Godtier deity effects
What if when you ascend to godtier and enter a new universe, over time, you physically changed. After all, a lot of gods and mythological figures donât really look human, at least 100%. Here are some ideas for looking like proper gods! â â â Space - Have small, marble sized satellites orbiting them - Skin like polished chrome - Eyes like a galaxy - Their freckles are stars, if you look close enough. They glow at night - Hair that seems infinitely thick - Their freckles are the constellations, the night sky literally looking like them Time - Each footstep sounds like a deafening, solitary tick on a clock - When walking on grass, the grass springs up. When taking their foot off, it withers and dies before returning to normal - Their breath creates a heat shimmer effect - Sand trails from their hands and feet, as if they were disintegrating - An aura of dust - Patches of rust on their skin - Their irises are gears or mini clocks - Everything seem to stop as they approach
Light - Blood is rainbow technicolor - Their touch makes things shimmer and shine - Their skin is naturally radiant - While touching things, they temporarily turn to gold - They have skin like stained glass - They glitter gold dust as they walk Void - Have no body temperature - You canât sense their presence. You just feel. Nothing. - Pure black eyes - Drips black ink - Dark mist curls around their feet/hands/eyes - Everything they touch grows darker, but if you look closer thereâs a subtle glitter to it - They have a dark aura around them, sometimes manifesting as horrorterror-esque tendrils - Have an aura of whispers Heart - Eye colors change depending on mood - Has a visible aura - When their heart is beating hard, everyone hears it - Spirits are visible around them - Multiple arms - Have crystalline skin - Skin like cracked glass
Mind - Teal electricity sparks when they concentrate - Eye contact with them is haunting, like glass shards against your soul. They see through you - When around them your thoughts, ideas, and imagination become visible - Multiple eyes Hope - Angel wings - a halo - Seems to have angel bodyguards follow them around - Bleed shimmering gold ichor - Their presence sounds like faint bells and chimes - They often have âGod Rayâ lighting - Their skin looks like polished stone - Their daydreams are visible Rage - Black sclera with purple irises - Demon horns - Dark purple or black veins - A halo of violet light - Their foot steps leave flames - Sharp teeth - Eyes like burning coals - They exhale smoke and embers and have a general smoke aura. Embers cover their shoulders - Cat/snake/pentagram eyes - Black crow/raven/bat wings - Demonic rune tattoos - A voice like thunder or a calming fire Life - Their hair is a bunch of leaves - Their footsteps make flower bloom - As they walk, flower petals trail from them - Has skin like bark or has scales - Can have any number of animal features like cat ears, a tail, horns, etc - Vines wrap around their limbs - Always seems to be healthier than you are, especially on your best days Doom - Has a full body tattoo of their skeleton - Lifeless eyes - They donât bleed - Plants wither, wilt, and die as they walk past - Their voice is sharp and crisp, like the slamming of a door or the sound of a book hitting the floor - Green specks and numbers float around them, like the Matrix - Skin like cold iron, both in touch and texture - Magic circle tattoos Breath - Small clouds form at their feet when walking on air - When they yell, the wind howls - Their hair almost like water, gracefully floating and moving - Their breath is visible like mist or an exhals on a cold day - As they walk past, they always carry a light breeze - Their hair is made from puffy clouds - Legs turn into gaseous mist - They are incredibly light for the height and weight Blood - Blood like liquid shimmering ruby - In the dark, their veins glow like molten lava - Their touch feels vaguely familiar - Their eyes are a deep red, looking at them feels like home - They have a warm aura, growing in weight and intensity with their anger. - Their voice always brings a vague sense of nostalgia for home, in a way you cant quite place - The whites of their eyes becoming redder, as if a vessel had burst inside - Cuts would tend towards bleeding in three distinct trails, mirroring the aspectâs symbol â â â These are just a few of the possibilities and can help steer and direct personal traits and motifs. Of course this is never final or anything, itâs just to help spur ideas Made partially because I shared my initial Rage list with mod Wren from @prospitsisters s and they started having ideas for others, so naaaturally I had to do stuff for others too. They made an effects list too! Go check it out!

WEâVE GOT CHARACTER ART (part 1)
(part 2)
Fun little comic doodles based on @unicyclehippo amazing and funny post
Last one
i think the near-extinction of people making fun, deep and/or unique interactive text-based browser games, projects and stories is catastrophic to the internet. i'm talking pre-itch.io era, nothing against it.
there are a lot of fun ones listed here and here but for the most part, they were made years ago and are now a dying breed. i get why. there's no money in it. factoring in the cost of web hosting and servers, it probably costs money. it's just sad that it's a dying art form.
anyway, here's some of my favorite browser-based interactive projects and games, if you're into that kind of thing. 90% of them are on the lists that i linked above.
A Better World - create an alternate history timeline

Miniconomy - player driven economy game
Checkbox Olympics - games involving clicking checkboxes
BrantSteele.net - game show and Hunger Games simulators
Murder Games - fight to the death simulator by Orteil
Cookie Clicker - different but felt weird not including it. by Orteil.
if you're ever thinking about making a niche project that only a select number of individuals will be nerdy enough to enjoy, keep in mind i've been playing some of these games off and on for 20~ years (Alter Ego, for example). quite literally a lifetime of replayability.
since this post blew up, i've been wanting to do an addition with all of the recommendations from the comments and tags. but there's a lot of them. some people might be crazy enough to sit down and seriously put them all in one post with descriptions. those people are honestly sick in the head.
anyway, here's all of the recommendations from the reblogs. not all of them are text-based, but it's a great mixture of styles. also don't forget the links in the second paragraph of the OP which will take you to FMHY where there are a bunch more games listed.

Prince of Breath
Out of all the Princes, I would imagine that the Prince of Breath holds some of the most significant issues. The destruction of freedom itself can never be a good thing for those who follow the Failed or True paths of this classpect, yet for those who are Realised, it could be the difference between fighting an unbeatable boss and breezing through the game.Â
True Prince of Breath
Main Analysis
A True Prince of Breath is one who allows his destructive nature to encompass him entirely.Â
There are no limitations to what he will destroy, nor to whom the destruction affects; wherever there is freedom, flexibility, detachment or movement, the True Prince of Breath will destroy all. This is not a coordinated attempt at destruction, and should never be seen as such; True Princes do not calculate what they destroy, they simply do, as they embody their class so perfectly that their destruction is second nature to them, and thus not something they truly realise they are doing.Â
This becomes worse when combined with a floaty aspect such as Breath; a True Prince of Breath destroys freedom itself, destroys the ability for someone to become detached from a person or situation, destroys the ability to make choices for themselves, and thus holds the potential to become or create incredibly toxic people.Â
In ghosting Blood, he brings out all of the worst qualities Blood contains. He likely traps people in friendships or relationships, causes them to feel as if they cannot leave - or that, perhaps, leaving and gaining freedom is simply too big of a step to take, too much of a terrifying unknown to chance. His advice likely destroys the freedom of others, and his words override their options to replace them with only one potential - his own. In this sense, if a friend seemed close to ending a relationship they were truly not happy with, and they went to the Prince of Breath for advice, a True Prince of Breath would likely talk them down from leaving the relationship, convincing them that if they were happy in the relationship in the first place, then they must be happy now - just stuck in a rut, or something.Â
He would likely cause others to be heavily reliant on him, to need his stability to tie them down, and would destroy anything that may cause them to leave; in this sense, he may convince friends or partners that a dream within their reach is just not worth their time, or that attempting to leave to follow it would be terrible to the friends they would be leaving behind. In ghosting Blood, he forces bonds to remain in tact, ties everyone he knows together and holds them in one place, regardless of how unhappy they may be. He may not even be utterly aware that there are issues in the first place; though he ghosts Blood, he is not a Blood player, and thus does not have the same understanding of relationships, stability, and union that a Blood player would. In his destruction of Breath he would, perhaps, never once assume that what he is doing is hurting people - that destroying their freedom could be a negative thing.Â
Think on the idea of freedom of speech, too; he would talk over other voices so frequently and so strongly that differing ideas and opinions may slowly fade into obscurity, until eventually one strong, unified front remains. Freedom of expression may face a similar fade into obscurity, the ability for those around him to be loud and proud about who they are - perhaps not because he entirely wants to stifle their ability to express themselves, but because he thinks the idea is ridiculous and worthless.Â
Self-confidence, naturally, would take a hit; without the ability to be individual, to express themselves to their entirety, those around him would begin to doubt who they are, who they should be, and turn to him for help.Â
Of course, we cannot forget one of the most important points of being a Prince of all; the lack of their own aspect. A True Prince of Breath lacks everything he causes others to lose. In destroying the freedom of others, he also destroys his own freedom, tying himself down in one place regardless of how free he could be if he tried. He lacks self-confidence and perhaps tries to cover it with loyal friends whom are unable to leave him, filling confidence with mindless opinions recited to him in perfect harmony. He has no options besides those that are already deemed acceptable - by society, an authority figure, or some other older or wider point of contact that would have helped to shape his ideology while growing up. He, as much as anyone around him, lacks any sort of freedom he may own.Â
In the sense of powers⊠a True Prince of Breath is certainly the most volatile. The pure power of the Breeze at his disposal to utterly tear down everything in his path, the ability to destroy the Breath inside a person at any given moment, to destroy a personâs sense of being by turning them into a Breeze that can never be brought back - these are the rather extreme ways a True Prince of Breath may present their powers. It is crucial to remember, however, that True players do not actively control their powers; they simply occur, and thus can happen at some of the most inopportune times - or worse, against allies instead of foes.Â
Personality AnalysisÂ
True Princes of Breath are stubborn people. They fight to keep bonds together and seem immobilised in place. They never move with the flow of the times, nor with the physical movement of people; they remain where they are, brush off petty ideas and focus entirely on that which they consider to be most important. They are loyal to those who befriend them, but expect the same loyalty in turn, forcing that loyalty to exist through the destruction of freedom if it does not form naturally. They may switch back and forth between coldly distant and openly emotional, their classpect so deeply entwined with who they are that they struggle to present themselves in any distinct way; the actual Breath aspect, or the Blood aspect that they ghost. In truth, they are great defenders of those they care about - and they do care, quite deeply in fact - but tend to be ignorant about their wants and needs. They are under the assumption that everything is right the way it is, and that there could be no desire for change, or for more.Â
Home Life AnalysisÂ
A True Prince of Breath is one who was raised without freedom. All decisions were made for him, and he was likely forced to make friends he did not truly want to make. He may have been forced to keep up appearances, to adhere to a strict ideology or purpose, and to place the inner circle of the family and friends above all else - and their success above even that. He would not have been allowed to express himself, nor to think out of the regulated norm, and would have been shut down had he tried to bring up any new trains of thought or desire to leave. He would have lost his self confidence entirely, been raised to rely on those advisors charged with his care, and thus grown up to believe that others simply need to conform to this ideology as well. There is the potential that at one point he was free, and did try to achieve freedom, but had it backfire spectacularly against him, thus causing him to believe that the ideology he was forced into is the truth and the only way to remain safe. He believes himself better and more stable in a group, and likely fears being left alone to confront the ideas of freedom without guidance of what he should or should not do. In essence, much of who he is boils down to things he has been groomed to be, without the potential for change.
(In a sense, Moanaâs father from Moana is a good example of this in a nutshell; he attempts to pursue freedom, and suffers a great loss because of it. As a result, he furiously denies anyone the same attempt at freedom for fear of them facing the same loss as he once did - even though itâs clear to him that Moana needs to be free, and that forcing her to stay on the island to become the next chief, forcing her to create and strengthen these bonds, is not good for her. This should form your main idea of a True Prince of Breath; not entirely someone who destroys freedom to be inherently awful - although that potential remains - but instead someone who destroys freedom out of care.)
Realised Prince of Breath
Main AnalysisÂ
A Realised Prince of Breath is one who regulates the destruction he causes, shifting the focus from an overarching destruction to only that which needs to be destroyed.Â
Rather than destroy freedom itself, he destroys that which makes people too flighty and free, distracting them from responsibilities or pulling them away from opportunities that they can actually take advantage of. He may destroy the option of following a dream, but only so that they may see a different option that is well within reach, allowing his friends to achieve the very best they can without falling into the pitfalls of the unattainable ideal.Â
He would destroy his own freedom by tying himself down to his friends, rather than tying them down to himself; strengthening the bonds between all within the friend group, he would be the undeniable leader, working to keep everyone in tune with their duties and responsibilities, with their individual connections, and would be a constant source of support and companionship.Â
He destroys the self-confidence in people who are overly confident, taking them down a few notches to show to them that they were not, in fact, prepared for the task at hand at all, thus saving them from humiliation, embarrassment, or worse.Â
He flits from person to person, strengthening those he considers to be within his close circle, and frequently extending it to those who are drawn near to his stabilising presence; he destroys the individual freedom of a person by incorporating them into a unified group that works together to help each individual achieve the very best they possibly can. This may cause the issue of a clique forming, but not a complete lack of individuality; instead of being forced to conform to the Princeâs ways as a True Prince of Breathâs group would, a Realised Prince of Breathâs group would merely look perfect and untouchable, unique in its structure and purpose and its stability. It is a very tightly knit group.Â
Instead of turning his complete destruction of breath against himself and his friends, he would turn it on his enemies, and to an incredibly effective degree. Destroying the freedom of another may simply entail them being grounded, or may rise to the point of being put in jail; it may come in the form of destroying their freedom of speech, turning others against them until their voice is drowned out - or, if what they have said is particularly hateful, by doxxing them until they eventually give in. He may destroy their self-confidence, making them question if they can truly handle stepping up against the Prince and his group, or he may destroy their options, ensuring that their dreams are lost and their freedom is well out of reach - perhaps by pulling ties to ruin their chances at attaining a job, or by forcing them to stagnate in the same place for the rest of their lives.Â
Though Princes tend to lack their aspect, this would simply show in the Realised Prince of Breath in the form of extreme loyalty to friends, an unwavering sense of duty, and an incredible amount of responsibilities he attempts to shoulder daily. He would focus himself almost entirely on nurturing a sense of loyalty between himself and his peers, but would almost certainly be steadfast in his decision to remain friends with those he considers part of his group. Perhaps regardless of whether or not they deserve it, stubbornness remains something even the Realised Prince of Breath struggles with, and thus he would stubbornly stick by friends and against enemies, partially destroying his potential to be free.Â
In a SBURB sense, this can quickly become beneficial; enemies would be less willing to fight, and bosses who are incredibly hard to beat would never be freed. Perhaps denizens would never wake up, and someone like Lord English would never be released. In the sense of actual powers, they would be very much akin to a True Prince of Breath; incredible hurricanes of destructive force, the ability to turn individual people or creatures into the Breeze, perhaps the physical ability to cage enemies in place in order to destroy their freedom. He is certainly a very strong ally to have on hand.Â
Personality Analysis
Realised Princes of Breath are stubborn, yet utterly loyal, people. Perhaps to a fault, they will attempt to keep groups together and to give as much of themselves as they can to those around them, encouraging their growth as a group rather than their growth as an individual. They are level-headed, determined, and exceptionally quick to leap to the defence of someone they consider close to them. Their balance of emotion and rationality makes them incredibly good leaders, and draws people in towards them like moths to a flame; they exude a warmth and comfort that lets you know that everything will be taken care of should you join them. They tend to be more serious than other Breath players, dissuading people from frivolities and disliking distractions themselves. Thatâs not to say that they donât like fun; rather, they divide their time between work and play, and dislike when serious situations are not taken seriously.Â
Home Life Analysis
A Realised Prince of Breath is one who has been raised with an importance on family and friendship, but who has come to realise that you cannot control people without losing their central being. He has likely been surrounded by family and friends his whole life, has come to depend on those ties and, perhaps, has had to fight to keep a divided people together. He has been raised to understand the importance of responsibility, likely having seen the consequences of those who were too free - those who became estranged from family, or lost everything in the attempt to chase an impossible dream -Â but has likewise seen the consequences of taking a personâs freedom away - perhaps having been friends with someone who had overly strict parents, and saw how much said friend hated them as a result. He has grown toeing the line between ensuring a lack of freedom that could destroy a person entirely, and allowing some freedom to exist to ensure their happiness remains. Everything he does is for the benefit and happiness of those around him; his most important aspect in life being the friends he makes and the family that remains.Â
Failed Prince of Breath
Main AnalysisÂ
A Failed Prince of Breath neither allows his destruction to become all encompassing, nor controls it enough to direct his use.Â
He awkwardly fumbles with the desire for freedom and yet a fear of it, looking longingly at that which may help him be free and his own annoyance at himself for falling for it. He is the person who desires self confidence, but does not believe it is something that can just be achieved; the person who has big dreams and itches to follow them, but canât quite let himself try, yet canât exactly forget them, either. He has options before him that he wants to consider, but never truly does; even if he can see multiple ways for an event to play out, he will consider some of them ridiculous, and utterly disregard them.Â
He desires to leave, and yet stays exactly in the same place, wistfully imagining all the things he could be doing while putting himself down for being deluded enough to think on them. This causes issues when he tries to form bonds; he does badly at convincing others that he doesnât truly want to leave, that he doesnât actually want to be free or have a thousand options before him, and thus causes endless frustration for the people he tries to surround himself with. He is unable to keep them by his side, letting them slip through his fingers because his contradictions are simply too significant to ignore.Â
For someone who should present some form of stability, he is actually one of the most unstable classpects, flitting back and forth between a desire for freedom and the knowledge that he will never do it. This evident stagnation is what tends to chase people away; he does not convince them not to follow their whims and fancies, and they eventually become tired of his constant avoidance of his true desires.Â
He is not isolated, per se, but certainly faces constantly changing friend groups; people leave and join in waves, ensuring he is never truly alone, but taking away from him the true feeling of kinship, bonds, and loyalty. In turn, he struggles to be loyal; he flits about too much to care for those who are not his most present concern, and thus he may forget about people or their issues on the regular. Rather than being content about his position in life, there is something within him that calls out for more, something that desires to be free of the responsibilities he tries to juggle and the attachments that he struggles to maintain.Â
It is this, ultimately, that makes him Failed; the indecision of destruction, and the absolute failure to do it as a result. As a result of this, a Failed Prince of Breath would have next to no powers. Minor control of the Breeze is likely all he will be able to achieve, as all other powers are either too destructive or aspect-orientated for him to pull off effectively.
Personality Analysis
Failed Princes of Breath are fake social butterflies. They flit from person to person attempting to find people who will accept them, but actively struggle to keep the friends that they already have. They replace those who have lost care for them with those who show any interest, attempting to form meaningful bonds on a foundation of insecurity. They struggle with a lack of self confidence, and thus tend to present as more roaming wallflowers than anything else. While they may initially be fun to talk to, their contradictory ways will soon present the impassable conundrum they exist as, and any interest one may have had in them will soon fade. They are not inherently bad or awful people, but rely too much on others to give them stability in life while also attempting to present themselves as the cause for that stability; needing others to give them what they lack, but then never truly accepting it. They are thus somewhat quiet and reserved, but may be the sort of people who vent nigh constantly, without actually listening to the advice theyâre given that could help free them.Â
Home Life Analysis
A Failed Prince of Breath is one who has been raised surrounded by instability. They have constantly teetered on the edge of freedom and restraint, on the importance of friends and family and the significance of following your own whims. They have never had complete structure in life, but have been raised to desire it, seeing it as an ideal that they simply donât know how to adapt to. True freedom has never been theirs to grasp, and never to desire, either; they have likely been raised on tales of what struggles true freedom can cause, and thus fear it despite desiring a taste of it deep within themselves. They may have been forced to make friendships while young that they never truly wanted, though unlike the True Prince of Breath they may have fought to keep that friendship alive with the desperate hope that it would, somehow, help. It is the sort of conflicted upbringing that would result in the Failed Prince of Breath being unsure of what he truly wants, thus leading to his frequent fluctuations and uncertainty.Â
Does Classpect confuse you? The endless series of titles and ranks, charting some unfathomable system that is wondrously complex, terribly complex, but overall just seems way too important to the story for something Hussie doesnât seem willing to explain? Well good news! Under the tutelage of my friend and mentor bladekindEyewear, I have the learned the basics, and through spending way too much time thinking and writing about the classes and aspects, I have come up with working definitions and ideas behind them! So read on, and look at a few very well defended and defined ideas and theories behind them all.
This system was primarily developed by Homestuck, so reading the comic would be a great asset in understanding it, but by no means should a study be limited to fans of the comic. It would be very interesting to see a non-Homestuck get into the system.
Itâs all under the cut. Questions, additions, theories, criticisms, compliments, and gifts are all well appreciated. Especially the gifts. But be warned: there are approximately 9,000 words here, and you are getting yourself into something big.
