My classes this semester suck, but at least I have thesis lab ❤️‍🩹 Still no new crystals though. I'm doing another synthesis today, and then - since I have no crystals to put in the spectrometer - maybe... maybe we'll try to finish that previous project that my professor put on hold last year. I don't want to get excited too soon, but you guys are free to cross your fingers for me haha

02-21-2026 Major throwback to my early Bio class. I am finding myself interested in pursuing a career in Bioinformatics after completing my CS masters and working in corporate for a bit. I want to build the basics and change to something I feel more passionate about. I am currently an AI engineer but feel like a career pivot is all I think about.

Monday, 15.12 ~ 12/50 days of productivity

Last week of term, whoop! Some photos from the past week. Good news I’ve finished my essay, bad news I’ve got an exam and then I’m free for Christmas break. Today was probably the busiest day of this week, I had 5 lectures and I forgot to pack lunch because I got back late on Sunday so I had to buy lunch :(. I got my results for my practicals and it went as well as I expected so I’m a bit meh about it but apart from that I’ve just been revising today :)

I received my masters degree in computer science and work as an AI Engineer right now. I desperately want to do more than what I am doing but I am lacking discipline and motivation. I think of all the possible futures I could have: building my own AI cancer research company with a disability software section, working in finding cures or solutions to health problems.

I hope I get back on track and use my grief as a motivation to help others…

The day started with our lab meeting, followed by some reading before I could dive into my behavioral experiments. Wrapped it all up with a bit of statistics to close the loop.

Evening: dinner with my precious friend — four hours of pure conversation and comfort food. Sharing laughter, stories, and a perfect cheesecake topped with caramel and peanuts. 🍰✨
