for some reason , i’ve been listening a lot to 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟓 these days ( hello , 2013 - 2015 tumblr ??? ) and suddenly i have lots of ideas revolving their songs . below , you’ll find ten plot ideas inspired by their amazing songs .
𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆 : muse a and muse b were in a relationship for a while and they had a really intense thing for each other . muse a always saw muse b as their soulmate , but muse b didn’t feel this way about their partner . when muse b broke up with muse a to be with another person , muse a didn’t react well . now , they find out they’re going to be workmates / classmates . what now ?
𝒎𝒆 & 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒈 : muse a and muse b have been friends for their whole life . basically platonic soulmate excepts for the fact that muse b is slowly falling in love with muse a or is realizing that they’ve been in love with them for ages now . muse b is contemplating asking muse a , aka their best friend , out on a date , but don’t want to ruin everything .
𝒔𝒆𝒙 : [ cw : toxic relationship ] if there’s one word to describe muse a and muse b’s relationship , it’s ‘ casual ’ . while muse a is developing feelings for muse b , muse b is actually in a relationship with another person and says they are confused about their feelings . so they avoid talking about what they are . . . until muse a decides to confront muse b .
𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒚 : muse a seems to be the only person who can see past muse b’s blasé façade , who pretends not to care about anything and acts like a rebel . even though no one really understands their relationship , the truth is that muse a is the only person that muse b can be vulnerable with .
𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚 : muse a and muse b are nothing alike , but as they say , opposites attract . it’s your typical ‘ poor boy / girl meets rich boy / girl ’ , and while they’re extremely different , this seems to be what draws one to the other . however , for this same reason , they seem to be in constant arguments , as especially muse a ( the rich one ) criticizes the way muse b ( the poor one ) lives their life and tries to ‘ make it better ’ , aka make it more presentable to the society .
𝒃𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 : muse a and muse b met casually at a bar / club / party setting and immediately clicked . the thing is that muse a has just got off a relationship and doesn’t want to be involved with muse b . now , months later , muse a regrets not giving muse b a chance back then and gives them a call / texts them , because they decided they’ve got nothing to lose .

𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒆 : a love affair between a celebrity and a ‘ normal ’ person . muse a is a big fan of muse b , so when they accidentally meet on a flight , muse a tries to keep it cool but can’t help themselves and starts making conversation with muse b . surprisingly for them , muse b is really giving them more attention than expected .
𝒔𝒉𝒆'𝒔 𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒏 : an international relationship where muse a lived abroad for work , met muse b , but had to go back to their home country . it is a plot about exploring cultural differences , struggling with timezones and learning out more about each other .
