Rido and Kaname aren't that different, rido was just delusional in thinking he could have juri , i guess Kaname had little common sense that he will never have yuki , so he decided to be a good fiancee and let her go. So in the both of them being pathetic losers eternally unloved by the person they want the way they want. Losers till the end , with Kaname having a little brain cells more than Rido. Not bashing Kaname or anything just realizing their predicament were quite similar.

Kaname actually struggled with this a lot. There were only a few pages that showed this, so it’s kinda hard to remember.

Kaname was afraid to be like Rido. The whole ‘it was a miscalculation on my part that you were born’ thing was probably him saying he didn’t expect his deep seeded obsessiveness and rotten love to show through the others. Rido was what Kaname could’ve become.

Kaname spent time ‘talking’ to Rido in his mind. He would struggle with wanting to chain Yuki to the bed and keep her captive and wanting to cherish her happiness.

I think this ask paints Kaname in a more pathetic light than he is in. Kaname was loved. He was very loved and cherished by many, including Yuki. She loved him deeply. And he knew that.

I do understand the sentiment you’re trying to get across. Kaname and Rido both have obsessive love, but what they did with it was different.

Your thoughts on Yuki and the Hooded Woman؟

I was skeptical about the hooded woman at first. I really didn’t like her. Because I love Yuki so much I was frustrated when another woman came into the picture (I know she’s from the past, but still). After everything the hooded woman appears and shakes the idea that Kaname loves only Yuki.

Now I don’t really care for her? I do appreciate the contributions she made to the story, however I don’t think her part was necessary. She added a layer of angst we didn’t need lol. Seeing Kaname with another woman after he was pledging himself to Yuki was sour. Broke my heart seeing Yuki like that. It was like,, since Yuki had Zero then Kaname must have another, too? Idk if this makes sense I’m rambling tbh.

I do love Yuki. I’ve said before, but she gets way too much hate. She’s literally a baby. She was 16 when everything began, so of course she was going to be awkward and stuff. Even Kaname said she was awkward in speech and movement (until very recently). She’s got a good heart. I can’t say I don’t have moments when I’m not frustrated with her. She can be frustrating, as can all of the characters.

Do you read read vampire knight fanfics , if you do i suggest you read heterochromia . Its a zero x oc story . It made me realize that one should be true to their feelings , whether its zero , yuki or Kaname . Its true for all three of them , Kaname tried to deny the truth of yuki loving zero too and thus let his desires overlook her happiness , yuki couldn't be truthful of her desires for both Kaname and Zero , she loved Zero , yet she also strung Kaname , maybe she wanted to love him but was unable to love him , but Kaname somehow also knew the truth yet he played along , he should have just come out and say it hurts but he remained an idiot till the very end . Zero instead of pointing his gun at her should have just confessed . I just wish yuki would have been truthful like the heroine of the story . So , yuki wasted two years of her life with the man she didn't love torturing all of three of them in the end . I am glad Kaname decided to die cause he was destined for heartbreak , for his heart yuki can't be trusted .

Probably. I think she’s grieving the future she made up in her mind for herself (with him in it). She gave up on him as a lover and moved on to wanting a sister whom she could obsess over. I never saw them to be very close. She loved him and looked up to him as a small child, but she never seemed to fully want him there? Idk I think she just got older and matured some. She realized her ‘place’ in the relationship and altered her goals. Maybe she felt uncomfortable with him after her confession. She did always interact with him for the sake of her mother when she was little. It was a stringy relationship to begin with idk. Girl wanted a father and he was like ‘I’m not your dad.’ So idk she probably was really hurt.

I mean not every line is perfect but yeah , since this man is so damn unlucky in love , he should learn to love himself cause truthfully noone is capable of loving him and vice-versa. He is a easy man to fall in love with and a hard man to be in love with .

It's not bullying imo, it's Yuuki struggling to balance her guilt towards both men.

She feels guilty for moving on whilst Kaname sleeps, so she seeks his blessing every time she does something.

But she also feels guilty for making Kaname such a large part of her relationship with Zero, so she tries to comfort him by saying Kaname's disapproval wouldn't have changed things.

However, that in itself is a pointless statement considering that Kaname's last words were literally him giving his blessing for Yuuki and Zero to be together anyway.
