Wish Fulfilling Ganesha Mantras with meaning
Lord Ganesha, also known as Vighnaharta (remover of obstacles) is worshipped first in any religious ceremony. There are various Lord Ganesha mantras that are chanted in religious ceremonies and are known tobringimmense benefits. Acharya Kunal Kumar lists some important Ganesha Mantras with meaning:
1. Ganesha Mantra Stuti: वक्रतुंडमहाकायसूर्यकोटि समप्रभ।निर्विघ्नंकुरुमेदेवसर्वकार्येषुसर्वदा॥
Meaning:“Oh! Lord (Ganesha), of huge body and curved elephant trunk, whose brilliance is equal to billions of suns, always remove all obstacles from my endeavors.”
2. गजाननंभूतगणादिसेवितंकपित्थजंबूफलचारुभक्षणम् ।उमासुतंशोकविनाशकारकंनमामिविघ्नेश्वरपादपङ्कजम् ॥
Meaning:“Salutations to Lord Ganesha who has an elephant head, who is attended by the band of his followers, who eats his favorite wood-apple and rose-apple fruits, who is the son of Goddess Uma, who is the cause of destruction of all sorrow. And I salute to his lotus feet.”
3. सुमुखश्चैकदंतश्चकपिलोगजकर्णकः।लम्बोदरश्चविकटोविघ्ननाशोगणाधिपः।धूम्रकेतुर्गणाध्यक्षोभालचन्द्रोगजाननः।द्वादशैतानिनामानियःपठेच्छृणुयादपि।विद्यारंभेविवाहेचप्रवेशेनिर्गमेतथा।संग्रामेसंकटेचैवविघ्नस्तस्यनजायते॥
Meaning: “Sumukha, Ekadanta, Kapila, Gajakarnaka, Lambodara, Vikata, Vighnanaasha, Ganaadhipa, Dhuumraketu, Ganaadhyaksha, Bhaalachandra, Gajaanana - No obstacles will come in the way of one who reads or listens to these 12 names of Lord Ganesha at the beginning of education, at the time of marriage, while entering or exiting anything, during a battle or calamity.”
4. शुक्लाम्बरधरंदेवंशशिवर्णंचतुर्भुजम्।प्रसन्नवदनंध्यायेत्सर्वविघ्नोपशान्तये॥
Meaning:“In order to remove all obstacles, one should meditate on (the Lord Ganesha) as wearing a white garment, as having the complexion like the moon, and having four arms and a pleasant countenance.”
5. मूषिकवाहन्मोदकहस्तचामरकर्णविलम्बितसूत्र।वामनरूपमहेश्वरपुत्रविघ्नविनायकपादनमस्ते॥
Meaning:“Oh God who has the mouse as his vehicle, and the sweet modhaka (rice ball) in your hand, whose ears are wide like fans, wearing the sacred thread. Oh son of Lord Shiva who is of short stature and who removes all obstacles, Lord Vinayaka, I bow at your feet.”
6. धनसमृध्दियशवैभवसुखशांतिप्राप्तिहेतुअनुकूलमंत्र :
|| ॐश्रीगणेशायनमःॐ || ॐगंगणपतयेनम: ॐअग्रण्येनम: ||
7. गणेशगायत्री:ॐ एकदन्तायविद्धमहे, वक्रतुण्डायधीमहि, तन्नोदन्तिप्रचोदयात्॥
Meaning:“We pray to the one with the single-tusked elephant tooth who is omnipresent. We meditate upon and pray for greater intellect to the Lord with the curved, elephant-shaped trunk. We bow before the one with the single-tusked elephant tooth to illuminate our minds with wisdom.”
8. लक्ष्मीविनायकमंत्र - रोजगारकीप्राप्तिवआर्थिकवृद्धिकेलिए
