kseunseo
she stares at daewon with a blank look, blinking once at his optimism. was she supposed to be laughing right now? god, she was going to make a fool of herself. eunseo squeezes her eyes shut because one, she couldn’t believe this was actually happening at the moment, and two the mention of her teacher, too, because that was just a reminder of how goddamn terrifying they were. seriously, someone that old and prune-ish and tense and rude ought to go on a vacation. and see a dermatologist, or something. “i’m going to die.” she whispers. okay, a bit of an exaggeration- but for her, especially at the moment, she really did think that was going to happen. by words and judgement, and probably her own depreciation of herself. “how long is this class for?” she questions as she looks around.
not that it would matter much, anyways- eunseo was done for regardless. oh no, what if her grandfather heard about this? she didn’t want to make herself look like even more of a disappointment in his eyes. eunseo had already done enough to tarnish their family name- a now, a delinquent in school? what if she was missing an extremely important lesson or explanation on a project? some part of her knew that she was being completely and utterly overdramatic, of course- but she’s sixteen, and this was a very valid point. eunseo swears she’s seen something like this happen in an american movie she’d watched when she was younger- or, rather, all of them. thankfully, however, the boy (or guy, or man- how was she supposed to label him as?) seemed to be more over concerned for her rather than judgemental. at least that was one less daunting stare once she figured out how she as going to leave. god, it was moments like these that she truly wished she had the same mindset as jungrin.
It’s kind of hard to pay attention to the class knowing that the younger wasn’t supposed to be there and when she didn’t make a move to leave, he couldn’t help but wonder if she was planning on staying there until the class was over. The answer didn’t take that long to be answered when she asked how long the class lasted and he found himself frowning because shouldn’t she be trying to get to her class before it ended? Of course, as he looked at her, he was once again reminded of how strict teachers were and how much power they had over the students. The thought of going to class late back when he was in high school was unthinkable and it was then that he realized that that might be the reason she was still sitting there.
It lasts an hour but we can go to the school nurse so she can write you a note to give to your teacher tomorrow, she owes me a favor so she won’t mind. He wrote this in a piece of paper and then placed it on her desk before offering her smile, hoping that he could help her someway. Of course, maybe she didn’t want his help and that was fine as well. He just didn’t want to leave her without any options and if she did accept his help, he was ready to get her out of the classroom. Maybe he should have been more concerned with his grades and himself in general but he couldn’t just ignore the girl. Besides, he could always ask for the notes from any of his classmates since he usually let one or two of them borrow them.
@ksxyiseo
There were a couple of individuals that Daewon wanted nothing to do with because of how they behaved but then again, he knew that there were people that felt the same way when it came to Hyuksoo. Maybe if he had known what he did to Ryosuke, he might have stayed away from the braniac but then again, as much of an ass as he was, he knew that there was good inside the brainiac. It was this reason that when he noticed Yiseo, the second in command of the inferiors, ahead of him in the line at the local cafe, he wanted to know how he could stand the inferior leader. After all, the brief encounter he had with Taeyun left him a big impression and the desire of never crossing paths with the older guy.
Not that it was Taeyun’s fault because Daewon should have taken a hint or stayed away like his gut was telling him but seeing the inferior leader laying in that bench made it hard to do it. “Hey, Yiseo.” He greeted the other one with a smile and then added a moment later: “How you doing? Taeyun is not giving you a hard time, is he?” There was no way that the misfit was going to ask the other how he got along with the inferior leader but hopefully with the question, he might get his answer. He hoped that the other one didn’t mind the question since they were not close and the times they talked before it was very brief. Then again, Yiseo had always been so nice that he doubted he would mind the question.
sleepless days
ksxshannon:
She had tried her best to cover up the bags under her eyes with makeup, but her actions said it all. “I don’t have to deal with my problems for the time being, so I’m just trying to relax while I can.” She responded, giving him a tired but genuine smile. Stifling a yawn, she glanced around the hangout before looking back at him. “I’ll be there for the next Taekwondo practice though, so don’t worry.”
“I have actually.” She’s tried a lot of solutions to help with her insomnia, but as one could tell, none of the said solutions had worked for her. Her insomnia was a lost cause, she had decided and made no more attempts after she had come to the conclusion. She watched as he stood up from where he sat. “Hmm… They’re going well. I just finished a project and a ten paged essay that’s due in a day or two.” She informed, letting out a small sigh of relief at the thought of her finished classwork. Her project had driven her up the walls, especially because Shannon wasn’t particularly too creative when it came to school projects. “How about yours?”
He had hoped that she would say that whatever her problems were, they were a thing of the past so when she said that for the time being she didn’t have to deal with them, he found himself biting his lip in worry. If he could, he would make sure people didn’t have to deal with any problems but he knew that was not realistic. “If there is any way that I can help, please don’t hesitate to let me know.” Even though he was a curious person, he knew when to keep his mouth shut and not ask questions that might be too personal so instead of asking, he decided to offer her his help but he wasn’t sure if he was able to do anything.
“I am glad, it’s not the same when one of us is missing so I look forward to having you back at practice.” He offered her a smile as he told her this but of course, that smile faltered when she told him that she had tried warm milk. It was then that he realized that she probably tried every remedy there was and he simply nodded in reply. At the mentioned of the ten-page essay, his eyes widened and he was glad that at least for now he only had to worry about tests and that short film project he had coming up. “You finished it just in time, I am glad. Does that mean that you finish things with enough time?” He tried his best to finish things early because he agonized about them sometimes and now with work occupying more of his time, he needed to finish things whenever he had time to avoid forgetting. “My classes are fun and at the same more challenging. I am not looking forward to next year since it’s going to be my senior year. Truthfully, I am a little scared about the future.” He replied as they made their way down the hall.

( @ksdaewon )
If there was one person Hyuksoo missed while he was off in France with Tristan, it was Daewon. The young misfit completed their trio and the brainiac has come to consider him as the younger brother he never knew he needed. But then Daewon was the closest thing to a sibling he could have and his mother made sure that the younger was well taken care of. Besides, even without his mother’s constant reminders to take care of the misfit, Hyuksoo had promised himself that he was going to be there for Daewon as much as Daewon was for him.
But he hasn’t seen him much since they got back from France and he’s worried that the misfit might have been avoiding them since he found out through one of their many Skype sessions that his two older friends were together. And so Hyuksoo had made to seek out Daewon and spend time with him, making up for all the time that he’d been in France. He’d just gone out of his dorm, donning his usual coat affair, and had made his way to Daewon’s dorm. If there was anywhere he knew Daewon would spend time in, it has to be his dorm. Not that he didn’t have any other place to go to, but he was banking on the fact that maybe Daewon would be there. Hopefully. And once he got to the door, he let out a breath and knocking, hoping that the misfit would be there now.
With his last class canceled and no work that day, Daewon could finally just lay on his bed and rest. Well, he would have done that if it wasn’t for the fact that he was trying to come up with an idea for a new film but the more he tried to come up with something, the more he felt his creativity disappear. He couldn’t help but feel frustrated and then burying his head into his pillow, he groaned in frustration. Why couldn’t he come up with one good idea? Rolling to his back, he wondered if watching something or doing something enjoyable would help but instead of moving, he remained where he was. His mind began drifting away and it if wasn’t for the knock on the door, he was sure he was going to stay there until he fell asleep or snapped out of it hours later.
Slowly, he got off his bed and it felt as he made his way to the door that he was walking in slow motion. Without asking who was the person knocking, he opened the door and his eyebrows immediately rose when he saw Hyuksoo. He expected the brainiac to be with his boyfriend but a smile appeared on his lips a moment later as he greeted him. “Hey, did you text or call me? If so, I am sorry, I guess I put my phone on silent. What’s up? Where is Tris?” It was strange to ask the other for the hipster but with them dating, he supposed they knew where the other was most of the time. Besides, he didn’t want to be the reason for them to be separated especially since they had not been dating that long.

smiling wistfully at the memory of her homeland, malee nodded at the other’s words. “yes, it’s beautiful,” she replied, “the nature in the countryside is lovely, if you get to look past the usual tourist attractions.” considering his question, she answered sheepishly, “i’ve only been here for about two years now.” looking at him, she bit her lip. “probably explains why my korean is a little awkward-sounding, huh?” it was nice, how attentive daewon seemed to be to her words, making genuine attempts to get to know her like this. he was pretty cute, too, but malee quickly pushed the thought out of her mind so as to not disrupt her concentration in her endeavour to paint. “thank you,” she bowed her head a little, upon hearing him compliment her name. listening to him speak, she turned back to mix some colours to get just the right shade for her piece. “that’s great,” malee shot him a quick glance to acknowledge his words, “so i guess i’m in the company of the next steven spielberg, then?” she laughed. “in all seriousness, though, i love a good film, and it’s really cool that you’ve got the passion for telling stories and all. have you ever made short films and the like before?” malee’s cheeks were tinged with pink when he passed the remark about her. “i’m actually planning to be a marine biologist,” she said, as she carefully applied strokes onto the canvas with a light hand, “but teaching doesn’t sound so bad, either… i have been tutoring the high school kids ever since the school opened, and i’ve found that i quite like doing it.”
Even if he wasn’t looking at her face then, by the way, she spoke, it was obvious that she loved her homeland and that she missed it. When he first came to Korea, he felt the same way but now that he had no one to go back to, the desire to go back was not there anymore. Well, he did want to go back to see how much L.A. had changed but that was all. “You must miss it a lot. Do you have plans to go back during the holidays?” The more she replied to his questions, the easier it became to ask her more questions and he was slowly forgetting that he shouldn’t be so noisy. When she mentioned that her korean was awkward-sounding, he immediately shook his head as he looked her way. “Is it? I didn’t even notice. I think it’s admirable that you learned the language and even came here to study.” A smile was sent her way and when she thanked him, he murmured a ‘you’re welcome.’
Of course, when she joked about him being the next steven spielberg, the misfit choked on his own saliva and then began coughing until he regained control. Thankfully, the pencil was nowhere near his pad and at her question about whether or not he had made short films, he sheepishly nodded. The only people that he had talked to about his films were his friends and it was strange to tell her, someone that had been just an acquaintance until now, about them. “I have. Not many, probably six at most and most of them are for my classes or I am still not done with them. Sadly, I am in my junior year now and I have less time to film or think of any ideas for my next short film.” If there was something he didn’t expect was for her to tell him that she wanted to be a marine biologist but that was mostly because he had met someone else in the past that also wanted to be one. “That is so cool. Are you planning to go into the ocean and study them there? Because I have seen photos of some of the marine life and the deeper they go, the scarier they look. Since you like teaching, is it safe to assume that the high schoolers are not giving you trouble?”
sleepless days
ksxshannon:
She was tired as hell, weary with the burden of long-closed eyes; She could have easily pulled off being a walking zombie, dead on the inside but subconsciously awake. Everything seems to move in a dragged pace, all submerged into a hazy fuzz that was her vision. “Sorry I wasn’t at Taekwondo practice lately. I just had some problems to deal with. ” She told him, rubbing the bleariness from her eyes as she did so. She knew she was being vague, but she wasn’t the type of person, to be frank about her problems.
“Taking a break here and there won’t hurt anyone.” She agreed, humming softly. A walk didn’t sound that bad. It seemed refreshing. “It’s just one of those sleepless nights, I suppose.” Every night was a futile tussle of conflicting thoughts that filled Shannon’s mind. Perhaps that was her problem. Maybe a walk would clear her mind up a bit. “A walk sounds pleasant…Let’s go for a walk then.”
It was as he took a better look at her that he noticed that she looked tired and it didn’t help the way she was rubbing her eyes. He would have asked her about it but he didn’t want to be noisy which is why he didn’t ask her the reason she had not been at Taekwondo practice. He didn’t have to ask though because she brought it up herself and even though her explanation was vague, it was better than nothing. “It’s okay. I do hope that you were able to resolve those problems or that you don’t have to deal with them anymore.” He nodded with a smile as he said that.
At the mentioned that it was a sleepless night, he figured out that he had been right about her looking tired and with a worried expression, he wondered if it was a common thing or not. “Have you tried some warm milk?” She probably had but it didn’t hurt to ask and when she agreed to go for a walk, he immediately stood up. “Let’s go then. How are your classes?” He asked and it was then that he came to the conclusion that he didn’t know that much about Shannon but then again, maybe this walk would give them the time to get to know each other better.
ksxsora
Not expecting such a strong response from him, Sora was taken aback at Daewon’s sudden action. Her name left his lips in an all encompassing whisper before his arms followed suit and pulled her in close. In response her arms moved on their own and fell around his torso, muscle memory kicking in. She closed her eyes and melted into his embrace for a second. Consciously she didn’t realize it until now but fuck did she miss him. Sora figured it would be easier for her if she forgot about everyone at Keisung. It worked while she was back in Daegu over the summer but now that she was back as a sophomore it made it that much harder to face the select few people she cared about again.
The guilt of all the unanswered calls and texts weighed down on her. The prospect of having to explain herself to those who were baffled at her disappearance was nightmare in itself. Nervous that Daewon too would be upset with her she tried to play it cool. Looking up at him in their embrace, without pulling away, she offered a sheepish smile. “I went home, summer vacation” she answered weakly. “It just took a little while getting back to school…” Looking up into his worried eyes again she forced herself to manifest a small smile to reassure him. “You can let go now,” she reminded, “ I promise I won’t go this time.”
They had hugged before, twice in this same place but something about this hug was different. At least it was different in Daewon’s opinion but he couldn’t figure out what it was. Not that it mattered that much because, at that moment, the only thing that mattered to him was that Sora was back and if it wasn’t for that, he would have been less willing to just take her crappy explanation. Even though they had known for a while, he realized that he didn’t know much about her family life and as he opened his mouth to ask what kept her from coming back to school, she spoke again. Once again, the desire to never end the hug came over him and like cold water being thrown on his head, he realized what was different.
Blinking, he let go like she wanted and looking away, he tried to convince himself that there was no way he had feelings for the rebel. This was definitely not the time to figure this out and running his hand through his hair, he tried to push away that realization for now. “I, um, I am glad that you managed to make your way back even if it took longer than expected. I just hope that you are not sorry you came back after you got here.” He was trying to joke but truthfully, part of him was worried that that would be the case even if she said that she promised to not go. “Did you come up here to get some fresh air or?” He wasn’t even sure why he was asking but the last thing he wanted was to give his brain the chance to bring up how he felt so he was hoping she would distract him until he was by himself.
taejoonks
bending down to get a better look at daewon’s work, taejoon couldn’t help but release a small chuckle. it was cute, more so than scary, but he supposed it still fit the halloween theme. even though he wasn’t going to admit it, the amount of detail being put into the decorations was admirable, and taejoon had always rather valued daewon’s contributions to the sets in drama club. “what are they supposed to be, though?” he frowned, trying to make sense of the tilted over wine glasses, now wrapped in colourful tin foil making them out to be an assortment of halloween-related things, bats and pumpkins amongst others.
“no, i don’t need anything,” taejoon grinned. “just came over to look.” he sat down on the floor next to daewon, looking at all the strewn-about material. “geez, you’re leaving such a mess.” he picked at a stray pair of wiggle eyes, holding them over his own eyelids. there was no real purpose of him being here, of course, besides distracting the elder from his work. but taejoon figured he could make himself useful, since he had nothing to do for the rest of the day, anyway. daewon made pretty good company, too – he was actually one of the college students he could actually stand in this place. “sure, i guess i can ‘help’,” he inserted quote marks to his speech, rolling his eyes. “well? what should i do?”
He watched closely as the younger looked at the wine glasses and tried to figure out if at least Taejoon thought they were good. Of course, he couldn’t decipher his expression and it was as he asked what they were while frowning that the misfit wondered if they were not as good as he thought they were. “I was hoping they could be used as table centerpieces. I am going to add little candles on top and then they can be lit so the room won’t need that much light. I also saw this idea of putting a glow stick inside water balloon before putting the water balloon inside a stocking and hanging them from the ceiling. Here, let me show you.” He pulled out his phone out then and once he found the picture, he showed it to the troublemaker.
He nodded as the other explained that he was just there to look and then shook his head with a smile when the younger told that he was making a mess and proceeded to play with the items that he still had not used. “You can’t expect me to work and keep everything tidy. I’ll clean up when I am done unless you want to do it.” He was joking and when he asked Taejoon if he wanted to help, he didn’t expect the younger to say yes so he was a little flustered when the other asked him with what he could help. “Oh, um, do you mind getting your hands dirty? Because if you don’t, I have the perfect thing you can help me with.” It was the next thing on his list to do but he knew that it would involve having to touch glue with water so he wasn’t sure if the troublemaker would be that happy about dealing with that.
kstristan:
“look, i told you that i’ll help you with your outfit or your mask, but there’s a price.“ tristan reiterated the last words spoken that were seemingly going over head right now. how difficult was it to understand this– it wasn’t like he was going to make something like this for free when he literally had companies requesting that when he was better he’d come and do some things for them or release a new line under them. “if you don’t want it, then leave. there are other people already asking, and all you’re doing right now is being a disturbance to those around you.“
Although the misfit understood why his friend was acting this way, he found himself feeling bad for the student that was asking for his help and it was this reason that he called his name. “Tris.” Truthfully, if Hyuksoo had been around, the misfit would have been hesitant to approach him since he didn’t want to get in their way but since the hipster was by himself, he hoped that that would not be the case. “Sorry, I am going to steal my friend but I am sure you can find him later to continue this conversation.” He offered the other student a smile and then turned his attention to his best friend as he wrapped his arm around his shoulders before trying to guide him away. “You are not busy, are you?” It was his way to find out if Tris was planning on meeting Hyuksoo anytime soon and well, he did want to talk to his friend about the ball as well.
ksxyuri
Yuri tried to focus on what she was there to do, but it became a bit too much. Her frustration started to overpower her attention span, until the point that she just wanted to call it quits for the time being. She heard of plenty of things happening around the campus, but this definitely jumped to the top of the mess list. While tapping her nails on the table, she looked back toward her notebook and course book. She wanted to give it another try, rather than just quitting at the first moment given. She got back into her zone, until the sounds occurred once again, making her pause and let out a deep sigh. Enough was enough for her. “Fuck this shit, I’ve had it,” she mumbled out of frustration, while smacking her book away from her chest. She pulled out her phone from her pocket, leaned back into her chair and proceeded to let social media take over her mind. Of course, the issue wouldn’t leave it just yet. “First I can’t get some kind of peace in my dorm hall, now this. What the hell is next.” Suddenly, she didn’t care about being productive anymore.
The brunette started to vent via text messages to some friends, as a way to calm down. If anyone was actually willing to listen to her complain, it would be some of them.As she waited for responses, she glanced over at Daewon at another table. Her eyebrows rose, as her curiosity got the best of her. She was well aware that the both of them heard the disturbing sounds, so what made him want to stick around? What could he possibly could be doing. Curiosity turned into nosiness, as she was willing to find out. He could’ve been doing something important at the moment, but did she care? Not at all. Once she became irritable, all bets were off. Besides, she didn’t talk to him enough individually, and saw this as a chance to change that. Placing her things back into her bag, she stood up from her chair with phone in hand, and walked quietly over to the misfit’s table. She cleared her throat, and leaned down a bit, tapping on the table in attempt to get his attention. “So…is there a reason why you’re still here? Not grossed out enough yet?”
The longer Daewon sat there, the more he regretted his decision of coming to the library but as much as he wanted to leave which he did, he knew that if he left, he was not going to finish editing the short video. He, after all, had to turn it soon and the last thing he wanted was to fail his class. He would have wanted to turn in something new but with the little time he had, he knew that he couldn’t come up with something good so he had no choice than to use something old. He put the volume higher and that helped some which allowed him to continue with what he was doing. Of course, the sounds resumed a little after and he could only sigh because if this continued any longer, he would just give up on everything. He heard the misfit second in command say something but since she was using her phone, he assumed that she was talking to herself.
Still, he took one of the earphones out in case she had been talking to him and this seemed to have been a good thing because the next thing he knew, she was sitting across from him. At the question, he became flustered because he didn’t expect her to ask him that question and taking the other earphone out, he rubbed the back of his neck. “I need to finish this assignment and I know if I leave the library I will put it off.” He offered the other a smile as he replied and then saving his work, he closed his computer since he didn’t want to seem rude. “Uh, what about you? I thought for sure you would either leave or find whoever is doing that when you slammed your hands on the table.” Maybe they should tell the librarian about it because there was no way he was going to find them.
ksjitae:
on the rare off chance that apparently jitae didn’t want to e around, and minsu was allowing him free reign of being in consciousness, it let lux wander around on his own for once and actually go and see people, or even go to class– not that lux was actually up to that considering that it was in no way a fun class, and for a reason that he never really grasped, the professors never really seemed all that happy upon finding out that it was him they’d be dealing with over the other two. and here lux didn’t think he was that difficult to deal with.
either way, by midday at lunch time, he found himself wandering around the cafeteria that could now host both the high schoolers and the college kids ( something that was still a little weird was being around so many younger kids, before he remember that technically he did look their age– ). and it was when he walked in there and grabbed a coffee that he spotted a familiar face, making a smile ( almost smirk ) creep onto his lips. “daewon-ah!” the male called with that same smile, making his way to take the seat across from him. “bet you missed me?” well.. lux wasn’t really sure when the last time he’d been the one talking to the misfit.. so? @ksdaewon
Although the food at keisung’s cafeteria was not the best, Daewon found himself there when he was too busy or too tired to go to the bbq place he worked at. At least they were nice enough to let him eat there at a reduced price that he could afford but today he was in no mood to go out of campus. He had been in keisung long enough to know which dishes were better though and that was what he had chosen for lunch. He wondered where his two best friends were as he ate but of course, before he could think too much about it, someone was calling his name. A wide smile appeared on the misfit’s face when he realized who it was and at the question, he could only laugh.
Maybe it was because he had met the other for a while or the fact that the other two alters didn’t talk to him as freely as Lux but Daewon was able to figure out that the one in front of him was Lux. He couldn’t say that he wasn’t surprised when he heard about the situation but he tried to think of it as three people in one body. You never knew who you were getting unless you talked to them but at least for what he had seen all of them were nice people. “Of course I did but not let that make your ego bigger than it already is.” He joked as he moved his hand to ruffle Lux’s hair before he noticed that the other was only carrying a cup. “Aren’t you going to eat anything?”
kstian
he wasn’t surprised that it was the first time he had heard his name. it was not like there were a lot of tian’s walking around korea. it was more common back home, but he wasn’t going to mention that. seemed pretty pointless to say, not to mention it was somewhat obvious as well. “well, now you have,” he just offered with a small smile, though it was gone almost as soon as it had appeared, “but it’s nice to meet you too.” he supposed, he didn’t really think this was some special meeting, but at least was someone nice and not someone else who wanted to wanted to make fun of him. or try and turn him to the ‘dark side’. “i don’t actually have anything else to do,” he admitted after a moment with a small shrug of his shoulder, “but don’t let me keep you from your food.”
The misfit simply nodded as the other spoke because there wasn’t anything he could add to that but when Tian told him that he didn’t have anything else to do, he wanted to invite him to do something. Of course, the younger had already declined his offer to go get food and when he spoke again, the thought of inviting him again evaporated. “All right, well, see you around then.” He offered the other a smile and then headed to the cafeteria.
are you going to the ball w anyone you cutie you
“Ha, you are sweet and yes, I am going with Lux. He didn’t have anyone to go with and neither did I so we decided to go together.”
