Important thing to remember about intervening in abuse in general. Any actions taken by others to hold the abuser accountable WILL be taken out on the victim and not the person doing the confronting. Do not confront an abuser about their actions unless you know for absolute certain that you can protect their victim from the fallout.

Pedophilia is a problem deserving of help, but not a problem deserving of pride or public platforms. If someone finds themselves attracted to minors, positivity, acceptance, and the normalization of pedophilia aren’t going to help them. And more seriously, it is going to bring harm to minors.

Fostering an accepting, positive environment for pedophiles so they can pat themselves on the back and congratulate themselves on not being one of the “bad ones” normalizes their attraction to minors, understates its severity, and provides no incentive for change. It leaves them at a standstill where positive progress and healing become impossible.

Not only that, but pedophiles using public social media platforms to normalize their attraction exposes minors to it, something they constantly reassure us they are trying to prevent.

Pedophilie positivity is reckless and dangerous. It makes pedophiles think that being that way is okay. It makes MINORS think that pedophiles being the way they are is okay. It provides pedophiles with excuses and palliative self assurance that will prevent them from getting proper help and WILL lead them to harm minors.

Do not normalize pedophilia, condemn it. Do not allow anyone to think that pedophilia is anything but wrong, disgusting, and reprehensible. Acceptance isn’t the answer, and pedophile’s feelings are not the priority. The priority is and always will be protecting minors. Period.

Today we learned what happens when a professional photographer, who often works on newborn baby photoshoots, gets a brand new kitten. That’s right, Newborn Kitten Photoshoot! Michigan-based photographer Kitty Lee, of Kitty Lee Photography, shot these painfully cute photos of her tiny kitten, Luna, sleepy and swaddled just like a human baby.

These photos received such an overwhelmingly positive response on Facebook that Kitty Lee decided to create an entire Luna Kitten Calendar, including never-before-seen photos, with all the proceeds benefitting a local animal rescue, Save A Stray, in St. Joseph, MI.

This Sunday's Parade Showed The Less Tolerant Side of Pride

Immigrants rights activists were physically and verbally attacked while staging a peaceful protest.

“As Trans Queer Pueblo explained to New Times on Friday, their message was a simple one: They want Pride to be inclusive and stand up for the rights of LGBT undocumented immigrants.

That means getting rid of the police float, refusing corporate sponsorships from banks that have funded immigration detention centers, and using the group’s political influence to lobby against laws that predominantly affect LGBT people of color.

The response was ugly. Parade attendees shouted racial slurs, pushed and shoved protesters, and attempted to start physical fights. Others chanted “Get out of our Pride” and “Go home.” Groups of bystanders booed as the protesters began marching down the parade route.”

“We went in with an understanding what we were in a safe place where our concerns were going to be taken seriously,” Dagoberto Bailon, Trans Queer Pueblo’s general assistant, says. “But we were greeted by Pride immediately calling the police, which caused a lot of fear since many of us are undocumented.”
