Petulent- person who gets annoyed really easy
10/24/12- Some people seem more naked when they are dressed
Some people seem more naked when they are dressed. This sentence is very powerfull in the 21st century. in one way of telling the sentence is some people wearing cloths so tight or so tiny it practicly is like being naked. But another way is you can see someones personallity by see how they are dressed. That is the case with Jessica. Jessica wears the tightest the shortest cloths ever to school. People think she is a slut or just wants attention, but what the dont know that deep inside Jessica is a girl who is not even close to a slut, she is actually in the honor role and has never kissed a guy in her life. What makes her dress like that is her dad. Her dad is crazy and doesnt treat her daughter like he should. He wants her to be married to a very rich man, so he buys all that slutty close so guys would strait noticing her. His dad does not know her daughter is really smart and can do things by her self. Jessica's dad makes Jessica go to extra curriculum clases but no the interesting ones or physical such as debate or volleyball, he makes her go to cooking class, cleaning, and makes her go to the cheerleading squad.

“Life is a game, boy. Life is a game that one plays according to the rules.”
Catcher in the Rye
J. D. Salinger
I picked this quote because I live by rules or instructions day-by-day like in this picture.
Moron
1. Is the motif a noun? verb? adjective?
Noun 2. How does it come up in the novel, and how does it impact what is going on? What happens immediately preceding or immediately following a mention or discussion of this motif?
Moron is normally a word somebody uses to insult someone, it comes up in the novel when Holden gets annoyed with his conversation with Ackley, and he decides to leave New York earlier and when he is in the hallway he yells "Sleep tight y'all morons" 3. What is the mood when this idea or thing is brought up? Would you associate this with times when Holden is content? frightened? frantic? confused? Is this mood consistent with every incidence of this motif?
THe mood is more an angry frustrated mood, when he says morons on chapter 7 he is pretty angry. Not always does this motif become a angry mood but a frsutrated mood. 4. Is Holden alone when this motif occurs? If not, with whom is he interacting? How would you charac- terize that interaction? Does this motif occur both when he is alone and when he is with other people? Is there a connection to be made?
Well not precisely is he alone but before saying the word moron he becomes angry or frustrated with his friends, so he says it when he is alone but he also wants them to hear it so they can at least acknowledge that he is upset in some sort of way, normally when someone is angry and says a bad word they don't always keep it int heir mind they say it out loud, everyone does it. 5. What does this motif tell you about Holden, in a “big picture” way - Does this suggest anything about his personality? His weaknesses or strengths? His sense of himself?
Well the motive tells me that Holden is a insecure teenager because he gets frustrated a lot and leaves if someone is bothering him, normally a secure person would stay their and talk back but he just walks away. 6. Tie it all together: Did any pattern emerge? Pick out other words or ideas used in conjunction with this motif. Look back on your investigation and come up with a single sentence that sums up what you’ve discovered. Write three or four more sentences supporting your thesis sentence. Use references from the novel, and form an opinion of your own.
Well a pattern emerged, Holdens way of saying moron is in a frustrated or angry mood. In my research I did not see him saying Moron in a nice and friendly way. In a opinion their is a way of describing Holden in spanish "Subido" which means that he thinks he is the most awesome person that he knows everything, but I think further out in the book he will start to learn that he has to be wrong or be a phony for once in his life.
Teeth
I had braces for 1. 5 years and it sucked so much. I really hated to go on dates and think that I had food, it really sucked. Until the day they took them off I had more confidence to smile, to eat around other, and to stop being cute by the braces. Man I hated it so much but when I saw my new teeth I thought it was awesome and worth it. But now I have to wear a retainer but atleast I can take it off when ever I want. Nw I have perfect teeth and think it is awesome to smile and look awesome
Stream of continuousness-monsters
In a little town called South Park their is a 4th grader who is playing superheroe and his name is The Coon. The Coon starts to make a allianse of super heroes. He calls it Coon and friends. In the Coon and Fiends their are superheoroes like mint berry crunch, or misterion. The Coon mockes mintberrycrunch telling him he is not a real super hero and has to make a cooler superheroe but everybody else dont mind his superheroe. The problem is that The Coon thinks he is the leader and doesnt let anyone else get involved on his plans. Until one day mosquito boy starts to say that everybody should get a chance to participate to solve crimes but The Coon fights with him. The Coon and friends tell The Coons mom on him and she doesnt let him play in his basement with his friends. In that time their is a oil company who makes a oil spill in the Golf in Mexico, and the Coon and Friends want to go their and help. But captain hindsight goes their and ruin the Coon and Friends chances of even trying to help. But after the oil spill the company started to drill more and more to the ground and release creatures from the other dimension. They released Cthulu a dark monster who rules the other dimensions. Everything is in the hands of Coon and Friends but they can't stop monsters from other dimensions because they dont have super powers but they still want to help. Not even captain hindsight can help agains monsters from other dimensions. Until Mintberrycrunch
Quote
This is a people shooting hat,” I said. “I shoot people in this hat.”
Catcher in the Rye
The book
What is the difference between conforming and being a phony?
I think that the difference lies in the people who act on it, for example a phony is a fake person someone who lies about their true identity, and a conformist always tries to go with everyone else he never takes the left turn, sometimes their are real personalities behind those characters, I DONT LIKE TO SAY WHO IS FAKE AND REAL, because you never know what is the true identity.
Holden- He is a sincere person but as I am reading he always talks about how people are phony or conformist, he only crytizises his peers. Although some of the characters are "big phonies" maybe progresing in the book you see the true personality of them.
Just the way I liked it
Write all about Holden’s Hat: Explain how Holden got his hat. Write about the many different ways he wears it and what each way means Discuss the color Discuss what the hat symbolizes What purpose does the hat serve for Holden? Include quotes about his hat.
Holdens hat represents his personality of how he is. In the book it says that he never wears it even near spencers house or football games that he wants to fit in but still has personality. His hat is a flamboyant red cap with a long peaked brim and earflaps. He is very tall for his age and has grey hair so I think the hat is used so he doesnt have to see his hair and try not to be so different.
"Where the hellja get that hat"
I think it is a really odd hat to use and its just something different or silly.
