Snack of a Mayora [open]
He exhaled the smoke from his cigarette one last time before putting it into the ashtray in from of him. Without the people from the shinsengumi around, he at last found some peace, even if he felt really bad for neglecting his job. There wasn’t much he could do about it anyway. He wasn’t in Edo.
But ah, at last his food arrived to him after quite some time. He gave the seller a quick ‘thank you’ along with the payment, and left the store with the dango he ordered. He didn’t know where to start looking so all Hijikata could do for now was enjoying his food.
“Finally some peaceful alone time…”
Of course, a snack or a meal would never be complete for him without the one key thing. Taking out a plastic bottle from underneath his clothing, Hijikata opened the cap and started to pour mayonnaise onto the dango in his hands. What else was better than another snack covered in mayonnaise.
But just when he was about to take a bite out of his food, he stopped. He wasn’t dumb. He was well aware that someone took notice of him, for whatever reason it may have been. One thing was clear, it sure ruined his mood to eat.
“Come out, wouldn’t you? This isn’t a game of hide and seek.”
This city had several points of interest one might partake in. Views that could not be relished in another country, how the light beamed so beautifully across the landscape with each passing minute. Yet the vision which reflected within the princess' calculating gaze was different from mere sightseeing that a tourist might devour within seconds of arriving. Focused on a man with black tresses, ready to enjoy a meal he had just recently purchased.
A quirk of a brow at the commentary that soon revealed he was aware of her observing presence. Impressive, though expected of another participant in this sickening war which they played their roles splendidly in. Raven tufts swayed with the tilt of her head, uncertain if he had another motive behind calling out to this watcher with what seemed like carelessness.
Lips twisted into a serpentine smile. " Cold words to a lady who simply wishes to indulge in company. "
Slipping from the edge of the chosen seat, wooden sandals clapped against the cement gently. An arm wrapped itself around the delicate fabrics that bound her kimono, resting beneath her arm as digits held a kiseru leisurely in the air next to her. A second and she moved into the sight of this man, smoke wafting gently from the end of her pipe.
" War is but a game of domination, however... hide and seek describes it well, no? While you both hide to gain information, you also both seek the enemy to dispatch them before they learn too much. But, for now, I am not here to eliminate you.
... with that said, would you object to this lady joining you? "

[Trigger warning: gore and torture]
The announcement had carried through Fuyuki City for the last 24 hours, and probably wouldn’t cease until all those involved were aware that the time for fighting was near. For Uryuu however, there was little for him to do: his servant had not yet materialise, and judging by the company he already had bumped into he was well aware he would not stand against most of those who were currently participating in the Holy Grail War.
However, that didn’t mean that the young serial killer’s reign of terror had to slow down…
Within the confides of his hideout, a cave-like area dug into the sewers of Fuyuki City, a bonfire and candles were the only thing which illuminated the otherwise dark base of operations. A new addition, though, were a series of signs placed so that they directed to Uryuu’s location. Usually he would want to keep it concealed: he was a wanted fugitive hunted by police and vigilantes. But tonight, that was going away - there were more important things than being concealed.
Uryuu hummed away as he laboured around the area, making sure everything was perfectly in place. On a table right beside him, crudely crafted bowls of what appeared to be human skulls were filled to the brim with intestines - thinly sliced and cut into a mock pasta dish. They were neatly aligned, some older than others showing how fresh the produce was, as if they were behind a display counter at a food store.
Additionally, hanging by meat hooks from piping near the roof, human arms and legs were scattered all around the room. Fresh, cooked, burned: once again a variety to choose from, depending on personal preference. By now, it was evident by the preparation of the organs and limbs that Uryuu was passing them off as food to restore prana.
Of course, he didn’t expect to sell any of this. Uryuu thought of it more as an exhibition of his ‘talents’ to anyone who would deem it necessary to visit him. For good measure, however, there were various signs at the entrances of the sewer system promising free food for prana restoration. Disguised as a pit stop provided by the Church, since their announcement so desperately urged participants to rejuvenate their prana supply.
The coup de grace, however, was still on it’s way to completion. On either side of the bonfire were supports - both holding up a firm, steel pipe. Similar to one which you would place a pig on when you spit roasted it before eating. On one of the ends was a handle, which Uryuu moved towards with a sinister grin and started rotating.
Hog tied to the pipe? A still-breathing man, ungagged, screaming for his life as the fire slow roasted his body. The man’s desperate yells did nothing make Uryuu rethink his actions - he just continued to chug along as if he was cooking an ordinary animal. Doing the best impression of a French chef’s accent, like he had seen on TV, Uryuu shouted at the top of his lungs so that it echoed to anyone in the sewer system:
“Dinnnner is served!”
“Hama Reppujin no Jutsu!” Wind carves its way through the tunnel, extinguishing the bonfire and scattering the embers across the murderer’s makeshift rest stop. At the same time, several blades made of the violent wind slice through the supports holding up the previously-cooking man, letting him fall to the ground. From the darkness of the tunnel, a man in black leather and a face-mask emerges, green eyes glaring out balefully at the killer’s sick culinary display. Something had seemed fishy about having a stop like this in the sewers of all places, and his suspicions had indeed been confirmed by the familiar sight and smell of blood and gore.
“…despicable.” He turns his attention to the man he had freed, his voice low and thick with barely contained disgust for the horrors around him. “Stay down.” His eyes then turn to the perpetrator of all the horrors filling the room, arm raising and drawing the sheathed katana from his back before leveling the shining blade with the deranged man’s chest. He would give the man only a few moments to repent before the face of his own death. He begins to slowly advance, eyes filling with killing intent. There were few things that could shake Ryu Hayabusa, and, truthfully, even this show of horrors couldn’t make him lose his cool, but the cruelty shown here was not something that the ninja could forgive. This man was clearly involved in the War, and he was a being that Ryu could not ignore the existence of.
“…you will be erased.”
... a chance summoning indeed.
Voices had resonated within her resting soul, enticing her to appear within a world far beyond her own. A wish to be granted was the only motivation that allowed her mind to submit this once, allowing a circular seal to begin glowing atop the dirtied stretch that both Master and enemy Servant resided upon. Ah, but that would all change once the appearance of a venomous serpent would appear, would it not?
Lavender swathed butterflies fluttered within the room from the floor, dispersing into sparkles that began to float gently downward in ephemeral pulchritude. And, among the spectacular display stood the raven haired beauty; violet optics opening in slow observation as she took in her surrounding. Arms hung loosely as body shifted at a lofty pace, her serpentine gaze shifting to the corner of her eyes.
This odour of seared flesh and musty iron did naught but intrigue her. " ... my, such a tantalizing arouma. Did you prepare it as a welcoming just for me? "
It was then her leisurely glance fell upon the man who stood behind her -- the one who she could only assumed was the reason of her appearance. For now her queries would be left untended, lips twitching into a peculiar smile for a woman to present. As if a predator were ready to strike it's new found prey that had unwisely stumbled upon it's nest.
" I believe what you are after is mine. If not, then as usual, I take whatever I want -- "
And what she desired for this moment was that defenseless boy, claws materializing in a moments notice. Digits curled as her right arm lifted, tongue trailing slowly over one stretch of metal as her head tilted. For now, she would allow this Servant to make the first move if a clash was to ensue.
Whether he would attack or retreat, however, would determine her next action.
WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU ARE IN A BAD MOOD?
" The battlefield allows you to vent your frustrations, wouldn't you say? "
