Drains have been removed, as well as the top layer of adhesive bandage. I can hold my super clinging cat, Momo, again! And I can put shirts on without the annoying drains. I have 95% normal range of motion in my arms and I am 8 days post op. This is not the normal situation I have seen for every other person I have seen get op surgery and I am just greatful.

I have little to no pain still. Now that the sensory hell of the drains is over, I am just dealing with normal soreness and pain levels of a basic healing bruise. My nerve endings are reconnecting! I confirmed that this electrical buzzing tingling I am feeling are my nerves reconnecting and healing. Fun fact that can last up to a year(I hope it does not stay this prominent for that long it is annoying as hell)

3 days post op taking 5 minute binder breaks each day!

I never wore a binder to flatten my chest and I am autistic so this has been sensory HELL for me. Additionally the tubes coming out have been horrible. But I am staying high on pain meds even though I have not truly needed them for pain. They only gave me 6 so I don’t feel bad using them in a slightly different way.

I feel like to have had little to no pain. I also feel very lucky to have like 95% of my arm mobility and range of motion!

It will take forever for me to get used to not having such large tities…but that is okay. I am so happy w how my chest looks right now!!

Tomorrow I get my drains removed and I am even happier it is happening so soon! I am barely leaking any fluids which is amazing(and I have been ‘milking’ the tubes several times a day).

The binder is irritating my skin though! Right at the top of my chest. So I have my ultra plush face towels between my skin and the binder there to reduce the irritation.

Tomorrow I will take a shower and wash my hair and am most excited for that shower. I have been too scared to use the wipes I got myself because I haven’t wanted even more NEW sensory stimulation.

Overall I feel good and I am happy and so excited to heal and try on clothes tomorrow :) as soon as the drains are gone I will be wearing clothes.

I survived top surgery!!! I am in minimal pain rn, just sore. It got done sooner than expected. My surgeon was ready for me earlier in the day than originally scheduled.

I woke up and cried a lot because I was happy for getting it done and happy I survived going under.
