There's a group I think called "Flotsam" or something similar that does circus shows on a boat along the Mississippi river. Stop in the various towns, do a show, and move on. They actually live on the boat - and it's very nomadic. People put them up, feed them, someone is even storing their boat for a year. They run on donations and so there's a part where someone dresses up like a "monster" and eats the money. The performer who does this explained in an interview that once there was a toddler, clutching his dollar waiting his turn - watching this monster eat eat eat the money. And when it came time to give his dollar, he instead tried to eat it himself. The performer explained their delight at what felt like a full circle moment. It is a really cool story of how there's truly no one way to live - so many options
