do u wanna see my pinocchio lampwick friendship analysis
send
ok so i feel like as much as like a side thing their friendship is i felt like a rly important thing and one that could be explored further cuz like it seems simple enough like lampwick is just yet another obstacle for pinocchio and like a personification of bad influence and disobedience and yeah that is part of their friendship.
however i think there is more than meets the eye with the pure concept of them. think abt it lampwick is like the first human kid pinocchio actually considers a friend in most adaptations and i think that could be interesting. another thing i notice is that i felt like their relationship has a bit of an air of idolization from pinocchio's side as lampwick is essentially everything he wanted as lampwick is a real boy as in a real human child. however lampwick also represent the reasons why he isn't a real boy in the eyes of geppetto blue fairy talking cricket and society at large which again i felt like an adaptation where they focus on their friendship and just pleasure island as a whole would be really cool.
tldr i cannot contain my sillyness and i think lampwick and pinocchio are my sillies ever

This is a very valuable and cool project. Let's get this flag out there!

Yes I know international asexuality day is over but I still wanted to share it.
And I'm tired of overcentering 'Allies'. Let's talk about it.
Underrated G/T prompts (in my opinion)
Giants being scared of tinies. Don't get me wrong, I love reading stories where a tiny is terrified of a giant, but I have yet to see one where the roles are reversed. Maybe the tiny is some kind of powerful supernatural creature or is maybe a well-known giant slayer. Maybe the giant is just simply terrified of tinies the same way a human might be scared of a spider. Maybe the tiny even takes advantage of the fact that the giant is afraid of them and manipulates the giant. Idk, I just think it's a pretty cool concept haha.
Giants ripping off the roofs of buildings. Idk what it is, but this is one of my all-time favorite g/t scenarios and I get so excited each time I see it. Some tinies are in a building, maybe a house or something, and suddenly, the entire roof is ripped off at once and a gigantic looming face stares down at the people inside. Maybe the giant reaches in to grab some of the tinies as they try to run. Maybe the giant has been searching for one specific tiny and they've finally found them. Idk it's just a really fun concept.
G/t where neither character is human. In most g/t settings it's either giant/human or human/tiny. While I do love these (especially giant/human) I think it'd be interesting to see a scenario where neither character is human. For example, a giant and a mermaid. Or a robot and a tiny alien. Or a fairy and a werewolf.
Giants in cities. When I do see this trope, it's usually used when a giant is destroying a city. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind that stuff, but it gets kind of tiring seeing it only used that way. Give me a curious giant who stumbled across a human city, peeking inside the windows of buildings and picking up cars and some humans even. Maybe the humans are afraid and running, maybe they aren't, maybe they are even excited. Either way it's a pretty cool concept.
Tinies that aren't afraid to stand up to giants. Maybe the giant is the kind of patronizing giant that doesn't realize that constantly teasing and infantilizing the tiny annoys them, or maybe they are just straight up mean and have no regards whatsoever for the tiny. Meanwhile the tiny has just about had it, and puts their foot down, letting the giant know how they truly feel and just what they think of them. They've been holding their true feelings in for a while, and now it all comes pouring out. Maybe the giant is ashamed and listens, maybe they snap as well and shout at the tiny, maybe they simply don't care, looking down apathetically at the tiny.
I've got many more I like but these are a few. Maybe I'll make a part two.
I think I know why G/t resonates with so many of us autists. If you're tiny, the world looks big and scary. It's overwhelming. Every footstep feels like an earthquake. Every conversation sounds like a screaming audience at a concert. Every table or chair is the size of a hill. Everything is too big for you. Too much for you. You feel like you're too small to do anything. All you need is to be accepted and properly integrated into society. It also helps if you have a giant friend to gently hold you and press you against their chest like a weighted blanket. If you're giant, the world is too small for you to fit into. People find you weird and off-putting and scary, even when you don't mean it. You feel like you have to walk on eggshells in order to seem "acceptable" to society. You can't be true to yourself in this world that's too small for you. Society only accepts you if your size can be useful to them. Everything you do is scrutinized by society. They view you as a monster. But in reality, you're just different. Forced to live in a world that wasn't made for you. All you need is for society to accept who you are and give you a place to fit in. It helps if your tiny friends are there for your needs, letting you talk to them or gently fidget with them. I know I'd rather be tiny, but the giant part was very much based on my personal experiences as an autistic person.
Still her little boy.
Originally this was going to be a fully colored illustration. But I got so dissatisfied and burnt out from it, I can't work on it anymore. Decided to post it as a rough sketch instead.
Ethan's growth spurts are stressful, but his mother Helena is always ready to comfort him.
Sometimes I feel crazy because I love mini-giants just as much as actual giants, walk with me.
the tiny gets to be more mobile in the story if you don't want them to be carried absolutely everywhere
the tiny can still sit on one shoulder depending on how big your mini-giant is, or they could sit on both shoulders like they're going to play chicken, and they'd rest their head on the giant's head (please tell me you know what I'm talking about)
CUDDLES!
the giant holds onto the tiny like they're a freaking stuffed animal trapped in their arms
the kisses are huge and overwhelming, the giants lips take up most of the tiny's face.
don't get me wrong, the giant still has to be careful but they can be a little bit rougher if you know what I mean.
also picture this! the giant is on one knee, eye level with the tiny and the tiny just walks up and wraps their little arms around the giant's neck, having to stand on their tiptoes just to reach them.
the giant responds by fully wrapping their arms around the tiny, lifting them off the ground and into their full embrace. It's so warm, the giant is so careful with them, it's like the tiny is lost in their arms.
PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT THE ONLY MINI-GIANT ENTHUSIAST
Being a giant much SUCK
Being a giant is always having to make yourself palatable and toned down for the sake of others. You can never be all out for anything, because it would be too much.
You have to move slow and careful, because it's dangerous if you're not. You have to be so gentle, because you have the strength to crush anything if you're not. You always have to lower your volume, even when excited or angry, lest you blow out someone's eardrums or scare someone.
You constantly have to make yourself palatable and LESS so as to be accepted. You can never lash out and be truly angry. I prefer to be tiny myself, but my experience with being autistic feels so similar to this that I can't help but be sad for fictional creatures that don't exist and their emotional turmoil.
The dehumanization of tinies is talked about a lot. To be dismissed as just another little pest like a rat or a bug, or maybe being seen as a pet for those bigger than you. But what about the dehumanization of giants?
This is specifically with borrowers, because imagine this.
A borrower has lived in this same human's house for years now. Over time, they've stopped seeing the human as a human and have started seeing them as just another dangerous obstacle to avoid in their life full of dangerous obstacles.
The human's voice is just a cacophony of loud noises that the borrower doesn't bother to differentiate from the droning of the TV or the humming of the kitchen appliances, unless it could be useful information for them.
The human's footsteps are just a warning signal for the borrower to flee before the big dangerous thing finds them. Either that, or they're an inconvenient earthquake that shakes the walls they're in.
Everything the human does is just another piece of information for the borrower to determine how to borrow today. The human cries? Good. They're occupied. The human coops themselves up in their room? Good. That means they won't come out while the borrower is borrowing. The human gets into an argument with another human or, god forbid, a physical fight? The borrower just knows now is not a safe time to come out. They don't care if their human is safe.
The human is just one of those cartoon villains whose face you never see, except in this case it's just because the borrower never cared enough to look that far up.

My name is Abdul Qader Abu Ghosh, I am 18 years old, I live in Palestine, Gaza family who is going through difficult times in Gaza.
It has been an endless nightmare for them since October 7, 2023, when the war started.
For more than 300 days, they lived in constant fear, not knowing what each day would bring
His family consists of 8 members.
They lived in a safe and warm home full of beautiful memories. Since the beginning of the war, they have been on the run, moving from one place to another in search of safety.
They are now in the Nuseirat camp, which was the safe place for them during the war, but now there is no safe place for them in the Gaza Strip They are now trying to escape the scourge of war. It is a dangerous and unsafe place, especially for children and the elderly.
They live in a state of oppression and misery and suffer from a lack of food, water, electricity, medicine and all forms of life.
I feel helpless watching his family suffer.
Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference in their lives, especially for children. They are the people most vulnerable to the traumas of war, and every day is a struggle for them.
With your support, we can give them a chance to escape the atrocities they have been subjected to and create a better future.
Please, let's come together and do everything we can to help save these innocent lives from the brink of death and the scars of trauma.
The money raised will be used to help them build a better life for his family after he leaves.
To cover rent, living expenses and education. The campaign will cover the costs of transporting the family outside the borders
We need to raise between $5,000 and $7,000 for each member of his family of 8 to enable them to cross the Rafah border.
And I need other cost to complete my university studies.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting our cause.
Your generosity will make a huge difference to his family.
