works next door to my new job and goes there on her break asking about me and so i ghosted. luckily i had been doing interviews for other jobs so im waiting on a few calls buuut my paycheck is short.

i’m a 19 year old girl that lives with a narcissistic/emotionally abusive mother and a physically abusive 23 year old brother and have suffered under their abuse for years. i live in a very, very small town in the mountains and have applied for numerous jobs numerous times and have had no luck. i have no source of income and my family prefers to keep it that way so that i can never leave.

i also have a serious, chronic back injury that they are preventing me from getting treatment for, as well as several mental illnesses that they refused to help get me treatment for. they also neglect to take care of my dog out of all of our animals from spite and treat her terribly. my back injury is so bad that some days i can’t even do simple tasks like wash dishes or shower.

i have the chance to move in with my boyfriend but i need money first so that i can take care of myself, my dog, and my personal needs. i have lost so much of my life and all of my teenage years to their abuse. please, please donate if you can and if not, please share this post. even if it doesn’t fit your blog, it would help me tremendously and i need all of the help i can get.

insulin treatment for diabetes is not some new or ‘unproven’ treatment. according to beyondtype1, “Humalog rapid-acting insulin came on to the market with a list price of $21 a vial in 1997.” adjusting for inflation, a vial these days should cost about $34 at most. instead, it costs over $300. there is NO reason for it to be steadily gaining in price to the point that diabetics are unable to afford their lifesaving medication, other than the sheer inhuman greed of pharmaceutical manufacturers.

let me reiterate: life without insulin (for Type 1 diabetics in particular) is a slow and painful death sentence. the ability to treat diabetes is a relatively modern phenomenon that has allowed countless people to live full, healthy lives. we should be expanding full covereage and access to insulin to diabetics the world over, and it should be FREE.
