Be a sweetheart and send three people handmade presents <3 You've been hanging around in the morgue lately, right? You've got plenty of materials!
"Gee, I wonder if they'll enjoy that?"
Ask the character/mun: Ask the muse whatever you want for them to answer IC; or ask the mun a personal question to get to know better or to get an OOC answer.
Truth/Dare: Be reasonable with the dares! If you start getting ridiculous no one will want to do them; characters aren’t really obligated to do all the dares they receive. Don’t forget about the truth part as well!
Headcanon: Anons send the character a word, or a name and you may write a small/long headcanon about said word!
Drabbles: Give the muse a prompt and they may write a short drabble on it.
02; Love (or hate) Is In the Air [Open Event]
Lacus wasn’t particularly aware how her question could be taken. She never really paid attention to anything very intimate or the more sexual undertones of some phrases. Heck, the only ‘sexual’ thing she has ever done or though about was hugging someone.
And that’s it really. Lacus then began to finally notice Uryuu’s rather odd demeanor… Or rather, now he was allowing her to. He seemed rather restless and anxious and for the moment, she wasn’t sure why. However, as he arose from his chair, she knew.
She now knew that he had been stabbed with the lead tipped arrow; the look in eyes and the way he couldn’t control himself… Yes, she was certain it was the doing of the lead tipped arrow.
Lacus began to realize how helpless she was in this small room; in this room that she wouldn’t be able to escape fast enough from. Uryuu was in such a position that he could easily stop Lacus from making her way to the door, she that wouldn’t do. There weren’t any windows in this room, either. The gears in her head began to desperately turn to think of a plan when it finally happened.
For the first time in a long time, Lacus entered SEED mode. As she entered this state of heightened awareness, Lacus began to think more clearly and much faster than usual. So, when Uryuu started dashing towards Lacus, she did the only thing she could do to stop him.
She held out the golden tipped arrow she had been holding onto just as he was mere inches away from her and waited for its effects to kick in.
In a state of absolute rage, induced by the lead-tipped arrow, Uryuu simply had no control over his actions. Instead his body surrendered to the sheer power and hatred that had consumed it from the treatment. He had anticipated that the arrow would give him some form of superhuman strength, but never did he expect this much.
By the time it wore off, Uryuu would see the fruits of his experiment pay off. Until that moment, though, he would have to settle for his uncontrollable rage...
Being so clouded and out of control, however, left the often cautious and cunning susceptible to any sort of quick action. Ordinarily, it wouldn't matter - the way he felt now, Uryuu believed that not even impalement could stop his advance. Yet there was one thing that could stop everything, and unfortunately for Uryuu's plans Lacus had just stuck it through him: the golden tipped arrow.
Body thrashing, Uryuu desperately tried to finish the deed through the power of the lead-tipped arrow, yet the magic of the contradicting arrow prevented him from finishing the job. Instead, he slowed down more and more until he finally collapsed onto Lacus' floor.
Upon he opened his eyes, the first thing Uryuu saw was Mr. Pink. After seeing this, his body started to act up...
"Annnnnnd what do we have here?! Oh wow, you're really adorable - come here."
Uryuu, uncontrollably, began to nuzzle his cheek against the pink haro and show it affection which was completely out of character for him. Sitting cross-legged in the bedroom floor, completely oblivious to everything else, Uryuu picked up Mr. Pink and started to play with him like a child would play with its favourite toy.
He was completely consumed with the haro.
The Morgue - Open; 01
The other’s lunge was something barely-foreseen. A spur of the moment, impulsive action such as that was not something his ability gave him much fair warning of. However, it was to Charles’ luck that the other’s intention had been clear from the start. And so, he waited for the initial strike to pass by before daring to step into the room, one hand still settled snug in his pocked. Soon enough, he lowered the other hand to join it, regarding the other with a cool aura of calm that was perhaps marginally out of place in this setting. After all, it wasn’t every day you were threatened with a point-blank…scalpel.
“Forgive me, I did not mean to intrude. Although I do not regret doing so. One can never be too careful in this hospital.”
A coy smile played about the mutant’s features as he issued the words, regarding Uryuu with a sense of interest. He knew the other’s name by now, the depth of his determination, the direction of his moral compass due south. The small dive he’d taken into the other’s mind gave him all he needed to know: this man was dangerous. Even so, it was a blind trust that Charles placed in others, however foolish. But if things began to go sour…there was no better power to have than Charles’ own in the face of a crisis.
“To be honest, I find myself equally intrigued by the little investigation you have going on here.” The professor now spoke again as he advanced further into the room. The sight surely was something to behold…and the stench an entirely new wave of unpleasantry to behold. Extracting a handkerchief from his pocket, Charles shifted it over his nose and mouth as he examined the body left splayed out upon the table a little more closely, curiosity getting the better of him. He had to admit…discovering the true nature of this supposed ‘illness’ was also high on his list of priorities.
Blue eyes now shifted from the body as he took note of Uryuu once more, fully aware of the threat this man still posed. And so, he turned his back on the corpse, lowering the handkerchief to tuck back into his pocket once more as he regarded him with interest, gaze flickering now and then to the glimmer of the blade he still held aloft.
“We both want the same thing, Uryuu: the truth. So tell me…what exactly do you intend to do with that?” If it was a fight the other wanted, he would have one. Although, Charles reflected, when confronted with his own unique telepathic abilities…it was hardly a fair fight.
The coolness and composure the man walked in with only further suggested that this man was far from ordinary. To be within inches, no even CENTIMETRES, from death and still walk into a room composed - a friendly, if cunning, smile and relaxed posture. This man had either been in enough similar situations to leave him unfazed, or he was just very skilled in disguising his fear and surprise to make it seem as though none of the events that had just transpired had bothered him.
Either way this man was dangerous, and would provide a good fight to Uryuu...
Yet, what happened next astonished him. As if totally blindsiding the threat that Uryuu posed, the man simply continued walking into the room as if focused on his own task. He definitely knew Uryuu was there, was he setting a trap by acting as if he was leaving his guard down? He had said it himself, by looking into his mind - Uryuu was a dangerous person. Yet, it seemed as though he initially took to precautions: as if he knew Uryuu wouldn't attack him during what he did next.
Leaning back up against the wall, crossing his arms, Uryuu watched the stranger's every move cautiously as if he was anticipating a surprise attack. It was all but confirmed that he could read Uryuu's mind, what if he could also attack it. He might be able to make my brain blow up, like in some of those crazy psychic animes. Shit, how would I even see that coming?
However, the man's next course of actions actually put Uryuu at ease - you would even say that Uryuu was now curious in the man's nature. It appeared as though he had significant interest in the bodies and their cause of death, even going as far as to compliment Uryuu on his 'investigation.'
"What exactly do you intend to do with that?" Of course, Uryuu initially planned on stabbing the man before him, but now with his shared interest in death Uryuu couldn't bring himself to do it unless he posed an immediate threat...
"Heh, well I mean you can read my mind right? So you'd know that I was totally going to cut you up! But now, I mean you're interested in these bodies and all so I really can't bring myself to do that. After all, it's totally rare to meet someone else so interested in death!
"You see, I'm really love death and all. How it works, how to cause it, how different bodies react to it. I was hoping that by looking at these bodies, I could see how to incorporate how to use the infection in my own way - or at least come to an understanding of it!
"I mean cutting up people is fun and all but, uh, you could say I've 'been there, done that' so I was hoping I could learn something new from the infection these guys got here...
"But hey, dontcha' think it's fair to give me your name? It's kinda weird with you peeking into my brain and all, while I don't know anything!!"
02; Love (or hate) Is In the Air [Open Event]
Uryuu Ryuunosuke… Yeah, she definitely had never heard of him before. She started to wonder where exactly he was from, actually, because he acted a bit…
Well, he acted a bit different than anyone she had ever known and used very curious terminology, like “moe”. What is “moe”? Lacus started to wonder, releasing Mr.Pink from her grip and allowing him to reunite with his fellow haros. “ … My, that’s a rather odd thing to ask! “ is all she says for a moment, staring at him with an unfaltering smile. Of course the haros couldn’t kill anyone— well maybe they could if they bonked someone on the head enough, but they weren’t a threat to anyone.
He seemed a bit tense, too; why? Lacus wasn’t really sure, but she was growing a bit suspicious. She was naive, sure, but Lacus was by no means dumb. She decided, however, to let it pass unless something more noteworthy came into view. “ But no; the haros could never kill anyone! They like to talk and play… I’m sure if you played tag with them sometime, it would make them ever so happy! “ she smiles again, sitting down on her bed. Her hand holding the arrow, however, is still tucked behind her back. She wants to put it down somewhere that won’t be in plain view.
“ Are you tired? You’re welcome to use my bed for a rest until this whole thing tides over, “
Confirming that the haros couldn't harm anyone, Uryuu breathed a sigh of relief in his head. There was no way, once the effects of the lead-tipped arrow took hold of him, that this girl would be able to stop him. Before his very eyes, in his very own hands: he would see the true power of the treatments unleashed onto someone.
Her request made Uryuu blush a little, albeit it was the first time he had been offered a request THAT intimate. Sure, he had taken spare beds in houses where he posed as a homeless person or a tourist - but never before had someone offered him to sleep in their bed, albeit a woman.
"U-uuh that's ok, ma'am! It'll be just fine, don't worry about me!"
Just like before, though, without warning the powers of the arrow started to take control of Uryuu. His hands and legs started twitching as if his body was naturally trying to resist the spell within the lead-tipped arrow, but he knew in his mind that there was no chance.
And, with that, Uryuu's body ceased trembling and stood up firmly, knocking over the chair he sat on with the force of his rise...
He no longer had control of his body's actions. The only emotion he could feel was absolute disgust and hatred at the woman before him, Lacus. The same woman who brought him into her room under the pretense that he was being attacked by a wild patient. It could have been anyone else, she was just the unlucky one to be too generous.
With nothing but inhuman grunts, Uryuu's eyes shot up with bloodlust as he darted towards Lacus, his scalpel aimed right towards her neck.
02; Love (or hate) Is In the Air [Open Event]
Well, Lacus didn’t find that odd at all! After all, there were those dreadful lead tipped arrows flying about, so no doubt this man was in the eyesight of someone who was hit by one. Perhaps it was her pity that was clouding her better judgement, or maybe it was her naivete, but Lacus would let this man seek shelter in her room.
” That shouldn’t be a problem! “ she answers with a smile. Even if he was loud, it wouldn’t be a problem; she was used to the haros almost constant chiming and that didn’t bother her one bit. “ My name is Lacus Clyne! Is it alright if I ask for your name in return? “ she asks very politely, because even if the situation is dire, you should always be polite.
Or at least, that’s what Lacus thinks.
Lacus did realize, however, that she was still holding the golden tipped arrow. So, she promptly hides the hand that was holding the arrow behind her back; she didn’t wish to frighten the poor man by foolishly brandishing a weapon in front of him!
She notices that he’s holding out his pinky… Ah, a pink promise, perhaps? Lacus hadn’t had one of these in a long time, so she lets out a giggle as she shakes the other’s pinky with her own. After, she back up a bit to let Uryuu inside her room. ” In any case, welcome! I see the haros are very excited to see a new guest, too! “ the haros, however, don’t greet the new guest as they would with any other. In fact, they seem to quiet down a bit, their bounces becoming less frequent.
“ That’s odd! It’s not time for your naps yet! “ Lacus remarks, despite the haros being robots and not needing naps at all.
It was within his calculations - sure, Uryuu had lucked out finding a girl who seemed so innocent, but once he had he knew that getting access into her room wouldn't be an issue. She seemed like the trusting type, it's a shame that it would spell her downfall. Then again Uryuu had been in this situation numerous times: as a 'tourist with nowhere to stay' or a 'homeless person,' he had pulled this con plenty of times. It was an easy way, after all, to get up close to a target.
"O-oh uh, of course! My name is Uryuu Ryuunosuke, it's a pleasure to meet you!"
As Uryuu stepped forward and followed through with the pinky promise he had presented Lacus, he tilted his head to the side as he noticed that she still kept one hand behind her. Was she hiding something? She quickly postured up however, returning the hand that she shook with behind her body as well - it was probably how she stood when she greeted people, there was probably nothing to be concerned about. There was likely nothing she could do to stop him anyways once the lead-tipped arrow kicked in again...
When he walked in, Uryuu saw more robots balls like the pink one Lacus had with her when she greeted him - "haros" she called them. They looked friendly enough, but there was a large enough quantity that Uryuu started to question if they were really there to only just bounce around and look moe. Lacus was so innocent though - and Uryuu could usually see through people's guises.
Still, there was something not right about the situation. And soon enough he'd lose control of his body anyways, leaving his actions and results up to the fate of the treatment...
His body started to tremble, ever so slightly, Uryuu foresaw this as a bad omen and tried to keep his mind distracted:
'"So, what's the deal with all these bouncing balls you got around here? They look kinda moe - please don't tell me they actually kill people or something, ahaha."
02; Love (or hate) Is In the Air [Open Event]
Lacus wasn’t quite sure how to make of this situation. At first, she thought this was all some sort of joke. Lacus had not been around for the first treatment, so she had no idea what exactly Bethlehem Royal was capable of.
However, upon taking one step outside of her room, the reality of the situation came crashing down upon her. Peering around, Lacus could see people were chasing each other; some out of extreme affection, and some out of pure hatred. People were getting attacked left and right and unfortunately, there was nothing Lacus could do. She wanted to avoid any conflict and more importantly, she wanted to others to avoid getting hurt… Which unfortunately seemed impossible at this time.
What was she supposed to do? These people… They wouldn’t listen. If it was true that they were injected with some sort of virus that enhances their feelings for people; they wouldn’t listen to anyone.
So, Lacus decided it would be best to try and wait this out in her room… At least until this whole fiasco was over. Closing the door, Lacus heard an odd sound… Like the sound of something zooming by. Looking behind her, all she saw were the Haros, jumping about like they usually do.
Mr.Pink, however, seemed to be hopping around something. “ Mr.Pink, what’s that? “ she asked, holding out her hand for Mr.Pink to jump into. As she held him, she looked down to where he was hopping and, sure enough, there was an arrow lying there.
She guessed that it had hit Mr.Pink instead of its intended target (Lacus), and was now lying helplessly on the ground. Lacus picked it up, examining it but not daring the touch the golden tip.
As she continued to examine it, she heard a loud scream from outside her door. Fearing that an innocent bystander was being attacked, she quickly flung open her door to see that someone was right in front of her room. ” Oh my, are you alright? “ she asked them.
Since his arrival at Bethlehem Royale, Uryuu had been seeking for a way to harness the infection for personal "experimentation." Thus, when hearing that the new treatment would involve shooting arrows into patients, he eagerly volunteered to take part in the process. Some subjects kept themselves locked up in their rooms, afraid of what the uncontrollable effects would do to their emotions, yet Uryuu did everything within his power to hopefully be hit by a lead-tipped arrow.
Alas, no such luck found its way to the serial killer - and after a whole day of attempting to be hit by an arrow he still turned up empty...
Man, just my luck huh? All these people trying not to get hit and getting struck, while I can't catch a break...
Uryuu was showing signs of frustration: his plans for fun were being foiled by circumstances out of his control, and this only served as a buzzkill to his impulses. Sure he could just try to take someone out ordinarily like always, but his fascination with the infection contained within Bethlehem Royal - and the absurd treatments used to combat it - had seized his attention entirely. He wouldn't rest until he found some way to get in on the treatment.
That's when Uryuu's luck turned for the better, at least in his eyes it was.... Impaled into the wall, just staying there by itself: a lead-tipped arrow. Uryuu remembered the doctor's report, "patients can use stray arrows however they so please," and without second thought struck the arrow through his arm. That wasn't the end of that though, he needed to find somebody in order for the arrow's effect to take place.
The chaotic scene that dominated the halls of Bethlehem Royal had died down as it grew later into the day, most patients seeking refuge in their rooms to avoid being hit. Uryuu tried knocking on a few doors, but he never received a reply - people were smart enough, or most likely too scared, to open their doors due to the risk of encountering someone hit by an arrow. He would need to do something drastic to get the attention of someone....
"UWAHHHH!! Someone, help me. H-hey, get the hell back!"
Within moments, it had appeared that his his fake cries for help had reaped their benefits: the door he was infront of was unlocked and opened, and before him stood a young girl with pink hair enquiring about his health. Jackpot.
As soon as he saw her, however, something wasn't right. Uryuu felt impulses, violent ones, which were unusual for the situation he was in. Without any prompt, he felt hatred towards the girl before him - as if she had personally wronged him. In a second or two, the intent simply faded away. The grudge was totally unexplainable, and Uryuu himself was bewildered by what had happened: he expected the lead-tipped arrow's effects to provide a degree of hatred and rage, but what had just occurred was an extent which he never could have imagined.
Uryuu composed himself and spoke to the woman before him:
"O-oh yeah, hey I'm fine. Some crazy person was chasing me down the hallway with a knife, could you believe that!?! Anyways, I can't make it back to my room - it's way too far from here, so could you let me in until I'm sure it's clear? I promise I won't be loud!"
Uryuu childishly presented his pinky towards the girl in front of him, as if to shake her in a 'promise.' His innocent smile and demeanor hid his true intentions, under the influence of the arrow or not, and while distracting her eyes with the pinky shake he slid his foot inbetween the door and the doorframe, so that it was too late for her to shut him out.
One way or another, Uryuu was going to enter the girl's room. And the end result would be the same...
The Morgue - Open; 01
To move around without the cover of darkness would be risky for someone up to no good. And with the constant reminder of the bar code in play, Charles could not deny that curfew would put quite the limitation on any investigation. As such, he too had been forced to take matters into his own hands while the sun was still rather high in the sky. He needed the opportunity to examine this hospital, to learn their tricks. How had they managed to put a cap on the mutants’ powers? This alone was worth the full devotion of his time. However…he only had so much he could give, if he didn’t want Erik to catch onto his suspicions.
Since their arrival Charles had professed faith in the doctors. He had said he believed their treatment had direction, that they were merely trying to help them. So…it was to his good fortune then that his and Erik’s abilities were not reversed. After all, this faith had been slowly dwindling not only day by day, but hour by hour. Every minute he had spent devoid of his powers was a new trial. He had never known what it was like to feel ‘normal’. But unlike other mutants, he couldn’t say it was a feeling he enjoyed. He would not let his powers go to waste now…not when there was something of this mystery he could shed some light on. Or so he hoped.
Eyes shut in mute concentration, Charles scoured the thoughts of those who attended the hospital as well, seeking out any scrap of information he could use in his own personal investigation. Among these, he could feel out some abnormalities. It seemed that there were other being like himself that had been admitted here…other mutants. Or so he called them. It was a shock to know that there were so many, that in this enclosed space they perhaps even made up the majority. Perhaps it had something to do with the nature of whatever ‘illness’ they had contracted…if there was one at all.
Charles’ brow furrowed at the thought. He couldn’t afford to think that way, to place doubts in those he had previously trusted unconditionally. They were doctors, he had thought, surely they were there to help them. However, he was more and more commonly finding that this view was not shared…especially in the aftermath of the first treatment they had all come to face. What was the purpose behind it? How could it be considered any kind of cure to torture the populace that way? These were questions Charles also possessed himself…though perhaps had been too frightened to admit to. But no more. He would find the details on this supposed illness…or at least proof of its existence at all.
Lowering his fingertips from his temple, Charles cut off his connection to the minds of those also residing in the hospital, taking a moment to return to the room before him. The three beds that also stood within the room remained empty. His roommates were absent for the time being…and Charles could only hope this would remain the case while he took a look around. After all, he’d rather not have his fellow mutant pose any questions about his absence. He didn’t suppose making himself a cup of tea would be a valid excuse for more than one occasion. He had better use it sparingly…
Excusing himself from the empty room, the professor mutely slid his hands into his pockets, tracing his way down along a hall that was widely untrod. Charles did not consider himself much of an adventurer, more of a guide really… But if he wanted answers then he would accomplish this himself, without the aid of any others who could hinder the process with their concerns.
His steps brought him to the mouth of a flight of stairs he’d only previously seen in the glimpse of a mind of another. There was a hesitation to proceed, but a loud sound startled Charles from that trepidation. There was definitely someone down there, and this left no time for him to fret. Lifting his hand once more to his temple, Charles advanced slowly down the steps, reaching out with his mind to locate the soul who had previously occupied the room. And, in the process, detected the barest traces of a concluding thought. Although…the content of the thought was quite disconcerting…
Reaching out with his mind, Charles proceeded to interject his words into the mind of the stranger, throwing caution to the wind in making his presence known. Perhaps if he was forward enough, he could frighten the other into rethinking his position. Gripping the doorknob, he resolved himself to this decision, sliding the door open before him.
‘And may I ask precisely what the ‘usual’ entails? I’m not too keen on dying today, Uryuu Ryuunosuke…’
Without a question, the noise Uryuu had made earlier had attracted the attention of a fellow inhabitant of the hospital. His years of killing, and subsequent skills involved in hunting his victims, had focused his senses: footsteps from a distance were easy to pick up on. After all, how else would have have been able to wreck havoc over Japan if he couldn't avoid being caught.
Regardless if the individual approaching was a patient or member of staff, Uryuu had to ensure that he would be able to subdue - or, at the bare minimum, sustain whoever was coming towards him. Failure to do so could result in a harsh punishment or, in the path of the wrong person, death. Calming his body and remaining as silent as possible, he zoned in on the sound of the footsteps....
Judging by the pace of his movements, they should be here any moment. The heaviness of the impact means he's probably a dude.
Sound, speed, impact - these were all part of Uryuu's calculations. They had to be precise, one fatal error could mean the difference between being exposed and a successful kill. It's why he was so successful, and honestly why people never suspected him - his relaxed and joking demeanor disguised his true ability.
Suddenly, it went wrong for Uryuu...
If only for a split second, the killer lost complete focus of the target. It was an unexplainable phenomenon - it would be best described as telepathy or something like that, but that was totally absurd. That kinda stuff only existed in comic books, it must just be his vivid imagination running astray for a second. Still... the words were awfully specific. "The usual" - Uryuu had just thought that moments before. The tone didn't seem like something Uryuu would imagine either, yet it was just all too absurd to him.
That moment of lapse in concentration was all it took though, as the door to the morgue shot open. The sound of the handle turning pulled Uryuu back to his senses, but by then it was far too late: scalpel first he lunged at where he predicted the target was. But instead, the only thing cut was thin air... SHIT.
Uryuu spun around to the entrance of the door, where before him stood a young man. Composed, focused - but, most surprisingly, not at all fazed by what just happened before him. Most people, granted this lucky break, would have attempted to escape almost immediately while praising their luck. Yet, before Uryuu, this man stood before him confidently, as if certain that Uryuu could do nothing to harm him. With that, Uryuu stumbled back but quickly caught himself and stiffened up, pointing the scalpel towards the mysterious figure:
"Yo, man... What the hell was that - was that you talking into my mind? That's cool, but also creepy as shit. You better watch it, don't want to test your luck with me."
Uryuu's surprise at being thwarted slowly evaporated from his face, his initial sinister smirk replacing it. This might be some fun after all, it had been a while since he trapped a victim who could fight back...
The Morgue - Open; 01
The plain white walls, the smell of antiseptic covering every inch of the building - there was no mistaking that this hospital tormented its patients with such plain, yet confronting, features. Occasionally, at night (and even more rarely, during the day), the screams and cries for help could be heard echoing through out the halls of Bethlehem Royal. Some embraced this new environment, knowing full well that they were sealed here because they were infected. Others were sure that they were locked up as part of some conspiracy: the 'infections' mentioned were simply fabrication, an excuse to persecute them for their plans, beliefs, or even the smallest discriminations.
Despite what anyone thought, however, the harsh reality was that there was indeed a deadly infection - and the ever growing body count in the hospital's morgue was first hand evidence of the truth...
Uryuu hadn't spent much time within the walls of the building, but he was able to quickly deduce that the smell of bodies were quite strong. Being a seasoned murderer himself, he knew the stench of a dead body like no other - and despite the hospital staff's attempts to disguise the ever growing count in the morgue, or even its location, Uryuu easily deduced it's location and, when he was free from his daily routine, snuck away from the peering eyes of the staff to examine the contents of the room he smelt every night since his incarceration.
For a place that the Bethlehem Royal orderlies made such an effort to disguise, the security around the morgue was non-existant. Maybe because they had to focus their efforts so much on preventing patients from escaping that they simply lacked the manpower to guard every important room in the building. Without a moment of hesitation, the stronger smell of corpses evoking a bloodlust within Uryuu's mind, he barged through the door to a graphic scene:
A body lay propped on an operating table, suggesting that autopsies were performed in this room too. Surrounding it, on the three remaining walls of the room, were large cabinets and drawers accompanied by a nametag on each drawer - presumably where the bodies were kept. A grin grew across Uryuu's face: he had heard rumours on the streets that people died in quite... unique ways in Bethlehem Royal, but he never imagined he would see it first hand. Yet here he was, to him this room was Nirvana.
Pulling off the sheets on the operating table, Uryuu exposed a young man whom the staff were preparing to perform an autopsy on. His skin had corroded and melted, in some instances all the way down to the bone. Yet, the most confronting feature was the man's broken left leg - an indication that this man suffered and had to walk while suffering from whatever caused this. Unable to keep his thoughts restricted to his own mind, Uryuu whispered to himself in an excited tone:
"Oh? I wonder how fast acting this is? Maybe I could learn how to produce it if it's instant"
It was the first time Uryuu had seen someone reduced to this state, and the uniqueness would make his 'work' stand out more to the public as it was found. Sure, he was already a feared murder in Japan with a national reputation as a feared serial killer. Hell even Interpol and other international agencies had provided, to an extent, assistance to the Japanese government to help catch him. Yet if he could perfect an art like this, Uryuu would set himself apart from any other killer in the past.
He would truly be one of a kind...
Filled with vigor at the sight before him, Uryuu began to pull open the drawers one by one and studied the sights before him: a woman who had torn her own throat out, a suicide victim, a man who barely weighed more than the drawer he had been placed in. Every case was unique - it would appear that the infection either mutated differently per person, or that multiple existed. Regardless, Uryuu studied each closely and got more and more excited as he discovered a more unique and 'beautiful' sight with every body he pulled out.
His indulgence got the better of him, however. With a momentary lapse of concentration he yanked a drawer out too far and it came caressing to the ground with a large bang. The force was so strong that the lifeless body inside popped up on impact and hung half-in half-out of the casing as a result. There was no doubt that someone had heard the noise, and with his quick deductions Uryuu seized the scalpel beside the operating table and leaned up against the wall where the door was.
If one of the staff comes in, this is my chance to figure out how one can control these infections. If it's another patient... well I guess it's business as usual...

“Hama Reppujin no Jutsu!” Wind carves its way through the tunnel, extinguishing the bonfire and scattering the embers across the murderer’s makeshift rest stop. At the same time, several blades made of the violent wind slice through the supports holding up the previously-cooking man, letting him fall to the ground. From the darkness of the tunnel, a man in black leather and a face-mask emerges, green eyes glaring out balefully at the killer’s sick culinary display. Something had seemed fishy about having a stop like this in the sewers of all places, and his suspicions had indeed been confirmed by the familiar sight and smell of blood and gore.
“…despicable.” He turns his attention to the man he had freed, his voice low and thick with barely contained disgust for the horrors around him. “Stay down.” His eyes then turn to the perpetrator of all the horrors filling the room, arm raising and drawing the sheathed katana from his back before leveling the shining blade with the deranged man’s chest. He would give the man only a few moments to repent before the face of his own death. He begins to slowly advance, eyes filling with killing intent. There were few things that could shake Ryu Hayabusa, and, truthfully, even this show of horrors couldn’t make him lose his cool, but the cruelty shown here was not something that the ninja could forgive. This man was clearly involved in the War, and he was a being that Ryu could not ignore the existence of.
“…you will be erased.”
… a chance summoning indeed.
Voices had resonated within her resting soul, enticing her to appear within a world far beyond her own. A wish to be granted was the only motivation that allowed her mind to submit this once, allowing a circular seal to begin glowing atop the dirtied stretch that both Master and enemy Servant resided upon. Ah, but that would all change once the appearance of a venomous serpent would appear, would it not?
Lavender swathed butterflies fluttered within the room from the floor, dispersing into sparkles that began to float gently downward in ephemeral pulchritude. And, among the spectacular display stood the raven haired beauty; violet optics opening in slow observation as she took in her surrounding. Arms hung loosely as body shifted at a lofty pace, her serpentine gaze shifting to the corner of her eyes.
This odour of seared flesh and musty iron did naught but intrigue her. “ … my, such a tantalizing arouma. Did you prepare it as a welcoming just for me? ”
It was then her leisurely glance fell upon the man who stood behind her — the one who she could only assumed was the reason of her appearance. For now her queries would be left untended, lips twitching into a peculiar smile for a woman to present. As if a predator were ready to strike it’s new found prey that had unwisely stumbled upon it’s nest.
“ I believe what you are after is mine. If not, then as usual, I take whatever I want — ”
And what she desired for this moment was that defenseless boy, claws materializing in a moments notice. Digits curled as her right arm lifted, tongue trailing slowly over one stretch of metal as her head tilted. For now, she would allow this Servant to make the first move if a clash was to ensue.
Whether he would attack or retreat, however, would determine her next action.
The events which transpired before Uryuu would be described by most as a miracle from God, yet something told the young murderer that some other force was behind this - after all, it wasn't like God approved of serial killings. The room swirled with lavender, highly unfitting for the scenery that surrounded them as the lustful colour and smell clashed with that of rotting flesh which had pertained through out Uryuu's hideout. Regardless of the absurd scene: he had been given a lifeline, and it would be foolish not to make use of it.
The symbol on his hand all but confirmed his suspicions - he had seen it on the other masters he had encountered...
"Alright! My servant is finally here, lets kick some ass!"
Uryuu was ecstatic at the beautiful figure before him - she was definitely unique, dress and all. As if reading her master's mind, the newly summoned servant slid between Uryuu and the aggressor as if to protect her master. Looks like she can think for herself, huh. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, the woman was wearing some sort of claw-like weapon. They looked like they could tear up flesh with ease, and Uryuu's mind drifted off imagining the possibilities that she could cause to the human body with blades like those. Especially to children, whose bodies weren't as thick as a grown adults. How many cuts would she need to make before reaching the internal organs? Or even better: could she create an exit wound in one strike...?
Now was not the time for such idle though, though, and Uryuu snapped back to reality upon remembering that there was still impending danger before him. The ninja who had cornered him was prepared to end Uryuu's life with no hesitation, but now the tables were turned He needed to prepare a counterattack - and fast - or this turn of events would have been nothing but a slight delay in the ninja's execution. His servant shot a quick glance back at Uryuu, indicating that she was ready for whatever he demanded of her.
"I don't care how you do it, but just keep me alive yo! I really don't want to die, so lets stop this guy."
Sure, Uryuu always wondered how it would feel to experience his own death. Hell he even fantasied about how great it would be. But with everything in Fuyuki City heating up as of late, and the possibility to witness new and exciting ways to die from the new guests, he wasn't ready to throw his life away just yet.
Now, he just needed to have faith that his new servant could do the job...

[Trigger warning: gore and torture]
The announcement had carried through Fuyuki City for the last 24 hours, and probably wouldn’t cease until all those involved were aware that the time for fighting was near. For Uryuu however, there was little for him to do: his servant had not yet materialise, and judging by the company he already had bumped into he was well aware he would not stand against most of those who were currently participating in the Holy Grail War.
However, that didn’t mean that the young serial killer’s reign of terror had to slow down…
Within the confides of his hideout, a cave-like area dug into the sewers of Fuyuki City, a bonfire and candles were the only thing which illuminated the otherwise dark base of operations. A new addition, though, were a series of signs placed so that they directed to Uryuu’s location. Usually he would want to keep it concealed: he was a wanted fugitive hunted by police and vigilantes. But tonight, that was going away - there were more important things than being concealed.
Uryuu hummed away as he laboured around the area, making sure everything was perfectly in place. On a table right beside him, crudely crafted bowls of what appeared to be human skulls were filled to the brim with intestines - thinly sliced and cut into a mock pasta dish. They were neatly aligned, some older than others showing how fresh the produce was, as if they were behind a display counter at a food store.
Additionally, hanging by meat hooks from piping near the roof, human arms and legs were scattered all around the room. Fresh, cooked, burned: once again a variety to choose from, depending on personal preference. By now, it was evident by the preparation of the organs and limbs that Uryuu was passing them off as food to restore prana.
Of course, he didn’t expect to sell any of this. Uryuu thought of it more as an exhibition of his ‘talents’ to anyone who would deem it necessary to visit him. For good measure, however, there were various signs at the entrances of the sewer system promising free food for prana restoration. Disguised as a pit stop provided by the Church, since their announcement so desperately urged participants to rejuvenate their prana supply.
The coup de grace, however, was still on it’s way to completion. On either side of the bonfire were supports - both holding up a firm, steel pipe. Similar to one which you would place a pig on when you spit roasted it before eating. On one of the ends was a handle, which Uryuu moved towards with a sinister grin and started rotating.
Hog tied to the pipe? A still-breathing man, ungagged, screaming for his life as the fire slow roasted his body. The man’s desperate yells did nothing make Uryuu rethink his actions - he just continued to chug along as if he was cooking an ordinary animal. Doing the best impression of a French chef’s accent, like he had seen on TV, Uryuu shouted at the top of his lungs so that it echoed to anyone in the sewer system:
“Dinnnner is served!”

The initial glance gave to the contractor of the Queen more information than he actually thought he could gather in just a few minutes. Working by impulse and with no predetermination what a fool. They clearly weren’t at the same strategic level. Mean while this individual was indeed thirsty of blood and violent at the finest, the lack of tactics made Vincent not take him as a serious criminal but more to be a curious man who was killed boredom harming people. How pitiful.
The tall blonde man side glanced at the girl who squirmed before being directed at him. Just as a pagan Roman god, the child presented as sacrifice to fulfil his more atrocious desires. Even so it was needless to expect the adopted Nightray to shamelessly raise his hand against a creature that had no harm or bother him in the slightest, so having to deal with the bother of a kid next to him was annoying really.
As the girl stood aside from the noble man, one hand traced a line with the tip of his finger caressing lightly the cheek of the child. The sinister scene could give anyone goosebumps but it was in none of his intentions to kill the one he was studying now. There was no use for it. Vincent smiled softly without saying a word, the fear could be felt in the entire room, the tears of the little girl who’s eyes pleaded for forgiveness of a crime she had not committed. And the sound of flesh being cut dragged his attention back to the purple shirt that was now covered in blood. The screaming of the other child as both of his arms fell onto the floor and the rivers of crimson red poured by each wound.
As initial reaction the girl standing aside held onto the noble and covered her own eyes. Even if he had decided to not kill her for obvious reasons, the tragedy she witnessed was enough to scar her for the rest of her life. The other kid in the other hand, hues pleading for the violence to stop or kill him for good, tears rolling down those cheeks. This whole ordeal had no point being, as Vincent gathered so far it was nothing but killing and torturing for the own amusement, and mean while the Nightray was not against any of this, he had standards to which he stood, and harming innocent people was not in his books.
When the other one smirked back and commented the only expression faced was an unamused one. No annoyance or remorse in his eyes. “I find no amusement in your actions.”
That being said, the blonde man opened the door once more and directed the other child to walk away from the place that from now on will be the holder of her nightmares and misfortune. Locking the door behind him, Vincent walked straight to the man and taking golden scissors out slew the neck of the kid to end the unnecessary suffering. What a party pooper he came out to be this time, but this was borderline sickening to begin with. The blood that scurried from the golden scissors fell one by one on the top of the forehead of the other man that was know kneeling in front of a dead body.
“Killing for the own amusement with no fundament of action is sickening.”
The high expectations which Uryuu had expected from the man before him had been crushed before his very eyes. Just before it appeared that the stranger was to do the deed, he hesitated and freed the prey Uryuu had prepared. Whether it was guilt, disgust, or simply a lack of balls - the man had the nerve to criticise Uryuu for the events which had conspired in the home invasion.
"You idiot! What the hell did ya' do that for?!?! You know she's going to go to the police now, right? Fuuuuuuuuuuck!"
Had he expected this, Uryuu would have likely killed his unexpected company the moment he walked in. But for someone with such a sinister appearance, he anticipated that the man would be more than willing to participate in the festivities. For now, though, Uryuu was trapped in a peculiar situation. Out of frustration, he stomped the ground and fidgeted continuously in anxiousness as he tried to formulate a plan to resolve the predicament he found himself in.
This was the reason Uryuu always operated solo, why he never committed group murder. Besides the fact that if one of them were caught and could give up the others, there were very few people on the Earth likely to get as... involved as Uryuu did with his victims. They weren't prepared to explore the deepest extents of death, and hence were repulsed at his explorations through the human body.
"You idiot, they were for research! There was plenty of reasons to kill them, don't go spouting that bullshit at me. Damn, dude..."
Guttered was probably the best way to explain how Uryuu felt. To be denied a hunter's prey, especially when they were all but dead, was exceptionally depressing. And even much so when unwelcome company spoils the party.
"Sigh, oh well. I guess you'll have to make up my quota for tonight!"
Uryuu unsheathed the surgical scalpel he had in his right pocket, and suddenly darted out towards the intruder. The blade was poised so that he could easily cause a diagonal slash down the man's body - hopefully powerful enough that he would render his opponent powerless. If he was to deny Uryuu his test subject, then he should be more than willing to fill in the role: right?

“Beautiful… that, I can agree with. It’s simply enchanting, isn’t it?” So, this man wasn’t doing it out of love but for beauty. Was there a difference? Love was beautiful and every death on this planet was a result of that said love. They were coiled together, like snakes in mating and no amount of pulling could tear that fact apart.
“A gentleman! I’ll treasure it, with all of my heart!” A wonderful gift! A permanent reminder of this glorious day, when two kindred souls happened upon each other. She placed it firmly on her head, patting down the soft blond curls and delighting in every bloody ‘squelch’ that resulted with every pat. A little small, as expected, but she loved it all the same.
“Ha~! How do I look?” Haruna giggled into the palm of her hand. She wondered if her master would appreciate a gift like this one. Perhaps if she adorned it in flowers and hair clips…
“Now it’s your turn, you gotta get in on the action too!!”
“Hm… well… why don’t I show you what I do best?” Her giggling faded down into a sweet smile and she directed her gaze to the cowering boy. Tied up, with no where to run or savior to look to. Just as how she preferred.
From the holster wrapped around her thigh, the servant produced a small knife. On her hand and knees, she crawled over towards the child and lifted up his shirt, exposing a soft belly. “Now… this will pinch.” She pressed the knife against his stomach and pressed and pressed and pressed until the lightest of cuts form a thin red line. Just enough to leave a small mark.
“There!” Boldly laughing again, Haruna switched from skin to rope and proceeded to cut away his binds. Now free, she placed the weapon in the palm of his hand, gave it a gentle squeeze and scooted back.
Red eyes met their twins. Soon after being cut, the boy’s own hues had taken on a glowing crimson, masking every bit of fear and terror he was previously inflicted with. Instead, a demented glaze washed over his optics like a film and the boy stared back at Haruna with a broken smile.
“Sweetie, please be a dear and make my new friend a gift… I think something bright red would suit him well. Wouldn’t you agree?”
He nodded and, clumsily, the boy began his self-vivisection. Digging into the cut made by his ‘mother’, he plunged the knife deep within his own body and carved upwards without a breath of hesitation, gasps of pain doing nothing to hinder his task. Satisfied with the sizeable opening, he pulled back a flap of skin and began his work inside — his hand lazily pushed between organs, covering himself in a sheen of his own bodily fluids. With a firm grasp and a quick cut of his knife, he yanked his intestines out and presented it to him audience.
And soon afterwards, succumbed to death.
“There we go…” Held in up in her own hands, Haruna grinned at her fellow murderer. “A tie, just for you! Is this an acceptable gift?”
There was no way to explain this sight before him. "Cool" was probably the most fitting thing, but it definitely wouldn't be to the average person. This chick was seriously cool: she seemed real crazy, and Uryuu could really appreciate that.
"You look real stunnin'!"
The two of them laughed uncontrollably at the sight before them, their shared passion for gore making them friends instantaneously. The only one who wasn't enjoying themselves was the last one alive in the room - the young boy tied up against the chair. Where the hell had this girl even come from, she was really straight out of some slasher fic. There was no way this was real. Well, there was still one more test to be sure.
What then happened in the confines of the house were absolutely absurd and indescribable. This boy, just from the smallest mark, got up and started to literally cut open his insides. Uryuu had to pinch himself to make sure he wasn't dreamingL he had never heard of anything like this. The red eyes... was this like possession? Did he really summon a demon? No, that couldn't have been it, the pentagram was nowhere near finished - she was something else...
"It's perfect! That was fucking amazing, how did you even do that?!?!"
Uryuu took the gift she had made for him and strung it around his neck, shooting a cheeky pose as if he was a model on the runway - evoking a laugh from his guest. He ran up to her excitedly, keen to know more after seeing that demonstration. What the fuck was this woman, there is no way she was human. As stunning as she was, those red eyes told a completely different story.
"Pretty soon the news stations are gonna get us mixed up, ya know? How come I've never heard of you before?"
She definitely deserved the amount of coverage Uryuu got on the media. She was for real, and Uryuu was definitely excited at the prospects of working with her in the future.
