And so they began to ice-skate together across the pond, holding hands. And while Jack almost fell at least three more times, he always managed to right himself just at the last moment.
"I think I'm getting the hang of it," he declared.
"And you, Sally..." He looked at her with admiration. "You are a natural."
There are actually two hearts in the picture. One is... metaphorical? You have to look real hard and mentally put it together. The other is "easier" to find. Let me know if you guys find them :)
If Aang isn’t 112, then Shadow isn’t 50, cryo freezing characters is a very common trope to put them in new timelines without having them age through the time skip
*SMALL SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T READ SALLY'S LAMENT*
I wanted to sketch this lovely scene. If anyone can cure my art block I believe it is them. I'll get back to drawing Shadamy, but for now, they're pushing me forward on the roll again.

I hope you guys like it. It's what I think might happen? I dunno. My friend who's not a sonic fan read it beforehand and said she liked it. Enjoyy~ *runs away*
The sound of metal clashing against metal could be heard in the meadow, as well as the sound of a small jet booster. Frenzied footsteps could be heard, panting and swooshing air.
A: Stop running and fight me!
Amy destroys two more Metal copies Without breaking her stride. The blue robot looks back at her before turning forward and blasting off into the forest. Amy growled, brows furrowing and gripped her hammer tighter.
A: COWARD!
Amy ran even faster, half tempted to remove her bracelets or have her hammer go back to her chaos space briefly. But she came to neither option. The pink hedgehog came to a skittering halt. She let out a chuckle. So, that comment seemingly got under into its circuits. Metal let out a few beeps, flexing its claws. Amy Soon heard Metal copies surrounding them. One glance around told her all she needed to know.
A: Really? *head tilt* more copies? I'll destroy them easily. Without help.
Metal's red eyes narrowed, understanding and taking the bait she casted. The pink hedgehog wanted a fight with him? Fine. She would get her fight. He held out a metal hand, effectively halting the hoard. He looked back, seeing her smirk.
A: Finally.
She swung her hammer, holding it with both hands instead of one and got into stance. Metal was analyzing the fastest way to take her down when he got another chaos energy reading. He glanced in the direction of the reading, before looking back at Amy and blasting off. He'd finish her later. He had to see what this new reading was.
A: H-hey!
The hoard of Metal copies followed suit. Amy tched, going with her first plan. Her hammer disappeared and she took off. Evening became night and she was able to catch up to them
But it seemed like they were too focused on their new target - a blue hedgehog. Curiousity piqued her. A blue hedgehog? Could he be...? She heard him talk to Metal, only ticking him off. Amy watched as his eyes narrowed; the only warning Metal gave as the hoard buzzed to life. They all flew, rearing to attack all at once. Her brows furrowed again.
A: Not if I can help it.
Amy summoned her hammer and leapt as the copies zeroed in on the blue hedgehog who stared around him in shock.
She threw her hammer before they could strike, a pink trail of chaos energy left in its wake. It destroyed all of the copies effectively, coming back to her. Just one Metal left. The blue hedgehog had stood dumbfounded, watching her hammer. So he didnt notice Metal coming up behind him. Giving a small twirl in the air, she readied herself to smash Metal. The explosion was small, but still strong enough that the blue hedgehog was blown away a small distance.
Amy couldn't help the smirk that came onto her muzzle.
A: *Whispering * like I said. Easily, without help.
She watched the glowing red eyes blink a few times before fading away. She heard a small gasp and looked up. The blue hedgehog shifted and stared at her incredulously.
S: What?! Who are you?
Amy lifted her hammer, nonchalantly, resting it on her shoulder, pulling back her hood. Just as she opened her mouth to respond, voices shouted out in the now silent forest.
K & T: SONIC!
Amy gasped, looking back in the direction of the voices. Her jade gaze looked back at the blue hedgehog still on the ground. She watched as he slightly shook his head, almost as if asking her not to go. She let out air through her nose and pressed her lips together.
Amy wasn't ready to trust whoever these people were. Her grip tightened on her hammer as she pulled her hood back on and dashed away, leaving a trail of pink chaos energy behind.
S: WAIT!
Sonic got up and outstretched a hand to the direction she left in. He was about to go after her when Knuckles and Tails entered the clearing.
K: hedgehog, you took us far from home.
T: woah, Sonic, what happened here? Are you okay?
Sonic let out a sigh before turning to look at them. Now that he wasn't in eminent danger, he better assesed the clearing. At least twenty robots were smashed, not including the one he exchanged words with. Twenty one in total.
S: I was ambushed? It was strange, the robots resembled me.
Knuckles walked forward to him, giving a small look of approval.
K: Well hedgehog, you proved your worth and fought with honor.
Sonic shook his head.
S: That's the thing! I could have easily taken them down, so to speak, but someone beat me to it. She beat them like it was taking a chilidog from a baby! And you guys scared her away!
Tails and Knuckles looked at each other.
T: well, *looks back at Sonic* who was it? A girl?
S: She looked like me-- a hedgehog. A pink, hammer weilding hedgehog. She destroyed all of these robots-- it was like the fourth of July here.
K: And what's this fearsome warriors name?
Sonic let out an exasperated sound.
S: That's the thing, you scared her off just was she was going to tell me! She ran off a few seconds before you arrived.
Tails look at him and walked up to him, taking a small flashlight and peered into his eyes.
T: I think the explosions may have affected you.
S: what?! Tails, no! *Sonic swats away Tails' hands and walks over to the last robot that was destroyed* here's the proof! One hammer sized dent in the ground and robot!
Both of his companions came closer an tried to see what he was seeing, but only saw the small twitches and buzzing from the robot.
K: Come on, hedgehog. Time to go home.
S: But! I've gotta know, Knuckles!
Knuckles picked up Sonic and began to run back home, Tails following suit.
Amy watched from a far off tree the entire exchange. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, huh?
So... we can all agree I'm a dummy, right? Currently it's a Google doc, and I'm trying to figure out how to post it on AO3 with the pictures I made so you guys can enjoy-- how do I do it??
I apologize for the inactivity! I've been busy with the Sakura Shadamy 2025 these last few weeks. I finished writing, now I'm making a few drawings to go along with it. Who knows, the thought of making it into a comic later on crossed my mind. Anywho, have a small wip, I hope you see you guys soon with the finished product!❤️
Apologies for not posting! I was really sick these last two weeks, I still have a bit of a cough but I'm feeling much better. I've started putting together my blind Amy fanfic, have a small spoiler in compensation~

Demon Shadow stumbles across a mermaid who's been trapped for thousands of years in a magical cave.
○○○
"Why is that cave blocked?"
Rouge looked over at him, without having to look which cave he was referring to. "It's a cursed cave."
Shadow's brows twitched as she said that. "We're demons. Nothing will be more cursed than we are."
Rouge chuckled, throwing away the nail file she was using. "Look, Shadzy boy. Its cursed for even us demons. Reports of demons disappearing in that cave have gone on for millenia. Now those iron gates are a reminder of what used to be, and as cruel demons can be, are to save other demons. Now come on, we gotta go. I've an echidna to go bother." Her blue eyes glowed gold as she mentioned Knuckles and she flew away.
Shadow watched her until she disappeared. He looked back at the ominous cave entrance. If there was one thing he hated, it was not knowing things. He flexed his claws, his first attempt at breaking the gate would be slashing them. However, whoever made these gates must've known demons would try to break it, for his claws didn't leave a mark. He growled, quills bristling and his marks glowed. Shadow got on all fours as he felt the energies in the air. Storm clouds gathered as he dug his claws into the rocky ground. "CHAOS... CONTROL!"
Lightning flashed as he teleported from outside the cave into it. His fur was singed, the gate itself smoking a little. Whatever curses demons put on it fought against him, but he was not a weakling. He scoffed and walked into the cave.
It didn't seem cursed to him, and demons would not so easily die. He did, however, find ehat used to be tunnels. Rock had fallen down several of them blocking the way in. He walked over and touched them. Shadow felt the faint demonic energy. So, demons did die here. He would not be the next one. He was about to walk back when he saw another opening, this one further back.
The midnight colored hedgehog walked over to it, putting his hand against the rock. His fur stood on end as he felt- "Magic?" He looked to the inside of the entrance. It was long and dark, but warm with magic. What was the reason.
He began to walk in, wondering what could be at the end of the entrance. Another world? The mobian world? An alternate universe? Shadow kept walking for half an hour when he paused. "Am I even getting anywhere?" He asked himself. He shook his head and was about to turn around when he heard a voice.
His head snapped back to where the voice came from. Was that a woman singing? He heard it again, a haunting melody and the sound of water splashing. Energy renewed, he ran to the source. Soon, a blue light began to illuminate the rocky walls and the floor was wet. He slowed down and let out a gasp as something flew past the exit.
"When will I see the rays of the sun?
When will I walk the ground uneven?
Thousands of years, these walls have seen me cry--"
The blue light turned red and water crashed against the cave walls. Shadow inched forward, his eyes widening at the sight. It was a mermaid. She had rose colored fur and her tail glowed, the colors of a rainbow shimmering against her scales. She was currently facing away from him, but soon turned and continued to sing, until her gaze landed on him.
"It's enough to drive me mad-"
They stared at each other. His heart pounded in his chest. She's beautiful... "A demon?" Shadow blinked. She didn't look angry, rather, confused? Surprised? "It's been many years since Isaw one of your kind."
Shadow's brows furrowed, crossing his arms against his chest. "My kind? So you're responsible for the disappearances?"
She shook her head, floating away from him. "No. I've met many of your kind, thousands of years ago. They all got lost in the tunnels after they met me and promised to come back and set me free. These passages are enough to drive someone mad," her tail flicked, punctuating her sentence.
"Lost?"
She sighed, swimming closer to him. "I'm sure you've felt it, there is magic here. This magic is older than this mountain. One day, this point was the lowest point of the sea. An underwater volcano, now dormant, covered this area in lava forming the mountain. However, the magic prevented the lava from completely covering it."
"That doesn't explain why you're here or the disappearances."
"I'm trapped," she look at him, her eyes flashing red. "Pirates from long ago had a wizard cast a mermaid trap. One where they wouldn't completely die nor escape-- until they were retrieved." She looked at the entrance, eyes turning red with anger. She swam to the entrance as fast as she could to only collide with an invisible wall, water splashing everywhere. Gold particles exploded in the cave. She let out an exasperated breath as she collapsed against the floor. "Many demons like you have entered and left, but the magic is smart. If it learns the intentions of the person entering, it allows that person to enter and leave once. If that person comes back, it distorts the tunnels, making them lost."
Shadow watched as she covered her ears, a fearful expression on her face. "Hearing their screams echoing throughout the mountain as boulders crushed them..." She wrenched her eyes shut. "A storm pushed me to the depths of this cave, thousands of years ago. I haven't been able to escape. You should go, too, and never come back."
Shadow looked down. It was sad, almost. The mermaid didn't seem bad. She was lonely and in solitude for millenia. And it seemed like she wasn't the one directly responsible for the disappearances. He sighed, walked over to her and crouched down. "I'm Shadow. Are you ready to see the outside world again?"
She looked up at him, her eyes sparkling as she realized what he meant. "Really?"
He shrugged, holding out his hand. "It wasn't your fault those demons died. But its up to you if you chose to keep hearing those screams echoing."
She looked at his clawed hand before her gaze met his. She smiled at him, raising her hand. "My name is Amy."
Amy is into fixing cars and the adrenaline that come with driving them and Shadow finds out. She invites him to a car show she's going to and he agrees.
○○○
She thumped her fingers against the steering wheel. Maybe taking a back road wasn't a good idea. She thought it was going to get her to the car show sooner but it was about the same time as the regular route. Amy sighed, leaning against the door. The gentle rumble, as well as the rocking back and forth of her car assured her it would be okay, MJ and Bon Jovi in the background however made it feel the opposite. "Well. I should get going."
She reached over for the gear shift when she heard a rumble next to her. "Amy?"
That... that voice. She turned again and there he was. She felt her cheeks heating up. "Shadow! Hey!" She lifted herself slightly from her seat and poked her head out, smiling at the midnight colored hedgehog.
"You..." He eyed the pontiac and she could see the ever so faint look of admiration. "Uh..."
Amy chuckled, "at a loss for words? That's a little surprising coming from you." She gave him a teasing smile and he scoffed, letting go of one of the handle bars and leaning against the cycle.
"Not when I'm with you." Now it was Amy's turn to get stumbled. Shadow smirked as her eyes danced back and forth, her cheeks becoming rosy. "Anyways, is this a rental...?"
That caught her attention. "Excuse me?" She feigned hurt, putting a hand against her chest, shyness gone. "You wound me so, Ultimate Lifeform. This is no rental-- this is my beloved baby!" Along with a few others at home. She took silent pride as she watched Shadow’s pupils dilate a smidge as she revealed that piece of information.
"You're kidding," he said at last, giving her a smirk and raising a brow. Oh, Gaia, was he handsome when he did that-
The pinkette shook her head, smiling. "Not at all, I love to work on cars. It's not common knowledge though, only Tails and Knuckles know that I do it. They come over every now and then to watch, offer advice or help. Now you know too, I suppose. It's kind of my... little get away." She looked to the dash of the Judge and gave it a small rub. She wasn't opposed to Shadow knowing she worked on cars, but she wasn't ready, well, prepared to share that slice of life with him, a little afraid she was going to ruin the image he had of her.
"That's great," came his voice. Her brows shot up in surprise and she looked at him. His crimson eyes held a warmth that rivaled the hot day, making her heart melt. "Maybe one day I'll call you for help if I ever need it with Dark Rider. Or if I just want to see you in action."
Shadow watched as her face brightened up, leaning back out the window. "Anytime! You're always welcome Shadow. I love spending time with you--! Ah!" Amy yelped in surprise as her phone began to ring, she apologized to Shadow and quickly answered. "Uh, yeah? About... Twenty? Maybe ten if I step on it? Okay, calm down, calm down. See you in a bit."
Amy sighed as she hung up and put her phone down. "Sorry, I gotta go." She offered him a sheepish smile. "That was my friend, Rusty. He's a car junkie, like me. He's waiting on me."
Shadow felt his ear twitch and his left hand gripped the handlebar a little tighter. "Oh? Where to?"
"To a car-- hey!" Shadow jumped at the sudden loudness that came from her, but she looked even happier. "Come with me! My car is going to be in a car show, there will be sports cars, muscle," she patted her car, "and motorcycles! What do you say, Shadow? We could even..."
Amy gave him a mischievous smile and the pontiac's engine rumbled in warning, "have a small race there." Shadow watched her, this fluttering feeling in his stomach growing, jealousy forgotten. He returned her smile, inching forward.
"Alright, Rose. Let's go." Amy smiled and blushed hearing him call her Rose.
Amy smiled, leaning back and lightly grabbed the gear shift, jiggling it back and forth ever so slightly. "Do you need a head start?"
Shadow chuckled and revved his motorcycle. "You'll pay the consequences for that," Shadow replied, and Amy met his gaze evenly, no signs of adoration in her gaze. This new side of her excited him, albeit as unexpected as it was.
"Oh, I can't wait to see." The last thing Shadow saw was the rose colored hedgehog winking before leaving him in a cloud of dust. He smirked, turning the handle bars and taking off. Oh, he couldn't wait either.
Amy turned super after her friends were injured and she stepped up. As she was giving up after receiving a hard blow, Shadow catches her, ready to murder someone.
