Our ElMax Cosplay ❤️💛
This post created a lot of (predictable) controversy on Reddit so I wanted to clear up some misconceptions:
-The second image is a gag based on a popular meme. The cosplayer featured and myself aren’t even touching mouths
-My Max cosplay is based on her pre-graduation outfit shown in the epilogue. Considering El never got that chance, we chose her finale costume. In this AU, they’re both 18
-We acknowledge the canon ships and events, but (like many) were dissatisfied with the ending so we shot an impromptu wlw scenario during Pride for fun 👭

My contribution to pollendotberrys DTIYS Challenge on twitter. I tried to sprinkle in a pinch of Sumiko Arai's style. I bet you guys know why.

Rating 2000's Dystopian Novels
The Hunger Games- The Dystopian novel to start it all. I love how dark these books are with interesting characters and impactful themes. I read these in 6th grade which was probably too young but I remember really enjoying it.
2. The Maze Runner- This was one of the rare Dystopian books to not come off as a complete Hunger Games rip off. I love the writing in these books although my favorite book was The Kill Order. Anything with zombies is bound to be good.
3. The Selection- Looking back at these books they...weren't great. Still at the time I read them (middle school) I remember liking them. I think the fashion descriptions were the best part. It was fun to redraw all of the cover art.
4. Divergent- I remember getting this book for easter and being so disappointed. Then I found out it was written by a 20 year old. It wasn't terrible but the sentences were choppy. The series was like a soda that gradually got filled with more and more water each book.
5. Matched- These books had an interesting concept and the writing was effective without being too flourishy. However, the stakes weren't particularly intense and the romantic plot made it feel lackluster. Not to mention the stock image esque cover art.
Shatter Me- I have several reasons to hate this book but the cover art is not one of them. It was actually the reason why I picked up these books in the first place. Unfortunately, Shatter Me proved to be a huge let down with a Mary Sue protagonist. The worst part was that I didn't even finish this series and left it on an airplane. I PAID 20 DOLLARS FOR THIS MEDIOCRE ASS BOOK.
Love it when people are like hey meet my pet Frisky and you’re expecting a dog or cat but instead it’s a blind naked mole rat with three legs and kidney disease
