ksjungrin:
“thank you,” jungrin said sarcastically, noticing how reluctant the guy had been to make space for her. recognition dawned upon her as she stepped closer to the shelf, and as a result closer to the guy - who she now recognized as tristan’s boyfriend, hyuksoo. the two of them had never talked - at least jungrin didn’t think so, though there was a possibility they had and she’d just forgotten about it - and only knew about each other because of tristan. she rolled her eyes at his question, not even dignifying it with a response. instead, she got on her tiptoes and reached for the book, successfully retrieving it from the shelf. “i’m not that short,” she said, giving him a smug smile as she placed the book in her bag. “you’re tristan’s boyfriend, right? hyuksoo.” she was almost certain he definitely did not want to start a conversation with her, and would be happier if she just left right away, but jungrin had never been the type of person who could shy away from starting a conversation with someone.
Hyuksoo shrugged before taking his seat again after seeing that she didn’t really need help with the book. He was going to offer help but Keisung didn’t like help much and he couldn’t be bothered to change that at all. He briefly recognised her solely because she was in the same clique as Tristan and—shit she’s friends with Ryosuke. Because of course she had to be friends with his ex. He couldn’t understand why, in god’s name, he was always forced to interact with people associated with Ryosuke. “Yes,” he answered a little warily before choosing to ignore her instead. “Ji Hyuksoo. I’d say I know your name but that would be lying.” And sure he sounded like an asshole, but he didn’t really know her name at all and there wasn’t any point skirting around it. “Did you need something? Do you need Tris?”
