I'd rather die--! [open/intro]
A sigh laced with melancholy escaped the lips of Mizuki as she went on with her normal business without giving her actions a second thought. As far as she was concerned, not much mattered right now bar keeping herself alive and well. Sure, her body was better than ever thanks to the Doctor’s efforts however, her usually bright and optimistic personality was shot to high heaven, causing her to feel detached from the society building up around her.
Basically, all she did was work and sleep and that suited her fine. Her quiet job in the library allowed her to compose her thoughts calmly and privately without voicing her concerns. The adolescent didn’t want to bring down anyone around her after all.
Returning to the public gardens, which were her favourite spot in the city, Mizuki began to wander around to look for a quiet spot to relax in peace. The girl decided upon venturing to the outskirts of the park in the hopes that she won’t disturb any passer-bys or patrons. Nestling among the foliage there was comfortable as well.
Yes, she knew just the bench to vacate to as well.
Well, that’s what she thought until she saw a figure before her who seemed to be having a crisis of their own. Perhaps they were new and needed help? It…would be rude to ignore them, regardless of how she was feeling.
Twirling a rose lock around her slender finger, she began to approach the person before a fist collided with her. Well damn. A squeal escaped her throat and tears started to stream down her face. Mizuki kept her head down to avoid eye contact with the stranger, but a familiar voice called out to her. Nah….it can’t be.
With her face still parallel to the ground, she answered in a small murmur, hiccuping every so often as she held back tears, “I-it’s fine. And I’ll be alright, it’s just a little sore. But, do I know you from somewhere?” A nervous chuckle punctuated her question before she continued, “That can’t be right though. I’m sorry.”
"Ah.. Oh my.." Kubo's eyes widened when he saw the long pink hair and heard the soft voice he knew so well. The one that was also trying to get his Yoshii's attention he might add! "Mizuki, is that you? It's me, Toshimitsu Kubo from class 2-A! Are you sure you're alright?"
He was genuinely concerned, however his rivalry with Mizuki and yet another female hungry for Yoshii's attention stopped him from being 'too' concerned for her. Maybe she was actually alright and he could leave so that he can think about his love in peace without any interruptions.
Too bad he was too nice to let a poor lady fall like that and leave her alone.. She was about to cry for God's sake!
Kubo held out a hand in front of her, signaling for her to grab on so that he may pull her up.
"Is anything broken? Have I hit somewhere sensitive? Once again, I deeply apologize! But I guess I was.. Erm.. Thinking too hard to realize!" He sighed, feeling slightly embarrassed for himself. What do normal people do in situations like this? He just had no idea. It's not like someone goes around hitting people in the face or whatever everyday!
"But really, if anything is really wrong please tell me so I can feel bad and do something!"
