I need to find a plausible excuse for him to survive the end of 4.3, for now I’m just going with ‘everyone was distracted enough by Maxima and taking care of Yotsuyu that a ‘loyal’ soldier scooped him up and helped him back from the brink of death’.

That aside...

I’ve discussed it lightly with @imperialviceroy for a verse where he reunites with the true Zenos somehow (likely returns to Gyr Abania after picking up on some rumors) and from there they conspire to draw out the Warrior of LIght once more. The easiest way to ensure they show up? Summon an ‘eikon’, of course!

(really just a cheap excuse to do an Amaterasu-omikami summoning because it fits his name lololol)

As Zenos saved his life and a good dose of hero worship in the mix, Asahi is more than willing to use the relic Kusanagi no Tsurugi to summon one of the Doman gods into his body (and yes I’m aware Susano’s sword, Ame no Murakumo, is based on the same sword due to his connection with Amaterasu. It’s FFXIV let’s pretend they’re different relics here). He doesn’t care if it winds up in his death, given it’s the biggest thing he can do to be useful.

Due to Asahi’s temperament he has some difficulties controlling the primal once his body is consumed and Zenos has to ‘help’ control him with his Resonance to keep him in line. Amaterasu is not pleased with this.

tl;dr: two crazy imperials summon a primal to lure out the wol because why the fuck not.
