We were starting a new game and one of the players (an elf) decides to bluff to the other players. Specifically the character playing a dwarf. “I’m a dwarf.” DM: roll bluff. 17 plus ridiculous bluff skill.

Everyone else: no one rolls above a 7. He’s a tall dwarf with pointy ears.

Dwarf: 1 DM: not only are you convinced he is a very tall dwarf with pointy ears, he is actually your long lost cousin.
