To truth, in truth

I haven’t honestly reflected on how I’ve been feeling in a while. Its hard to write when you don’t know how you feel or when you’re numbing yourself so you don’t have to face things but its unhealthy and it took me a while to admit that this is where I’ve been standing or how I’ve been feeling. So with this, I hope I can write more again because I only seem to be able to write poetry when I’m most honest with myself. 

I also wanted to say thank you, to all of you who continue reading these pages of my heart. May all of you be well and happy.

My favorite post from 2016 was a Splatoon comic I made, “This Festival Called Life.” The post was kind of long, so please check it out via links:

Despite the squid theme only being applied to the game late in development, Splatoon’s world addresses many things I wish I could. Marine biology, global man-made catastrophe, and intelligent species succession after the human race. I’m looking forward to the English release of the Ikasu Artbook this year.

I wish I can draw the themes that matter to me without the clutch of Nintendo. One day...

10 Good Things From 2016

I was tagged by @tygerware 1) i started a new band— which has become very successful in its early age. 2) i landed a room in a beautiful house in the historic district of my town that i'll be sharing with two of my bandmates and our friend. 3) i got a new job at a juice bar— and several promotions since starting. 4) i let go of a 12 year old friendship that had been toxic for more years than i'd realized. 5) i finally got to be with my significant other like they've deserved for so long. 6) i changed my diet to pescetarian and dairy free. 7) i got laid off from my highest paying of the three jobs i have and found peace in the midst of being uprooted. 8) i reconnected with my grandparents. 9) i began to listen more instead of speak. 10) i fell in love with all over and began to give more of myself to God than i ever have before. All glory to Him for every good thing that He has blessed me with. All goodness and grace come from Him and His beauty. I tag anyone who wants to celebrate the good things that happened to them last year. Much love to you all!
