It would be pretty stupid to not take advantage of it, yes. Happy? Well, I do love my job. It is a great feeling to help bringing others stories to life. So for now, I am quite content, I guess.

I know. My brother, the perfectionist, haha! Alright, then come over. I do havve some selfmade chocolate cake if you want some.

If you love your job, then that’s all that matters. One must look after number 1.

Perfectionist? Hah. I wouldn’t call myself a perfectionist. I just want things to be in order, but I, just like everybody else, sometimes just don’t have the time or energy to keep up with the life style. And in this case, my apartment is a mess.

I suppose you are right. I do have the opportunity of meeting influential people during premiers and all that. Pretty useful contacts indeed. A while ago Judge Brown visited. Talked to him for quite a while. Nice guy.

Exactly. You meet important people every now and then, and it would be a pity if you didn’t used your position to get somewhere in life. Unless, you know... You are happy where you are right now.

I mean, I wouldn’t mind having you here, it’s just that I haven’t cleaned yet, and it feels wrong inviting anyone when I don’t have things in order.

As long as you love what you do and you are happy. I really just want you to be happy. Well…not on stage in the spotlight. As stage manager. So yeah. But I am pretty awesome at my job.

But still. That’s what I call “putting yourself out there”. No matter what you plan to do with your life - you are out there and getting yourself contacts, and everybody knows that if you want to be somebody nowadays, you gotta have contacts.

No, I am tjust stating how it is. You are incredibly talented, Kurt. I hope that one day you will do what you truly love. Me? Putting myself out there? Nah, not really. I am the guy in the background.

Mess with my time? You wouldn’t though. You know that I will always be in your corner, right? No matter if we had a fight or not.You are my brother and I will always be on your side. No questions asked, no matter what.

I am doing what I truly love right now. I’m working at this boutique, which sort of combines my interests of design and fashion. Seriously? You said you’re going to be a part of a musical. I say, that is how you put yourself out there.

... How come I have such an amazing brother? I do not deserve this.

Yepp. And the kid got pretty good. Well, you were really talented regarding that. No matter what you touched - music istruments, acting, singing - you always were so very good. Still are. If you miss it you should start with it again.

Then an evening being taken care of could do you good. But I get what you mean. And it would be a pleasure, you kow that.

You are giving me way too much praise right now. And yet, you are that one who puts yourself out there. I enjoy and like the artistic life, but nowadays, it has become more of a hobby. 

I mean, it’s not like I would mind it, I just.. eh, it’s difficult to explain. It would feel like I would be messing with your time. Although, if you would be up for meeting up, maybe I could get a chance to apologise to you face to face...? It doesn’t feel very right to do it like this..

I kow…I know you weren’t. And yeeah, hopefully. I do like classical music after all. Another child inn the house gets piano lessons. I do enjoy these. Last week they rehearsed the moonlight sonata.

Tired? Not sleeping well, I suppose? If you want I can come over and cook moms chicken soup and make some hot milk with honey for you after. Maybe that will help?

Piano lessons, huh? Kind of makes me wish I continued with them.. At least playing the piano as a beginner doesn’t sound as terrible as a beginner trying to play the violin.

Oh no, no - my sleeping schedule is alright. I’m just quite exhausted and tired in general, you know? You don’t have to.. But actually.. I kind of wanted to apologise.

I didn’t expect the kid to play perfectly by now. And I wasn’t blaming the child at all. But…yeah. Maybe you are right and I should be more patient. I actually wanted to buy myself a new pair of noise muffling earphones anyway. My cat decided to chew up the cords of the one I had. Possibly out of revenge for the diet I put him on after the vet suggested it.

But anyway. How are you doing?

No, of course not - I wasn’t implying-.. Either way, within a few years, you will have a talented violinist for a neighbour. Hopefully.

Oh…well, hello. How long? I’d say around three months now. Give or take. I did think it would get better as well but there is not the slightest improvement. Don’t misunderstand me - not blaming the child. But I do blame the teacher.

Heh.. Hello. Three months only? From my point of view, the teacher isn’t he problem. Neither the child. Give them at a year, and if it still sounds terrible, then we can start and blaming the teacher. I mean, come on - the kid probably have a lesson once a week. Once a week in three months, that is 12 lessons. Nobody’s that good at first. Try to have some patience. And maybe get yourself a pair of earplugs.

Unless you’re born and raised in a big city, you will most likely never fully adapt to its beauties - such as the noises. I’m just going to assume you aren’t originally from here, because I know I’m not, and despite the fact that I need to use earplugs while sleeping, I like it here a lot more than what I did back home.

…I am all for teaching kids arts and to play instruments and all that. It is a great thing. Go parents who do these things! But I swear to god, the neighbours kid needs a new teacher because obviously the current one is incapable. That screeching isn’t playing the violin…it is torture that makes my ears bleed and causes a severe headache.

Really? That’s great! Where are you going? My work’s going pretty well. I have a couple of exciting projects I’m working on at the moment, so that always makes the hours fly by faster.

Well I don’t want to deal with you feeling guilty for helping me. So tell me know if you have any sort of strong feelings for Blaine. 

My motivation? Well, I want to be the best. On Broadway and off. And if it means exposing myself from atop the theater to deliver a message to a boy who believes he can hog my spotlight, well the hobbit in high heels has another thing coming.

You should know by now that I can possibly not have any emotional connections to a person I barley know. It’s waste of my time, and frankly, it’s a waste of their time as well. So it’s not like I would cry my eyes out if something happened to him. I could obviously not tell him, or anyone that, but that’s what acting in real life is good for.

Ah. Now, isn’t that adorable? Why not try and hog his actual part in the musical while you’re at it? Your motivation is jealousy.
