Twilight Sparkle Redesign

Twilight Sparkle is the second child of Night Light and Twilight Velvet. From an early age, she showed great interest in magic and a knack for learning. They looked up to the powerful sorcerers of the past, Star Swirl being their favorite. At her first Summer Sun Celebration, Twilight saw Celestia raising the sun, and knew that she wanted to be as powerful as the Princess one day. She poured herself into her studies and eventually, found herself applying to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. Although she initially struggled in the entrance exam, Twilight was able to pass by using a powerful magic surge to hatch a dragon's egg. Her family was also given the dragon hatchling to raise, and Twilight named him Spike. Having passed the exam and earning their Cutie Mark, Twilight began their studies at Celestia's school. Celestia soon recognized their potential and took her under her wing as her star pupil. Celestia gave Twilight various extracurricular assignments, at which, she excelled. Eventually, feeling that she could teach them no more as they were, Celestia decided to send Twilight to Ponyville, to begin her own studies. Her first assignment is to oversee the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration being held there that year, but Twilight had other ideas. She uncovered some ancient texts about the return of Nightmare Moon and is determined to investigate, and possibly, to stop it.

Earth Pony Headcanons

Earth ponies are often considered the "boring" or "default" pony race, despite being by far the most prevalent of all three. Earth ponies are known for their considerable strength and size, often growing to be the largest of all three pony races. They are known for their speed on the ground and their prowess for farming and working with the earth. It seems that earth pony magic connects them to the land itself. Plants grow faster around them, and they tend to heal much quicker than the other races, getting over normally deadly diseases and having mortal wounds heal with just a little scar.
