When it came to roommates, Daewon had not been the luckiest because all of them seemed to either be there in the room or not at all and while he enjoyed having the room to himself, he wished he could have a roommate that would be there at least some of the time. He also hoped as he moved his things to his new dorm that his new roommate would not spend all his time in the room and once again make him feel like an annoying guest. More than anything, he wanted to befriend his new roommate and he had not been able to do that with any of his past roommates. Was it too much to ask for someone that could at least talk to him or get along with? Maybe it was.
Besides, the last thing he wanted was to get his hopes up for them to fall to the ground so he tried not to hope for too much as he opened the door but once he did, he immediately stopped where he was. Even though he could only see his back, Daewon knew it was Tristan and the misfit could only furrow his eyebrows as he tried to figure out what his friend was doing in his room. It wasn’t like it was hard to understand but the possibility of sharing a room with Tristan or Hyuksoo never passed through his mind. “Tell me you are not here to bring someone’s stuff or got lost or do tell me that before I get my hopes up.” The misfit said as he placed his things on the side of the door and then proceeded to close the door behind him.
tristan had a fifty-fifty relationship with roommates he supposed, mostly in the fact he’d never been placed with someone in his year, and for the past two years he’d only had freshman so a lot of his time had ended up being a helping hand and showing new kids around the campus to help them settle in. no one had been overly bad he supposed, but he did have a stoner in his first year, and that wasn’t exactly a great experience to the point he ended up sleeping in an empty bed in one of the other hipster’s rooms instead. but hell, his first year hadn’t been that great for tristan, mostly on the fact that he’d not been in the best state then-- but either way, the hipster was curious to who his new roommate would be now.
he’d gotten their first apparently. beds all made up and room completely bare, it always amused him really how rooms went from being so lively and full of belongings, to completely stripped when it came to changing rooms each year. for now, tristan was just focused on trying to get all of his stuff settled with only the usage of one arm still, but the door opening didn’t go unheard by tristan, and neither did the far too familiar voice that came after it too. it made a smile appear on his face as he looked up at his youngest best friend. “daewonnie,” he laughed a little-- well, he could tell this year should be good. “i can tell you right now that i am none of those things. and you better not either, because if you’re not then i guess i’m saying hello to my new roommate.”
