âBut it also kind of makes me pity the people who have never heard of them. I always want to ask them, where do you find your joy in life if not from these iconic musicians?â Remi mocked jokingly, rolling her eyes at the mere idea of not knowing who any of those people were. âYou know what, the second NASA start offering to move people to the moon or to another planet, I will say sign me up straight away because Iâve given up complete hope on the humans down on Earth. Just take me up to space with my record player and records.â she paused for a moment, visibly musing over a thought. â⊠And lots and lots of bottles of wine.â Remi paused again. âAnd some good boxsets of TV shows.âÂ
He could relate to her feelings. Music had always been important to him, for some reasons he couldnât even explained. It had just always been there, in the house, in the car, in his workshop... Jamie needed music and to think that some people didnât know all the iconic musicians he listened to since his childhood was insane. âI would probably stay on Earth and send those people away. They donât deserve to walk on the lands these iconic musicians used to live in.â the male stated. âThat being said... your plan is pretty tempting. Gotta admit Iâm not really into TV shows but it is a nice way to keep yourself busy on your way to Mars. Or to any other planet.â

Jamie was on his way to come back home. Elton John was singing out loud in his old Jeep and the carpenter was just looking forward to having a cup of coffee and working on the workshop he had created on the back of his garage. He was about to turn on the right when he saw Reagan on the sidewalk. He knew her since she was little and he could recognize her literally anywhere. She was like a little sister to him -- and a big help whenever he needed some advice to make furniture more arty. Lowering the carâs window, he slowed down his vehicle so he could talk to her. âHey, Reagan!â he called her out, offering her a smile and a hand gesture. âNeed a ride?â Then, as he remembered a project he was working on and could need some help with, he added, âI may have something to show you, do you have some time ahead?â
Location: Legends With: Jessica Grayson ( @jessgrcysonâ )
His work was done, he had no other things to do and for once, the male didnât want to spend the whole evening alone. He could have bothered Magdalena or one of his other friends but at this moment, a beer seemed to be more tempting. So without hesitation, he put his coat on, and left his place. His destination? Legends, the bar he often ended up in. When he walked in, he looked around -- a reflex more than a real concern -- and headed to the bar. He wasnât there yet when he noticed a well-known blonde girl. Jessica. Of course she would be there. Not that he was complaining. She was good company, even if she always seemed to find a way to make him feel embarrassed. And actually, drinking in Legends without her would have looked a bit weird, if not boring. He didnât knew her much outside of the pub, but he was used to having her as his drinking buddy. âLooks like someone intended on playing solo tonight.â he pointed out, gesturing towards the glass she already had in front of her. âI donât know how I feel about you drinking without me.â he added, attempting to joke as he took a seat next to Jess.
Sometimes, Jamie felt like his work was everywhere in his life because even when he was not on a construction work, he still had a lot of things to do in the house he lived in and kept renovating. That day could have been just like his other free days if he had not realized that some materials were missing so after a quick coffee, the male headed to the closest hardware store. About twenty minutes later, his cart was almost full. All he needed now was a couple of boards so he stopped, left the cart nearby and chose two long planks. Two too long planks because the carpenter didnât anticipate the length and when he picked them to put them on the cart, he almost hit another customer. âOh fuck, Iâm so sorry!â he exclaimed right away, feeling incredibly embarrassed. | @edtstarterâ

âWhat? He signed already?â he asked into the phone. That was unexpected, and had only really taken a mild threat, a few words and nothing more. Still it suited him. Normally heâd have just waited it out, but he could see the bookstore going under, and he didnât much feel like watching that happen. âYeah, ok Iâll come pick it up tomorrow, byeâ he said back into the phone before hanging up, and turning his attention back to the other person, âsorry about that. What were you saying?â @edtstarterâ
Jamie didnât notice that the guy next to him was on the phone when he asked him if he could hand over the laminated menu of the bar so he could pick a snack to go along with his drink. As the male didnât move, the carpenter finally realized that he was actually busy and remained patient for a couple of minutes. âDonât worry, Iâm sorry I bothered you.â he replied the man hung up the phone. âI was just wondering if you could give me the menu on your right.â he explained, pointing at said menu.

After her incredibly long and laborious shift at the hospital, Remi just managed to gather enough energy to change out of her scrubs and let her hair done before heading straight to the bar. Her job was incredibly rewarding but sometimes also stressful and draining, both mentally and physically. And tonight all she wanted was a good drink, good music, and good company. She mindlessly flicked through the jukebox searching for something she at least recognised from her own music taste before landing on For Once In My Life by Stevie Wonder. The opening chords instantly lulled a smile upon her lips as she returned to her seat at the bar where she was nursing a whiskey on the rocks. âIâm sorry, but what?â Remi exclaimed to the innocent bystander beside her. âDid I hear that right? Did I really hear that bunch of kids over there say theyâve never heard of Stevie Wonder before? You know, I seriously wonder how their generation get through life without reverting back to their caveman ancestry. That one definitely looks like he tries to do cool vape tricks to get girls.â Â
Jamie was ordering a beer when he heard the first notes of For Once In My Life. A smile tugged at his lips almost right away. He grew up with Stevie Wonder and singers from the same generation and it was a song that always put him in a good mood. So when a girl showed up on his left and mentioned the fact that kids didnât know Stevie, he related to her scandalized tone. Yet, she was so into this that he couldnât help chuckling a little. âI know, itâs insane!â he said as he held his hand to grab the beer the bartender gave him, offering him a smile to thank him. âI always feel old when someone says they donât know Stevie Wonder, or Marvin Gaye. Theyâre icons.â Taking a sip of his beer, he added, âWanna know the worst thing Iâve ever heard? I once heard a kid saying he didnât know anything about Michael Jackson.â
location: annaâs diner
with: @edtstarterâ
The diner was pretty slow, save for a couple of people. They were regulars, some of which loved to talk about their lives. Usually Briar didnât mind it, but this one old lady had her there for a good twenty minutes talking about her late husband. The first couple of times that the woman talked about it, Briar listened and felt for the old lady. But months later, it was the same story and the same woman crying as she spoke about her late husband. Briar didnât want to be rude and leave her there all by herself, but she also didnât know what to say. She had run out of things to say. The door of the diner dinged as someone walked in. She quickly excused herself, feeling guilty for feeling relieved, but she couldnât stay sitting there any longer. âHi â please tell me you know what you want. Hell, Iâll even get you some coffee right now.â as long as she looked busy.Â
Jamie didn't keep himself busy with a construction work that day, but with some paperwork. Owning his own business was a chance, and he was proud of it but bills and management? It was a true nightmare. And what would be better than some food to get away from it for a couple of hours? As he walked in Annaâs dinner, the man barely had the time to take a seat: the waitress was already at the table, greeting him right away. âUh... Iâll take a coffee, then!â he said, as he frowned, surprised by how rushed she looked. âAnd pancakes. With maple syrup? Or whatever you want, honestly.â Trying to understand why she was apparently looking for something to do right away, he asked, âIs everything alright?â
Hey, folks! I'm Ana, Iâm super excited to be with you, and here's my baby Jamie.
