Kosta Krum. Oldest child of Viktor Krum. 17 years old. 7th year Ravenclaw. Seeker. Prefect. Living up to expectations and desires that are not his own.
âIt doesnât matter if you barely know her or not, you can still not feel okay about all of this.â Mylo reasoned with a light shrug of his shoulders âIt might seem like it but it helps. It just takes some time and patienceâ It was how he had learned to deal with his own anxieties and if he could offer any help to Kosta, he would.Â
Kosta closed his eyes and tried desperately to focus on his breathing so that he could full calm down. âI hate this...â He muttered as he put a hand to his face.
He wasnât convinced by Kostas words, mainly because he clearly didnât seem fine. Mylo sat down next him, leaning against the wall âItâs okay not to be fineâŚActually the circumstances weâre all in right now justifies it more than everâ The gasp of air had him on alert âTake a deep breath, take all the time you needâ
âI donât... I barely know her.â Why should he have the right to freak out when he barely knew the girl? He put a hand in his hair and tried to focus on breathing. Maybe his parents had been right, maybe going back to school had been a bad idea. âThis is stupid...â He grunted out suddenly.
Kosta turned his eyes to the professor. He wondered if that one was supposed to be humorous. The young man looked up over his book before tutting out the answer in a dry fashion. âA frog in a blender.â Though he supposed there were more answers to that question. More than one creature was green. Or you could say a witch on a broom.
He had no idea how any of this happened. Hogwarts was supposed to be safe for everyone and now that seemed like a distant idea. The news of someone being attacked had rippled throughout the school quicker than anything that heâs ever heard before. Mylo had been checking in on the majority of people heâd been passing in the hall âHi, are you okay?â he asked when he spotted Krum in a corner. âKrum?â
Kosta didnât need people seeing him in this state. They already thought he was losing it because of his brother. But this would just be the frosting on top of the cake. He pressed a hand flat to his chest, trying his best to keep it under wraps at least until he was in private. âFine... Iâm fine.â He gasped for air suddenly.
Cat kept pushing until theyâd made it outside, the cold night air hitting her face. She took a deep breath the cold air filling her lungs. She looked towards Kosta, raising an eyebrow at him. ââRight, you need to calm down, stop.. take deep breaths, if you keep breathing like that youâre going to pass out, breath in through your nose for four and out your mouth for four.ââ Cat said, her arms folding across her chest. ââItâs okay, everythings going to be fine..ââ she lied, but she was trying to calm someone down from the edge, she had to give a little white lie.Â
Kosta wanted to tell her to be quiet, that he knew his coping techniques. But he couldnât find it in him. So he did as she told, breathing in for four seconds and then breathing out for the same amount of time. His panic was slowly ebbing away, and he closed his eyes in a desperate attempt to remind himself that everything was fine.
Letting out an annoyed huff, she bit on her bottom lip. Trying to stop the horrible things she wanted to shout at him from slipping from her mouth; heâd been so cold and cruel when theyâd broken up she couldnât help but hate him. But seeing him like this, so vulnerable and scare all she wanted to do was help him. ââI wasnât fucking offering. I was telling!ââ she hissed right back at him, pushing him towards the door. ââDo what your told, for once!ââ
Kosta could have fought harder with her, telling her something particularly nasty that he knew would get her to leave him alone. He knew exactly how to get to her after all. But instead she was grabbing him once more and pushing him towards the door. He couldnât argue. He was too focused on keeping himself under control. This wasnât about him-- and yet he was making it about himself. He was wheezing now, his hands fists at his side.
Cat couldnât believe her eyes at the scene presented in front of her, what was the world coming to that this was the shit they all had to put up with. This place was supposed to be safe, a place where they could go and not be hurt, but someone had gotten in and put them all in danger. Cat looked around the room, not really sure what she was looking for, when she saw the look of terror on her ex-boyfriends face. Cat bit her lip, unsure of what to do. Yes, she technically hated him, yes, he broke her heart, but heâd been through a lot and this canât be easy for him, itâs not easy for anyone. After a moment, she walked up to him. ââKostaâŚââ she said tentatively, putting her hand on his arm. ââYouâre okay⌠come on, letâs get some air.ââ She said softly, pulling on his arm, attempting to get him to follow her outside.
Cat wasnât the person he wanted to see right now. He wanted his father, his mother-- someone else. Not the person he had hurt several months ago. Not the person he had pushed away in a way that was ensured her utter hatred for him. It was like staring at his mistakes. He found himself snapping his utter panic. His breath was coming out in a way that showed his panic attack was only getting worse. âI donât need your help!â He hissed out at her.
School was supposed to be a safe place. The place he could go where the terrors of the world wouldnât touch him. His home had once been that, but now he felt as if heâd lost both his childhood home and his school as a safe place. The world was fucking messed up. It hadnât even been him that had been attacked, it had happened to someone he barely knew. But it felt like everything was happening all over again and there was the sudden tightness in his chest. Where heâd ended up, he didnât know. It was a dark corner somewhere-- but all he could do was desperately try to focus on his breathing. He was fine, everyone else in his family was fine.

About Kosta:
Kosta is the oldest child of three and has always acted like a responsible big brother from a very young age.
Of his three siblings, he is the most different, even from his parents. He has always taken more pride in his school work and believes the best way to succeed in life is by always doing your best. Because of this, Kosta will beat himself up mentally if heâs not doing as well as he thinks he should be.
[TW] Up until this year, his best friend was his little brother Dragan. Last year his brother committed suicide while they were home on vacation. Kosta blames himself because he feels like he saw warning signs and simply shrugged them off. Heâs withdrawn slightly as a result of this and has a hard time connecting.
Before his brotherâs death, he had very little to no interest in playing quidditch. Dragan had been the quidditch star in his family, and after he passed he pushed himself physically and mentally so that he could make the Ravenclaw team when he returned to school. He feels as if itâs his duty to become the quidditch star his brother had once been, hoping it fills some of the obvious hole in his familyâs life. He has very little love for the sport, but is often practicing more often than anyone else as he does not have the natural talent his brother had.
Before the incident, Kosta was considering a career either in Wizarding Law or Politics.
[TW] Ever since his brothers death he has gotten more withdrawn and slightly angry at the world. He often feels that people are judging him as the brother of the kid who took his own life and is quick to react if he feels like someone is judging him based on this.
Some connections Iâd like:
A former best friend who he pushed away after his brotherâs passing. Someone who keeps looking out for Kosta and wants to reconnect. They would eventually reconnect.
An ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend.
A little sister (a new character but something Iâd eventually like to explore, sheâd be a fifth year)
 The Mun:
Hi itâs Jo! again, but Iâm happy to bring a different character to the table as well!
